is it actually possible to look fatter towards the night compared to when you woke up? I always feel I'm at my best when I wake up, but if I check myself before bed for example there'll be a very noticeable difference. I'll look gigantic and fat compared to the mornings. is this all in my head? I can't imagine legit gaining that much fat in a single day but I suppose the amount of water in your body, and maybe even how full your stomach is, might affect how you look?

yeah, all that food disgestion during the day + water retention. it's normal and i wouldn't worry about it
Looking like a greek god when you wake up.
Bodybuilders also limit their intake of water to get a more defined look on competition days.
you guys know anything about dmso?
nvm this shit sounds incredibly dangerous unless you're a horse

Just don't mention his hairloss.
Does anyone do any conditioning training aside from running? Thinking about giving sandbag training a go at some point.
Why don't you just pickup weights
Well, I've been training for a solid few months to get rid of my overweight problems. I was weighing 252 pounds at 5"8, which was... a rather big problem to be honest. Took me about 4 months to lose 30 pounds, now I'm standing at around 220, which is pretty damn great.
Don't know why it took me that long. Eating well and going to the gym ain't that hard when you make time for it. Doing Cardio training this month, hoping to break the 200 bars, but might be far-fetched. Who knows!
Keep at it man! Nice work!

I skip rope because it's pretty low impact if you do it properly and it's great for coordination and bone density. It takes some time to get up to speed and learn the proper technique though and you have to be careful if you haven't jumped in a long time.
I've never done sandbag training myself but if you are going to do it make sure you're warmed up and start slow, there are a lot of jerky movements in akward positions that can easily fuck up your joints.
i really like the elliptical for cardio, gives my joints a rest, feels almost as easy on them as swimming

also it's really easy to keep my HR up in the 140s-150s on it for a decent period of time without dying

I prefer running, it feels like I'm improving everytime, on speed or incline. I generally hit the 150-160s.
I like running too, but it doesn't go very easy on knee and hip joints which already give me a bit of trouble here and there, so I don't do too much of it, although I like how scale-able it is in terms of doing both HIIT and LISS/MISS, so I mostly do like 15 min of running intervals and then 20min on the elliptical
also update on lateral raises causing tendon pain - i tried doing them in the cable with the rope attachment, and holding them in a hammery kinda way (thumb up) which resulted in no pain and felt great in lateral delts. sure, this grip does load the front delts a bit, but I don't really mind since they're lagging anyway
Jump rope (both for warming up and focusing on cardio), rowing, hitting my punching bag, and when the weather is nice, cycling. Tend to only ever do a cardio day 1-2 days, maybe every other week. I tend to do yoga more often than cardio if it's not a lifting day. Some of those HIIT yoga routines definitely hit you good, surprisingly.
just wanted to say ive been posting here since i was like fifteen years old back in 2010 when i first started highschool, yall are some cool peeps and honestly this place has been real. good luck in your future endeavors

How have your lifts progressed since then? It'd be cool to see a now and then.
Well I didn't expect my weight to be what it is. Got weighed yesterday turns out I'm 167 pounds yet I don't look like I'm that heavy. Yay muscles.
I think I might have plateaued on my weight loss journey. is my fat really just more stubborn or am I messing something up here? I recently discovered that eating 1750cals a day will no longer lose me as much as it initially did. I recently readjusted it to 1580cals which MFP kinda did for me. shitty that it didn't automatically adjust the calorie intake along with my weight but at least it's right now.
I find it hard to believe that the fat literally gets more stubborn. it has to be me messing something up or eating more than I believe.

If you get more muscle mass then your metabolic rate will go up making it so you can eat more calories without gaining weight. Just cutting down in your caloric intake usually isn't enough for most people to get weight off and keep it off. The most successful people I have seen lose weight are guys who try to get stronger in the gym so they can still satisfy their cravings for more food. Basically don't deny your body it's urges to eat; make your body burn what you body desires to eat by changing your body comp. It can be incredibly hard depending on your current body comp though, the bigger you are and the higher percentage of bodyfat you have the harder in a lot of cases it is to get into lifting due to the higher stress it puts on your cardiovascular system as well as making certain workouts near impossible to do depending on your mobility. If I had some more information on where you are currently at I think I could give better advice though. Good luck, and keep at it! Consistency is key.
210 deadlift and 115 bench, turns out my bench wasn't stalling too bad after all. On a cut too and am currently at 90 kg. Was gonna go for a 190 squat but 180 felt a bit too heavy, current lifts puts my total just a bit above 500 which im happy with
Finally got onto a routine.
Working out with a fellow classmate who also worked as a personal trainer and a nutritionist.
Enjoy having someone coach form and help push you.

Our bench's are still pretty close but your squat and deadlift are way ahead, fair play
im so used to people using pounds on forums that people using kilograms without specifying fucks me up
Anyone have experience with ON's Whey flavors?
The place I stop at, that has some crazy discounts now and then, stocks pretty much every flavor ON offers, but I'm afraid of getting a tub that sucks and then being stuck hating it. All I've ever tried is vanilla (which is ok), double chocolate (which is pretty good), and cookies and cream (which was really disappointing and refused to mix nicely.)
chocolate mint is meh
got it delivered instead of double choc accidentally and it's still chocolatey but the mint doesn't really add anything imo
