you should care about cholesterol though
i'm 21 and reasonably lean and when i got my blood test last year i was told i had high cholesterol. i must've had too much cheese and whole eggs that month lol. (i barely eat cheese but damn i was hooked on blue cheese for like 3 weeks)
point is it's pretty easy to get a high cholesterol if you're not paying attention. doesn't matter how old you are.
yea you're probably right, honestly i dont even know what cholesterol is heh heh heh
I'm a bit of trouble bouncing back after a set. Today I just couldn't catch my breath even though it was normal Monday routine. I also started feeling light-headed toward the end.
Can lack of sleep cause this?
Thats what I had with my buddy, almost as if we couldnt physically suck in enough air and no matter what couldnt get amped up. Had plenty of rest and plenty of food so it didnt make any sense. The only three things that I could think of are irregular lifting times (came earlier than usual), eating too much food too soon before the gym (draws energy from your muscles to your stomach), or just not having a good day period (no energy).
Eggs are great but as far as hitting caloric goals on them goes they just dont cut it. I still eat them because I like them. If your really looking to add calories to your day try natural peanut butter on whole wheat bread, milk, or coconut oil.
I think the cholesterol in eggs is some form of good cholesterol and it doesnt really matter how much you eat. I never got a straight answer off google so I'd google it yourself and come to your own conclusions.
The concern with egg yolks is the cholesterol if I'm not mistaken. I usually have 2-3 whole eggs and a mess of egg whites with it, in addition to some complex carbs in my oatmeal. I don't think I eat enough for breakfast honestly but after waking up and not being hungry, all I can manage is some eggs, oatmeal, and toast with pb. Milk is a great way to stretch out your calories in the morning especially.
fear not
i love bulking
my strength has been increasing so much since i started bulking properly. feels good after almost an entire year of barely moving up in back exercises. i need to start deadlifting regularly again too, aiming for 6 reps of 180kg by the end of my bulk.
you started counting nigga?
Can anyone suggest an iPhone app to record all my weights and shit
Most of them seem to just be super complex when all I want to do is
choose the exercise
write what i lifted with amount of reps
date it
be able to look at my previous one easily

not so much nutella-y but more crunchy peanut (almond) butter with a soft consistency
it's not that sweet either which is good because sugar is for nerds. it just really owns in protein shakes.

my boy
I should really bulk for real since being tall as fuck doesn't help with aesthetic gains, but I'm scared of fucking it up and just getting fat.
Since I started a decent weight training plan about 8 months ago I've put on a very visible amount of muscle compared to old me (used to be a 6'7" skeleton) and it's greatly improved my confidence having a body people compliment on and helped get hot guys who were out of my league before, people generally being into tall guys helps too.
What I'm worried about is if I eat more I'd end up just looking chubby and unappealing, being so tall won't help.
eat proteins, and in general healthy and comples carbs and you wont get fat lol
I still honestly haven't found an app that replaces the good ole notebook and pen. I've been lazy and haven't recorded any of my stats lately but that's changing with this new plan. I guess there's not much point since the 5/3/1 has a preset workout plan anyway but it's nice for just knowing.

I dunno if a lot of people do but I have used it for the past two years and am still using it. Once you have enough data entered you'll be able to see charts displaying your progress and it's really valuable in my opinion.
It lets you see the periods of time where you increased the most and where you plateau'd and whatnot.

I'll start using it tonight anyway. Heading to the gym after work and gonna work on my shoulders probably and do a bit of boxing with my PT
My knees are totally fucked. Had to skip leg day because I knew it would make it worse. Doesn't help my new job involves me on my feet for 5 hours straight running through a kitchen the whole time (soon to be 7 hours when I get out of newbie phase).
Anything I can do to make the knee joint pain go away? I'm legit afraid of doing leg day when I work in these conditions and my knees now hurting all the time.

Dietary cholesterol is hardly a concern at all. You get almost all of your blood cholesterol from saturated/trans fat, not dietary cholesterol.

If you have plenty of protein (get close to 0.8-1G per lb of body weight) while also weight training with good volume, on top of not eating too much more calories than 400-500 over your maintenance calorie level, you shouldn't gain too much fat.
Fat gain is inevitable with muscle gain (which is why people bulk and cut in cycles) but if you bulk modestly then your muscle gains will show much more prominently than the comparatively minor fat gains.
Speaking of legs, my knee joints crackle when I do my legs, is that a bad sign? Doesn't hurt, but it feels weird like I'm over stressing them.

Same thing here, if I do squats, my knees pop when I get past a certain point everytime without fail.

Stretch more

as long as you continue to train and dont eat excessively high calories, you should be fine
since you're 6'7, you wont pack on muscle as quickly as a much shorter person. my 6 months training will look pretty damn different from your 6 months, assuming similar programs and relative diets(i'm 5'9)
i recommend just going for the bulk anyways -- having a little bit of bodyfat isnt a crime. i'm assuming you're a guy, but honestly dont worry about it. in my experience being a bit bulkfat(but not too much) to athletic is the ideal aesthetic point for most people
bought some peanut butter from aldi let's see what all this fuss is about

Yeah, bulking will increase muscle along with bodyfat percentage but I'm worried I'll go too far and hide my aesthetic gains under a layer of fat.
You can lose that fat pretty easy after your finished bulking
If you are gaining muscle you'll notice the muscle gains much more than fat gains
I.e. I have a decent layer of fat over my muscles but my actual muscles are what looks visible and defined. You look fat when your fat is significantly more than your muscle size. This will never happen if you are gaining muscle at the same time unless you have a ton of fat from dirty bulking (going crazy "no limits" on calorie consumption) or never cut over a long period of time. In both cases you get the lumberjack/strongman look going, and still never truely look fat.
