double scoops fine but your tolerance will build depending how often you take it. 4 scoops fucks u up good

Oh that's cool then, I was worried for a sec. Wouldn't people just crash if using that amount of caffeine? Not to mention shelling out £60 on PreW a month doing that much?
Also anyone else use BSN N.O. Xplode? What's everyone ingesting?
Ok I need to really officialize something with myself as far as ramping up the difficulty. And I think I will get a scale just to make myself feel better longterm.
But I've been holding off on doing a food journal because it sounds like a ton of work, even if the most put together before/afters have been guys that kept insanely good track of their calorie intake...
It's honestly just simple math man. For me at this point it's almost second nature to jot down what I eat or just keep a mental note of my intake since I'm still trying to drop more weight. You could measure out the snacks you regularly eat or see what needs to be eliminated which you know that is unhealthy for you.
Just be aware of your macros and you can adjust what is needed. Your body needs certain amounts of those for you to function properly while you exercise.
Sleep also helps too.

EDIT: ALSO, gains-wise or progress-wise, your clothing. If you're starting to notice that your jeans are getting baggier or if you need to tighten your belt to another hole or that your shirts are becoming tighter in certain regions or also getting baggy, you may be seeing progress.
Went from size 32 to 30 jeans in about a few months and I only dropped from 165 to 155 to today and now I have to fucking overhaul my wardrobe now.
Automerge attempt: I guess I don't really know what kind of timeline I should be working on here? All of the before/after posts I've found on /r/fitness and /r/bodybuilding are from "fat->fit". I started dead skinny underweight. Since you can lose weight faster than you can build muscle, and larger guys have larger muscles to begin with, overweight->fit will happen faster than underweight->fit, right? It's so overwhelming to see lean guys' bodies and know just how much muscle mass is there...
As far as how fast you progress, I cant comment, it varies by individual. I started at 6'4 165-ish, hit 200 in a year, 210 the next, and coming up on 225/230 this year. My buddy who is starting out fat-ish lost 10lbs in a year but is noticably more muscular. I remained and skinny the entire way, never could get fat, as did he remain huskier, never could get skinny.
I read before that if you're skinny then your body adapts itself to remaining skinny, much the same with why fat people seem to pack back on their weight quickly if not careful because its used to holding that weight.
If they're stronger or put on mass faster is debatable, you would think the leaner person would have an easier time because they are healthier, with having a low amount of fat it doesn't stress your body as much.

Well at least for now I have a low bodyfat % to work with. It just means for a while I'll be the only person that notices my gains because I avoid the beach and I'm single.
It's comforting to think about fitness in terms of years.
I think its easier starting lean than fat (I cant attest for the latter), because you can see pretty well every small change. Little bit of weight here, more vascularity there, this muscle feels harder, helps you to stay motivated and actually notice the change you're making in yourself.
I time and time again beat myself up for not being bigger, but I always have to sit down and remember I'm only 19 and going on my 3rd year whereas the bigger builds I aspire to be are the result of 5+ years and more testosterone around 25y/o
as a dude who started fat, I think it's easier to start lean too, you don't have to cut a lot of excessive weight in order to even see your gains
I might be biased because I've only really needed to lose weight, but I also think that starting lean is easier than starting fat. When you start lean you only really have up to go, you'll be able to get stronger which may or may not be your main focus but will happen if you focus on getting bigger anyway. So you have two upsides to start gymming. When you start fat you have to lose all that weight so your strength goes stagnant after a while and you don't get any bigger after noobgains (in terms of muscle growth). Starting fat sucks hard and I wish I was a bit more weight conscious when I was younger
[editline]25th August 2015[/editline]
Also if you're excessively overweight like I was loose skin starts to become a problem when you pass the 20-25 kg loss mark (for most people), not the best of things to deal with after a year of struggle

I could see that. I mean I notice a difference, because I was definitely skinnyfat. It's nice to see vascularity during a workout and your abs really fast and arms taking a new shape, but people will probably still categorize me as "skinny" for a long time (edit: especially when my arms are fully extended, which is often), because it's just not possible to build muscle mass quickly. That's not really an immediate issue... just something I think about a lot.
I just won't tell anyone I work out until I don't need to

What a fucking beast
OK serious question: how often do you guys notice gains in your performance? Not visual, although I'm curious about that too. I've been working out for a while but recently some of my exercises are barely getting better at all. I'm certain that my diet has limited my ability to improve, but I'm wondering how far behind I am. EG: I've worked up to 7x3 pull ups but it feels about exactly as difficult as it did a month or two ago after I moved out of 5x3 and 6x3, and my hollow hold feels a bit like it's getting worse and it's frustrating.
Also side question: I'm disappointed with my progress obviously (I'll never stop working out, it's just lame that I'm taking so long with it all), but I'm really confused with my side-plank. My right and left arm have balanced out visually since a month ago, but doing a side-plank on my right hand, I can't do more than 35-45 seconds and I've been stuck at that for like 2 months. My core is improving (I gained like 10 pounds since 4 months ago, so I assume my abs showed up because gains??), because I just do the rest of the minute on my elbows, but Wtf.
[editline]24th August 2015[/editline]
Should I just drop the bodyweight thing, find a way to make my dumbbells stop smelling of anti-rust oil, and maybe pester my dad for his old bench and basic weight set? bodyweight seems like a pretty niche community and even though I know a few guys that look great doing bodyweight only and ever, I'm starting to think there's a reason like 99% of fitness discussions on the internet are about weightlifting.
Every week I increase the weight (+2.5kg) for at least bench and squat (i.e. at some point each week, I make it to 3x8 with the target weight and up it the next session), while other exercises like single arm row and shoulder press are much slower to go up in strength. I think this was explained to me that you can make faster progress with compound exercises (that use multiple muscles) over isolation work (that only use one area of muscle), but I might have misheard. So that's the on-paper gains part
In terms of visual gains, I think it's easiest to just take pictures. I looked at a picture taken only 2 months ago and could see a difference. It's all about being persistent, putting in 100% when you're doing the exercises and recording your progress so that you don't become jaded and think you're getting nowhere. Having people around that know you can be a valid test as well, I've had one person that I haven't seen in a few months comment on my face gains, specifically my jawline, but friends will often comment on how much better you look if you've made significant progress. Also just asking for help, I always make sure i'm doing exercises correctly, you might want to ask someone to go over side plank with you again? It's obviously not that complex of an exercise, but there might be a few tricks to make it more effective or even a different exercise you could do to push past the stall
[editline]25th August 2015[/editline]
I started out slightly overweight so I think most of my gains are hidden behind muh folds. I'm cutting as well which means I'm just trying to conserve my muscle mass rather than increase, but I'm still gaining a little mass along with strength. I'd assume that starting lean rather than fat is the ideal, though someone might be fat due to their body's responsiveness to what they've eaten and a faster metabolism - i.e. eating to lose fat/gain muscle might have more of an effect on them than someone who has become thin without mindful effort

no xplodes pretty good. im on c4 icy blue razz atm
So after 2 years of nothing I've hopped back on the gains train. Unfortunately, forgot my original routine. Back/bi yesterday was:
Deadlift 3x5
Lat pulldown 3x10
DB Rows 3x10
Cable curls 3x15
Hammer curls 3x15
Went a little easier to work myself back into things. Is that a decent enough back/bi routine?
I'd add cable rows or straight arm cable pullovers to failure to burn the lats out, I do pullovers at the start (after my deads) to pre-exhaust the lats a bit and it helps me feel them way better during the other rows/pulldowns, decent pump, great size gains as well, lats used to lag far behind, now they're one of my strongest muscles
my pull day 1 for reference
pullups 1xmax reps bw, 3x8weighted
sumo dl 4x5
cable pullover 4x10
bb row 4x6-8
lat pulldown 4x8-10
seated cable row 4x8-12 to failure
ezbar preacher curl 4x8-12
bayesian cable curl 4x12-15 to failure
pull day 2 has no dl and no max pullups, db rows instead of bb and added face pulls
[editline]26th August 2015[/editline]
mind you this isn't something you do on your first day lol, add things gradually
if only I could split/push jerk as much as I could clean.
Decided to switch from Creatine Nitrate to Mono. Wonder what the result will be in a few weeks. I like using my body as a guinea pig.

So that means that furiously masturbating can make your dick bigger? :speedfap:

I ordered Blue Raz flavour, but I got fruit punch in the mail for some reason. NO RAGRETZ cos it tastes sweet, sour and dank. I'd drink it all the time if I wouldn't die.
So that means that furiously masturbating can make your dick bigger? :speedfap:
The catch is you need to maintain 3/4 erection during it. So you start rubbing your dick on a semi. But then guess what happens?

Getting banned for meme replies are dumb, if you do it all the time, ya sure, but once in a while? Who cares, also who does sprints before squatting? I tried it and I felt like I was more explosive pushing up from the bottom of my squat.
