Melatonin is pretty dope. Not trying to get dependent on it, but def using it to correct my sleep cycle and get used to going asleep before 11pm. Had some hot volleyball player girls over too, that was pretty dope. 12+ days without drinking, nearing 3 weeks without toking up. Trying not to drink until I turn 21 in a month.
classes cancelled woot

I did post about my weight loss exactly a week ago as well, but I just have to make another post about my progress since I'm finally seeing the change I've been waiting for, it's so visible now. I'm now 85.6kg (188.7lbs) which is exactly 1kg loss since last week, that's nice to see. now, the fun part that was today... I went to take a shower but noticed that all of the tshirts I usually wear were dirty so I had to pick something old which I've always refrained from using since they sit a lot more tight and shape themselves more against the body. I'm not an interesting person so what I've usually worn is a black halfway stretch / sorta baggie tshirt. I have hundreds of that same tshirt since it has been a safe choice and I haven't been able to find any other in the same material. shapes after the body, but doesn't shape enough to really go with the body at the same time. these shirts have gotten fairly baggie now so I figured, I have lost a lot of weight, maybe I should take that risk and wear one of my old black tshirts which sits a lot more tight? I also grabbed one of my smaller sweatpants since I wanted to try clothes that fit more snugly. so I take the shower and before I put the clothes on I thought that it might be a good idea to study myself some in the mirror, not just look at my stomach like I've always done. I had never checked out the rest of my body prior to this and I'm so surprised! my butt and legs for example, wow! they're so much more defined! everything is more defined! I do notice that the fat seems to prioritize my stomach since I've actually not seen that much change there, but everywhere else? why haven't I checked those areas sooner? this is where the progress really shines. then I put my clothes on and god damn, I looked 100x times better. now that there is so little fat compared to before the shirt wasn't highlighting my fat anymore, it just fit against my body making me look a lot slimmer than what my other shirts do as they've gone baggie now. I feel more confident buying clothes that actually fit now rather than clothes that are big to hide my body today is a day where I can look at myself in the mirror and think, "god damn I'm actually sorta handsome". I can't wait until the last 5kg go off, the future is bright
keep it up :)
yo faggots I just got around to doing my PRs again and my thighs still hurt a week after my squats. Did I fuck something up? This recovery time is bs
My hammys were sore for a good 4-5 days last week after I did an intense workout including straightleg deadlifts/RDLs, squats, and glute/hamstring raises. Hadn't done RDLs for a while, so all the more I was crazy tender and really felt it. [editline]25th January 2016[/editline] I hate weeks when I'm sure I'll only get 1-2 lifting sessions in, and ones that aren't full sessions either....
Cheers man. They still kill a tiny bit today but I think I got over most it now. I think it was cuz my brosplit means I actually do DL and then squats on consecutive days.
150 for 3 sets of 5 today on squats, apparently the new bar might weigh 25 kg though so it could be 155 but not going to claim that. Really happy with that as I've never been good with a decent amount of reps, feel like I might be working up to 180 for working sets soon
im watching pumping iron for the first time and by god it's glorious. mike katz is my hero
over my sickness, felt fucking great today. Continuing bulk after temporary delay
Alright 110 bench, first bench gains in around a year and a half
Alright 110 bench, first bench gains in around a year and a half
Can't remember but you changed something in your program didn't you? Care to share it because my bench has been fucking useless for a while now
Weighted dips > bench imo, feel like the ROM is better and the pump is insane, I usually do bench afterward tho.
dips have to be my favorite exercise
went to workout with my roomate, noticed he had no idea what he was doing in regards to lifting and wrote him a plan. feelsgoodman. also hit 315 for 4 sets of 3 on front squats, cool beans.
Can't remember but you changed something in your program didn't you? Care to share it because my bench has been fucking useless for a while now
There was some stuff I tried doing differently like focusing solely on flat bench and doing high-ish volume 4x6,5x5,6x4 on bench day but what I think got it up most was going heavy with the overhead work, push presses/ohp/jerks etc every week. They hit the triceps like nothing else. The sticking point on my bench now is about 1/3 through the range of motion, not sure how to tackle this other than doing paused bench.

[editline]28th January 2016[/editline] Also squats tomorrow are going to be absolute hell, going to attempt 10 sets of 10 on 100 kg after my main heavy working sets
Definitely gonna get banned in a few hours, but in the meantime just stopping in to say coding is a fucking bitch, lifting is pretty tight, and you guys are pretty cool
Why would you get banned? Also seeing if squatting 4 times a week is fine, currently doing: Heavy/85-90% on monday, body weight/light dumbbell assistance wednesday, high rep/45% of 1rm friday.
Been there, done that, wouldn't recommend it. My advice would be if you go through and do 4x a week don't do it for much longer than 6-8 weeks. That much squatting will burn you out eventually as a natty lifter, and will be very rough on your knees. Just add more volume on the days you already squat, that's basically what I've figured out over time. I used to squat between 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 times a week for probably 5 years. I called out rusty in the fashion thread thats why I thought I would get banned, I guess he's cool about it though, pretty neat.
Send help, I tried to do 100 sets, 10 reps each on 100 kg squats Only got to 52 sets as I realized I didn't have enough time and would have to do a set every like 3-4 minutes for 3 hours because the gym closes at 8 Pissed I didn't finish but goddamn is this the hardest thing I've ever done physically
That's still impressive as fuck to me

Same thing I guess tho'
