Well it was pretty good. Hit some PR's on some machines, first time I've managed 3 pull ups also. (Very skinny guy obviously)
Today, when drinking with father, I heard the reason why he decided to lose his weight:
When he was weighting more than 100kg, he couldn't fly anymore in lucid dreams.
My left arm is growing faster than my right, despite doing identical reps/sets. I think it's because when I play bass (an EB-3) I have to hold up the neck and it set me with a baseline (pun not intended), so when I started working out it already had more to go on? Yeah, I was "skinny-fat", but only a little pudgy with zero arm muscle from doing nothing for 6 years :v: Aside from more reps on my right to get it build more, what should I do? Chill out on the left?
Recorded a load of videos of me squatting in order to help improve my form, might post some later.
I'm feeling burnt out at the minute, cant wait to get into oly lifting, 3 months on texas method has me sick of powerlifting.

Consider eating properly?
Man there's a lot of dudes half squatting with heavy weight
Wut
dick waving, so when people ask "yo bro how much u squat" they can confidently say 4 plates and then proceed to buckle under 2 when they actually try below parallel

Well when you're drinking PWO, you're literally clicking the FFWD x5 on your body, you're gonna need something in your stomach, as mentioned; fiber. It'd help you not turn into Old Faithful.
I usually pee like a racehorse, but that comes with drinking like half a gallon at the gym with pre-workout at the gym. I never get the runs.
Also, I finally started doing 5x5 OHP for the first time. [sp]65lbs[/sp]

I was at 40kg 5x5 OHP but had a month off pressing work due to shoulders, only just came back to it today at 32.5kg and even that was tough. Left shoulder still sore. :^(
It's a bitch of a lift but the most impressive imo.

When I did my first reps with just the bar, my shoulders started crunching as I push up. Ima start working more on the form too, I think I lean too far back and putting weight on my spine.

i love OHP, it's the lift that makes me feel most like a superhero
OK serious question: how often do you guys notice gains in your performance? Not visual, although I'm curious about that too. I've been working out for a while but recently some of my exercises are barely getting better at all. I'm certain that my diet has limited my ability to improve, but I'm wondering how far behind I am. EG: I've worked up to 7x3 pull ups but it feels about exactly as difficult as it did a month or two ago after I moved out of 5x3 and 6x3, and my hollow hold feels a bit like it's getting worse and it's frustrating.
Also side question: I'm disappointed with my progress obviously (I'll never stop working out, it's just lame that I'm taking so long with it all), but I'm really confused with my side-plank. My right and left arm have balanced out visually since a month ago, but doing a side-plank on my right hand, I can't do more than 35-45 seconds and I've been stuck at that for like 2 months. My core is improving (I gained like 10 pounds since 4 months ago, so I assume my abs showed up because gains??), because I just do the rest of the minute on my elbows, but Wtf.

Should I just drop the bodyweight thing, find a way to make my dumbbells stop smelling of anti-rust oil, and maybe pester my dad for his old bench and basic weight set? bodyweight seems like a pretty niche community and even though I know a few guys that look great doing bodyweight only and ever, I'm starting to think there's a reason like 99% of fitness discussions on the internet are about weightlifting.

I've been taking double scoops am I doing it wrong?
Seriously guys am I actually going to get good results double scooping or am I just damaging my insides with bro science douchebaggery?
Automerge attempt: I guess I don't really know what kind of timeline I should be working on here? All of the before/after posts I've found on /r/fitness and /r/bodybuilding are from "fat->fit". I started dead skinny underweight. Since you can lose weight faster than you can build muscle, and larger guys have larger muscles to begin with, overweight->fit will happen faster than underweight->fit, right? It's so overwhelming to see lean guys' bodies and know just how much muscle mass is there...

For me when I measure gains, I add 5-10LBs at the end of the week and see if I can perform all reps. Then the following week, I work on the weight I performed on Friday. If I struggled either on Max Friday (I call that now when I add weights) or if I am having issues with the new weight during the week, I revert and continue to practice form and see if I can get better with it.
Diet is honestly the most critical aspect of 'gains and fitness.' A food log would work wonders and especially if you can gather data on the foods you eat or if you make it yourself. It's never an exact science but it gives you a good ballpark estimate of your intake and what you need to adjust macro-wise.
For weight, measure yourself at least once a week or every other day first thing in the morning and see if the average trend is going down if you intend to lose weight, but since you're already of slender build, it may not matter much since you're burning and adding some muscle if you're pushing yourself on your workouts.

Ok I need to really officialize something with myself as far as ramping up the difficulty. And I think I will get a scale just to make myself feel better longterm.
But I've been holding off on doing a food journal because it sounds like a ton of work, even if the most put together before/afters have been guys that kept insanely good track of their calorie intake...
