I swear something was fucking wrong with me last week, like I was mentally sick. I got my first good lift in 3 weeks yesterday and its like I lost no size, the drive to wreck my shit was there and it actually felt like I had some balls clanging between my legs.

overtraining
Even though a lot of people say overtraining isn't real
I actually got hit with some real deal overtraining shit last night. After hitting a 309 clean, which I really had to pump myself up for, I couldn't sleep for more than an hour at a time last night.
Pretty fucked up, thats the last time I go above 90 percent in a normal situation in the gym. Gotta actually train and not fry myself.

Paused is a whole different beast, I can 3*3 155kg but paused I have to drop it down to 120 or 125
Go in with caution unless you absolutely smoked your 5*5

But isn't pausing part of all excercises? Like go down and count like 3 seconds?
Squats no, you just have to dip below paralol according to ipf rules. I mean pausing might be better for you (muscle growth wise) due to time under tension and all that but you won't lift as much weight.

on accessory lifts feel free to pause as much as you want, but on the big 3 compounds pausing each of them should only really be seen as an accessory to the lift itself
Only real exception would be bench if you want to compete as a powerlifter
I'll be dropping back weight to practice paused. I gave myself two weeks doing paused before going back to regular squats. This time I'll do more paused, it does help improve form. At least that's what I think.
pausing doesn't do much for me anymore
as in, the difference in weight lifted isn't that large
