how do i know if i'm eating right? usually i get a turkey sandwich from Panera and a 32g protein bar after i workout, and then do light eating the rest of the day. i feel full but i'm wondering if i'm losing mass i could've otherwise gained if i ate more.
Count calories or just start eating more if you don't want to count. As long as you're working out and keeping it healthy you should be good.
What about your natural testosterone production after a blast/cruise vs a traditional cycle? Basically if you blast and cruise are on the roid train for life?
steroid community is really fucking retarded when it comes to PCT
I have no doubt 95% of guys can recover fully if they give it time, but guys do stupid shit like come off the gear, take a few weeks of SERMs (its very debatable if they have any benefit in PCT at all, personally, I think no) and then go for a blood test and are surprised to find their testosterone is low.
The thing is, there is ample literature on treating Anabolic Steroid Induced Hypogonadism (the "clinical" term for MUH POST CYCLE) and all the successful recoveries (including guys who have been abusing for yeaaaars) involves 1. heavy and long doses of HCG 2. time
time is the one thing ADHD millenials can't handle. So they do 4 weeks of drugs and then are surprised their testosterone isnt in the upper percentile, and hop straight back on or convince themselves they need TRT for life. Its fucking stupid.
Guarantee if these guys used hcg, and then gave it some actual time, their hormone levels would be fantastic.
squatting 100 tomorrow! and hopefully deadlifting 155. the best thing about stronglifts is that i started so low on each of those and it seems like no time has past and now i'm getting up there! (in proportion to my bodyweight, at least)
time is the one thing ADHD millenials can't handle
What? Anyone with ADHD most likely wouldn't be doing that, let alone be able to keep at the gym for more than a month.

Nice stereotype you got there
EDIT: I got my motivation to really start again now when you said that. Gonna prove you wrong on the second part. Well actually I already have but I stopped so I kinda did not.

A unit of measurement would be helpful to my understanding of this post.
that is for sure kilogramms
or infact pounds
A unit of measurement would be helpful to my understanding of this post.
pounds, sorry. slips my mind this is an international forum from time to time, even though I've been here going on 9 years
Lel some guy managed to park his bike on the sidewalk in front of the gym. Walked up to him and laughed while saying "Nice parking spot!". Bet I could do the same with my little itty bitty Miata :v:.
This is an interesting view of Milko Tokola. It's surprising how calm he comes off and just everything about his demeanor seems the opposite of him in his usual training videos:

Also, any of you have by the off chance utilized a shoe cobbler to add heel to your weightlifting shoe?
Damn, was out for dinner and came home at 21:30, gym closed at 22:30 so I rushed to the gym lol. Guy at the desk was like "we're closing in 30 minutes" so I said "yea I know" :v:
Wasn't the most pleasant work-out, had to take 60 sec breaks instead of 90 secs between sets. But I helped him re-rack some weights that assholes left out in rests, so I suppose he was ok with letting me stay a couple minutes after (supposed) closing.
[editline]1st April 2016[/editline]
But the main point is that I just went out and did it anyways. Even when I had to rush, a race against closing times, I went to the gym anyways. That's more than I would've usually expected from myself. It's too easy to blow off, especially when you have a semi-legit excuse. But thanks to 'bartering' with the owner I was able to finish my work-out.

No a stereotype is what dilzinyomouth said, I'm talking from experience. Before I got on meds getting to the exercise was pretty damn hard. Some people with ADHD can barely remember to take meds and miss doses, so I'm not quite sure how they would do it. If they're on meds or have a gym partner then chances are they will.
Fuck yeah got a workout at work, now if only my IBS wasn't acting up so I could eat.
Started reading practical programming, shits good
Comp tomorrow, wish me luck. Opening on a 160 squat, 90 bench and 180 deadlift, should be reasonable numbers to start
Had surgery last week, and haven't been able to keep any food down for 5 days. I've lost 13 pounds of mostly muscle in this time period. RIP my progress.
Epilepsy meds fucking suck, I'm getting tired a lot quicker while lifting/sprinting, too bad Missouri doesn't have marijuana legalized, heard that cannabis oil is incredibly good for preventing seizures and of course virtually no side effects. I'm starting to get random bad nose bleeds and feel mentally slow taking keppra now.

I've heard that the effects of Keppra "even out" over time and become less noticeable and less invasive over time. Hopefully this is the case. Do you have TLE?

Idk apparently some of the side effects im getting are very uncommon, hope it does even out. TLE?

I had the same sorta situation today. I was taking a short nap on the couch, my alarm went off at 9:30 and the gym closed at 11, and let me tell you I was pretty fuckin comfy.
Then the quote my dad drilled into my head came up: "if I waited until I felt like doing something, nothing would ever get done"
So I cruzed on over and actually had a decent workout! It wasnt the best, either because I was tired or still processing food, but I didnt get where I am only lifting when ideal conditions are met
[editline]2nd April 2016[/editline]
On the same note, but unrelated, I'm gonna toss out some new workout music!
Until Fuckhuge Megaboss signs up at the last minute and can bench 3x his bodyweight.
Are you a wizard because this is pretty much exactly what happened :c
Got a decent total of 485 kg (105 bench, 200 deadlift, 180 squat) on some down right shitty equipment (deadlift bar was bent pretty heavily, some weights were weighed in heavier and unfortunately due to my grip on bench I had to put the middle of my hand on the smooth rings, so it slipped a bit the first 2 lifts), I'm okay with that tho. However, this other guy who's been competing for say around 2 years or so beat me on every lift.
Salt mine discovered below:
My weight and age class was the ONLY one in the entire competition to have 2 competitors in it, everyone else was alone in theirs; he didn't hit depth (this isn't just me being salty although I am still, I only noticed it when two other lifters told me to come check, and the judges aren't qualified in any way. Plus he used wraps but no judgement for that cause it's legal) and this is the second time I've been told by people that i'm either the only one competing or ill crush the competition and another guy has shown up who's stronger than me. Not exactly pissed with anyone just frustrated due to the fact I got told by 2 people this time who know the main organizer I'm gonna come first because I'll be the only one competing etc and they were wrong
At least I got my first one under my belt though, plus squats went well and that's my fav lift
[editline]2nd April 2016[/editline]
To put it into perspective if I weighed in at over 100, any weight over that, I would've come first :v: qualified for nationals though regardless

Temporal lobe epilepsy
Temporal lobe epilepsy
I believe so, I'm going to see a doc that specializes specifically in epilepsy, has a lot of experience, ect, all that and see what options I have, if surgery is viable I'd go for it.
damn, i missed my goal.
I tried to get 2pl8 on my incline bench today and couldn't.
So I've officially been seriously lifting for 1 year this week.
went from 160lb to 170 and back down to 164(now)
took my OHP from 110x3 to 170x1
bench from 135 to ???, my incline is at 220 so who knows.
my power clean is at 185x3 last i did it(4 months ago :v:)
I can't be upset with my progress I suppose:

at least your dick isn't green anymore
Finished the 1st week of Stronglift 5x5 ✓

time to bulk up
Have to take some time off and maybe add some cardio into my routine - got my third and worst so far headache from lifting. Made sure I was breathing properly, had a neutral neck and hydrated after the last two. Exploded right after my first bench set, had to just leave the gym because the noise was too much. Sat in my car until it became manageable to drive home. Internet suggests exertion headaches but booked a doctors appointment for friday just in case. Anyone had anything like this? shit blows
I'm really feeling like I should just slow bulk again, I don't really see the worth in getting lean for the summer. I think my goals in lifting have always been to get strong and empower myself as a person and get some self worth in me, anyways it seems pointless to cut down any lower than I am right now (16-17% BF) only 6 months in because I won't have any musculature anyway. What do you guys think I should do?

Have high blood pressure or something? I have had headaches from having too much intensity in a workout. Rest between sets helps.

I'd rather weigh less during the summer, as it might help me take stay less sweaty. But if you're lean you probably don't need to worry about it. Just meet your caloric target and do more cardio. A recent study suggests you'll see better progress (hypertrophy/strength) by doing some cardio as well.
Input/output of calories and your weight will fluctuate accordingly. If you're getting enough protein you won't lose a significant amount of muscle mass, even with a caloric deficit. Cardio will improve your general health and your outlook on life once you're consistent.
I think I recall seeing that study, is there more like that? I'm a bit skepitcal, did the cardio only help involved muscles? (Quads?) Is this only worthwhile for untrained guys? Is there one with actual athletes who've been lifting already? Is HIIT better or just long distance cardio? If this does work how much cardio do you need to do? Is there longer studies?
It effects muscle synthesis overall, and there's been other studies like this one. You should be running regardless. The heart is the most important grouping of muscle you have. Just run a couple miles every few days. You'll live longer, be less likely to get cancer, have better mental health retention with age, etc.
HIIT has its uses, fat loss is one of the main ones.
