95% of this thread is either Rago's prgress (which isn't bad) or people bitching at him for posting progress. Can anyone explain what exactly a typewriter exercise is?

is Rago still refusing to lift weights?
is Rago still refusing to lift weights?
Decided to train strength and start gymnastics. My weight atm is perfect for that and so is my lenght and bodytype.
gymnasts usually aren't anorexic though

in fact, most of them lift and are jacked as fuc
What did you do? How do I advance in calisthenics? Push-ups are getting annoying.
Still haven't answered my question, Rago.

Awesome pics. Great size. Look thick. Solid. Tight. Keep us all posted on your continued progress with any new progress pics or vid clips. Show us what you got man. Wanna see how freakin' huge, solid, thick and tight you can get. Thanks for the motivation.
Edit: it's a meme from /fit/ :(

How can i build up strength in my wrists and enough balance to do the handstand pushups? I have the strength but I don't have balance. Advice fp?
Still haven't answered my question, Rago.
Oh, I'm sorry. Well, try to lean more forward with push-ups until you got a pseudo-pushup, from there on you can move to the tuck planche, then the advanced tuck planche, followed by the straddle planche and the full planche.

The easiest way is to do handstands everyday. Oh and pressing up to handstand from different positions. That should build up wrist and shoulder strenght for a HSPU.
Binsky, I improved:
Yes, you did! Quite a good deal, actually. I posted a response in the parkour thread and then saw this but yeah you are digging deeper and extending up longer. It's looking very solid and you have much more air time to complete the flip.

Would a combination of this and ordinary weightlifting be good, you think?
[editline]26th July 2011[/editline]
P.s. I wanna loose weight, but i don't wanna be a skeleton.
Would a combination of this and ordinary weightlifting be good, you think? [editline]26th July 2011[/editline] P.s. I wanna loose weight, but i don't wanna be a skeleton.
Calisthenics basically turns all your mass into muscles, if you want more mass then yes, weightlifting would help.
I don't want to be as skinny as you (no offence, i respect your form), but i admire your balance, and i sorta want to do that too.
I don't want to be as skinny as you (no offence, i respect your form), but i admire your balance, and i sorta want to do that too.
I'm skinny because I'm ectomorph, meaning that I have a hard time gaining weight. I'm sure that when I start doing weights I'll become 10 times bigger, but I'll lose my strength ratio. But my weight will still come, just slower than other people. I'll become bigger. But I was way thinner before all this training. But if you'd like to have some serious muscle mass then you should do weight lifting. If you want to build up more strength than muscle, go for calisthenics.
Also, anyone know a good stomach excersize like the plank (http://0.tqn.com/d/exercise/1/0/q/A/plank1.jpg), but harder?
[editline]26th July 2011[/editline]
Being skinny is fine? Just saying that i'm not going for that doesn't mean i think it's good or bad?

For your abs? L-sits are great. But that also requires lots of shoulder strength. But it's a nice exercise to build up to. Another good exercise is to go into push-up form and keep placing your hands more forward, you will definitely feel your abs burning.
Thanks for the advice! L-sits are hard when you have a little too much bodyweight i think :D

I suppose so. I'm going to start doing tuck planches with weights on my back.

Is he not allowed to post update pictures? It's allowed in the weightlifting and bodybuilding thread to post updates and pics, etc without being shunned. As much as I appreciate weightlifting, I don't see why somebody who enjoys being active through something other than lifting weights is a crime. Same with being huge, is somebody not allowed to be skinny?
Also, for those of you complaining that you can only be super thin mode to do this kind of shit, there are 200+ pound people who regularly do these type of calisthenics and gymnastics such as planche pushups, handstand pushups etc. Nothing against either type of exercise but to each their own, Jesus Christ. He doesn't have to follow your morals, look like you do, or do what you like. Stay out of the thread if you don't like it, honestly. I'm pretty sure Rago will be able to live with himself if he doesn't look like a bear, he's young and doing what he likes.
Agree with AgentBoomstick there. To me, Rago is the one keeping the thread alive.

Thanks, but it wasn't necessary though.

I know you're flattered, but I'm not exactly bodyguarding you. I'm making a point and you are the most obvious person in this thread to make the point with.
