Why the fuck does everybody squat high, I mean I think I've seen (besides powerlifters) about 3 people do below parallel for the majority of their workout, I've even seen some people do serious lockout training with like 5 inches of movement
if you squat past parallel it stretches your muscle out too far and makes it go all saggy, losing your strength

if u run 50 feet after lifting u lose 2 pounds of muscle.
"I WANT TO ISOLATE ON THEM QUAAADS."

At our gym, I've only seen one guy squat properly. Most of the people in the weights area don't even squat. Also a surprising amount of roid abusers, saggy tits really gross me out.
What the fuck
Tried a smaller grip on overhead press and 70kg felt easy as shit now

form is number one in lifting.
I've just been told a huge number of times to use a wide grip
I'll try a smaller grip on bench too and see

I use a wide grip (wider than shoulders) but it depends doesn't it? Narrow grip = chest/tris, wide grip = chest/shoulders?
Thinking about it I may be going too wide, might be due to my levers. I'm definitely not gripping 'just' outside shoulders, might be putting unnecessary strain on my elbows
wide as hell grip = good night sweet rotator cuff
I need some help. I'm 18 years old and I have a decent squat number for my age (325lbs max) but I can't overcome a vicious plateau I've had on bench for a long time. I can barely manage to bang out 135x8 for 3 sets, it's kind of embarrassing. [sp]plus my ass is becoming bigger than it should be compared to my chest and I think I look weird because of it.[/sp] Anyone have any tips on how to break through it, any auxiliary movements I could do?

I'm 18 and haven't reached 135lbs yet. I just slap on the 10kgs and go to town, give a fuck what people think. Everyone is too busy on their own gains to give a shit what you do on the bench. Don't be embarrassed

I'm embarrassed because I'm not achieving my goals, I'm (seemingly) doing everything right, and I feel like a fool because I don't know why I'm not getting what I need to get. That's why I want to hear about some auxiliary lifts I can do to strengthen my bench and break the plateau.

could try cutting your rep count down to 5 for steadier strength gains. personally i started seeing much steadier gains when i cut my incline bench down from 3x8 to 3x5, as i was stuck on 135 3x8 too for a while until i switched.
also make sure your form is good, this is something that held me back for a little bit too.

So do 145x5 and focus on form? Okay. I'll try that. I already alternate between incline and flat bench, and I've tried mixing in dumbbell bench presses as well, but those didn't increase my numbers. Maybe that will. Thank you.
I've been trying to lose weight. Any tips? I've been hitting the gym going through circuits and such, I think that should be a good start.

Diet is the first goal, exercise should come along with it but diet is the most important
bought an ab wheel yesterday and cranked out like 7 sets of 10 to test it out at varying lengths
fuck i am sore today

You will need to burn more calories than you consume to lose fat.
Building muscle mass will help you burn more calories in your day-to-day.
Doing cardio will help you burn calories.
What do you eat?
Mostly whatever my mum cooks or whatever is around.
Maybe I should start jogging more; I'm trying to be a bit more frugal, so I'll try to see if I can find cheap, healthy food.

Just cut back a little from what you typically eat and drink much more water than what you usually drink.
any you cunts ever worked security? thinking about switching from a barman in a nightclub to security instead.
Security jobs are extremely boring, I would honestly just get high on the job all day if I was a security guard.
Bleach is probably right..
- You deal with drunkies and druggies
- You have to deal with angry people
- You have to deal with sneaky people
- You need to deal with tits who want free entry
- Stand all night
- You need to search people for drugs
- Listen to some shit cocaine frenzied boss

That is if you are security guy at parties

Up the volume, bench 5x5 once- twice a week, eat more, your bench will go up

working in a nightclub i deal with that shit daily. i'd actually rather be insured to deal with it rather than having to do something out of the view of the cameras
Any of you deal with stretch marks on your biceps/edging into your chest? I'm pale as fuck so they're not super noticeable but they're there, don't really care much but it'd be cool to not have them if I could.
Wear them with honour; proof of your gains
