Started doing deads and squats early this year I think
Started doing deads and squats early this year I think
dat genetix
having a high ape index really helps when deadlifting
a lot

Respect, if it was a clean 180, 200 should really be around the corner, might be able to get it before christmas really. What's your bodyweight and best on the big 3?

I weigh around 80kg right now, bulked up from 75
Deadlift is really the only lift my body likes
I got a huge strain/sprain/pull (not sure what it's called) in my inner thigh at work so doing squats really fucks me up
back squats are slowly but surely becoming my top lift
Today I heard my knees pop a few times while squatting, is that a bad sign or no big deal?
Today I heard my knees pop a few times while squatting, is that a bad sign or no big deal?
Provided there's no pain and you're using proper form, it's fine.
My knees and rest of the body pop and I feel fine. As Lukeo say, no pain and it's fine

It probably won't ever beat my deadlift weight but goddamn I love squatting so much

nice, haven't tested my max but I should be sitting at 200 as well at 85 kg, started focusing on powerlifting somewhere from Jan to March this year but have been training for 2 or so. Do you sumo or conventional?
Also that sucks hard, squats are beautiful for basically everything fitness related. Is it permanent or just like a temporary injury

I do conventional. My legs aren't strong enough for sumo I think, and you?
I managed to pull some squats off today, I still feel weak in them tho
Worked my way up to 100kgx10 then got a bad cramp behind my thigh
um
you're supposed to use your legs during conventional too
um

Yes I know
I tried to lift the same amount of weight but i just felt that I was weaker with sumo

I don't feel like I've worked out if I haven't squatted
so taxing on your body
I don't feel like I've worked out if I haven't squatted

Pretty much the only exercise that leaves me out of breath.
I can do 2 compounds at my max without trouble, but squats always wreck my shit. Did 1x5 reps of 75kg today which was nice (previous best was 65kgx3 2 weeks ago) but it wrecked my shit and I was too burnt out to do any more quad work.

Can barely pull 3pl8 conventional but am repping 4.25 on sumo, so my body is definitely built for sumo. Squats go up quick initially once you start working on them, went from 120 to 150 pretty easily

Hard deadlifts do the same to me, though squats seem to make me more out of breath though
I said fuck it the other day and joined a 24 hour gym, meeting with a trainer there tomorrow to get a more in-depth tour of how all the machines work as opposed to just a walk around. It's mostly machines in the largest section, but there's a free weight area with a few power racks as well, so I'm intending to start with stronglifts 5x5, just to have a set program.
broke my ring and pinky fingers yesderday, cant do any pulls, how 2 train lats/do oly?
injured side of calf (I don't even)
damaged left shoulder
muscle strain in the upper right back
is it time to take a break? :disappoint:
how do you guys injure yourselves damn
the worst ive had was a mild case of tendonitis and it wasnt even because of lifting lel
the worst part is that I don't know
one day I just wake up with some horrible pain and that's it
nothing goes snap during workouts or hurts after them

you don't lift heavy/hard/frequently enough.
I train in the morning for an hour and a half, run and do jumps and core work for about an hour and throw heavy balls for an hour and then do pure olympic lifts for an a hour and a half, all about 5x a week.
[editline]7th October 2015[/editline]
also hit two singles at 308 on cleans after HIGH VOLUME back squats and 6x6 on 205lb powercleans("collegiate weight program") among other lower body shit in the morning, and running and throwing
Can someone help me comprehend why my piss is always fucking yellow. And before people suggest 'you're not drinking enough', I drank a fucking litre of water over an hour and when I had to piss afterwards it was still yellow. I easily get more than two litres per day, do I need to drink like ten??
And no it wasn't brown as what happens when your muscles break down or whatever it is. Just fucking yellow.

Do you take any supps with riboflavin (also called vitamin B2) in them? Might want to check.

Nah no supplements. The only thing I take in extraordinary doses is four cups of coffee per day. Should I or shouldn't I be taking vitamin B2?

This amount of activity seems only possible (to me) when you're jobless and live with your parents.
