maybe you just shouldn't be a clumsy disoriented oaf when handling things
I've had older cases of other types last longer, as I'm actually quite careful with my discs. You fail to sway me, good sir.
This. Why are we using optical mediums when cheap high capacity memory cards abound? Just make it read-only. Also would load faster, and could skip to any part of the movie without delay. More robust than discs, which scratch easily. Memory is becoming smaller and cheaper, I wouldn't be surprised if eventually we stop using disks altogether in a few years.
For a short time I know Wal-Mart was selling music on solid-state devices. They didn't go over too well though.

Making a CD doesn't even cost half a bux. In few years a 50gb BD-rom is the standard, and I doubt that the price for a 50gb flash will be under 1bux. Also I think that SSDs won't ever come to real popularity on media sales, it will turn into internet sales.
It's called a "variopac CD case system" i got heaps of binder-albums like this one: once you switch, you NEVER go back, these are awesome!
Mines the same but called the "Ejector"
Only one like it I've ever seen. Glad I picked it up when I did.
Those are stupid. Disk cases are supposed to protect the disks from scratches AND sunlight. That one doesn't do the latter.
Those are stupid. Disk cases are supposed to protect the disks from scratches AND sunlight. That one doesn't do the latter.
It's not like you can put it under other disks or keep them in a drawer/out of window
It's not like you can put it under other disks or keep them in a drawer/out of window
It still means you have to take extra care of them, something that defeats the entire purpose of using a case.
It still means you have to take extra care of them, something that defeats the entire purpose of using a case.
It's invisible so you can easily see the disk inside. Oh the hours I've spent opening up the cases to find the right disk. Sunlight isn't any real problem unless you put them under the sun for years. The gain of see-through case outweighs the cons.
I always loved the old record cases They were simple, protected the record well enough and were easy to store (except for the size). More and more CD come out with similar cases, I like that.
http://store.steampowered.com/ :smug:. Honestly though, it's not difficult to make a case that doesn't scratch the fuck out of disks. Who gives a shit about the environment when we can have clean disks.
Those are stupid. Disk cases are supposed to protect the disks from scratches AND sunlight. That one doesn't do the latter.
is it that much trouble to make it opaque, and add a sticker ontop?
