I feel like sin.

Boy I can tell that wasn't cheap protein
TBH high end protein is a waste of money IMO. You get the same result from just taking more medium-end protein that has a lot of servings and a decent amount of protein per serving.
(avoid low end buy-at-walmart style protein because you'll be buying jugs that say they have 50 servings on them but you need 4-5 servings to match protein content of better protein, and your body doesn't even absorb the lower quality, higher calorie protein as well as higher quality sources. it might seem cheaper at first buying a 2lb jug for $15-$20, but you need to buy so many jugs and make your shakes so thick that it ends up being about as expensive as high end protein to match protein content).

This
There's like a point over here where protein just gets exponentially expensive if you compare price to gram ratio. Up until 24 or 25 grams per 30 or 32 gram scoop you pay a couple bucks more from low quality to higher quality. When you start increasing from 25 up until 26-28 it gets so goddamn expensive. I get mine for about $45-50 and it's 24 grams per 32 gram scoop, while the "best" protein I've seen is that gold standard stuff.
$100 for a 2 kg tub
Been sick, presumably with a cold, since Thursday night/Friday. Have this lingering headache which doesn't fully go away even after Advil or other shit. I think I've improved though, as my nose feels less stuffed and I can breathe better, and the aches are basically gone. It's mainly this fucking headache.
ANNNNND fuck as I was typing I had to run to the toilet to puke. Could have been the Advil irritating my stomach as I didn't eat a whole lot, but I did feel iffy before taking it so IDK. Fuck.
Feel a bit better after that though. :v:
My back seems to be back to 100% (wee avoiding the doctor visits!)
Has anyone been to a Goodlife gym? It's all we have around here. I'm honestly too embarrassed to go as is, so work outs at home for now but it would be nice to be able to go to the gym eventually.
Also, the more I look into fitness the more frustrated I am by the fact that because I had the misfortune for being born female bodied any and all gains I manage to scrape out will be comparatively miniscule to what I could be getting otherwise, fuck biology man.
Don't ever get upset about something you can't control or change. Being a girl is nothing to get bummed about. Just cuz us dudes are stronger/leaner biologically doesn't mean it's impossible to look good or be strong.
And best of all, no matter what, you'll be keeping yourself healthy. It's very easy to forget that even when you miss a few reps, or go in planning to do one weight but know you can only do less, you're still getting a good workout in and benefiting from it. I'm pretty guilty of that, getting all caught up in other shit, forgetting I'm still doing good for myself and that I'm not a flabby sack of shit.
Another thing is I recommend you step out of your comfort zone and attend a gym. The fact is, female or not, there is always someone bigger and stronger, so being self-conscious about that works against you and helps kill off your motivation before you even really use it sort of speak. Workout for yourself and look at it as working to become a better, healthier, sexier you.

Well in my case it kind of is but that is a topic for another thread. True I can't do much about it so fussing won't really change anything for the time being.
Your right though I probably should kick the comfort zone and just go to the gym, but I have a hard time imagining what benefit I would get for that starting at a point where I can't lift my own weight let alone more than that :v:
yo monkey just make sure to eat more because sex is cardio
Pullup PR:
11 reps of strict form pullups with 80lbs attached to waist @ 200lbs BW for 5 sets, totaling 50-55 reps.
Soon I'll reach my goal of human flight via latissimus dorsis.

Like a 240 lb flying squirrel.
Would it make sense that if you have more muscle mass you would build muscle faster? Provided you are training effectively, breaking down your muscles consistantly, and eating adequately to support muscle growth of course.
An example would be two people working out. 6'0, 210 for the first, 6'0 190 for the second. They both work the same muscle, say biceps for ease of example, doing the same rep/set format, and equally tearing their biceps. Would the first guy grow faster given the larger muscle mass, or would the second because he hasnt gotten near his peak body size.
gentlemen, what say you to drama between men?
I live in a house of 5 girls and 5 guys; the groups have split into 4 (me and 3 girls), 3 (2 girls and 1 guy) and 3 guys who remain neutral.
This one guy in the other group keeps baiting me into physical contact (because I lift and could live a massive mark) and almost succeeded tonight. I am *this* close to securing the other guy's support; it sounds childish but should I 'eliminate' him through debate or careful use of force? We are in the right (as biased as I am); this drama spilled over from their house (2x5 houses) and was based upon some girl drama (e.g. 'she got together with a guy too loud'... 'x in the other house is mine' etc etc'). I'm sick of it but it was two girl perpetuating the drama. Came to a head today with this one guy who supports them videoing me and a girl in the other house in a relationship dancing together in the club.
What do?
I'm ignoring him for now but he properly disrespected me on the ride home. Called me all the names under the sun, said I was just annoyed I couldn't get together with girl I was dancing with.. etc etc. Whenever I addressed a point he just widened the goalposts. Advice bros? Ignoring the issue isn't an option; me and him have been at loggerheads for the past four months.
lmao
I had a friend going off his nut after a night out and doing that shit, and it had been happening time and time again, I told him to drop it, he didn't and shoved me, so I kicked him in the chest and then fed him fist until he went limp.
He never acted out again and he stopped trying to be a snarky cunt in front of other people. I still feel him sizing me up from time to time though LMAO.
Well if your on a clean bulk just eat clean whenever you get the slightest tinge of hunger, keep meal frequency first then work on portion size. Are you fairly lean? Do you have trouble puttimg on mass/fat or are you not fat but not skinny so what you eat gets added on as fat fast but is easy to lose back to before. Bread is fine, its a good source of a lot of different nutrients, for me eating too much bloats me so its nice to have other sources of carbohydrates such as bread, quinoa, rice, potatos, yams, that sorta thing.
The anger of not working out is great, I remember when i got mega depressed if I missed a workout, it got pretty serious actually! That was when I was focusing heavily on diet and cutting, it made missing a workout like a insult to all the work you've put in in the background to maintain your diet. For me now that im bulking im more loose with watching what I eat, but not enough to get mega fat, it makes going to the gym and being outside of the gym much more relaxing. There is steady gains, and you know you wont lose any if you miss because your fed enough and them some plus eating consistantly keeps energy levels up.
Still, I miss wanting to drive my car through the front door of the gym at 2am to get a lift in.
What kind of music do you guys start your workout with? Im partial to

I'm about as lean as a Nord male character model in Skyrim (unless if you have a texture mod). I'm skinnier than I want to be, but not quite as lean. My legs are still a bit thinner than I want them to be and, when naked, it looks like a shark took a bite out of both of my ass cheeks on the side. My goal is pretty much to be as lean as possible while building bigger arms, legs and back muscles. I have high testosterone and an ultra-fast metabolism (even if I have a metabolic/ITP disorder), so low fat percentages shouldn't be hard with the hardware that I have to start with.
Unfortunately, I'm largely stuck to bodyweight stuff because the only gym near my apartment is expensive as hell. I'm currently trying to figure out what male gymnasts do because they have similar physiques to what I'm trying to accomplish. I also have joint problems on my mom's side of the family, so it might be to my advantage to use bodyweight routines where possible.
Also, I used to listen to the Mortal Kombat theme when I used to do cardio.
-snip, wrong music-
What exactly did someone just gaybrow? Or were you legitimately calling me optimistic.
What do body measurement scales (or whatever system you use) give as you guys' muscle%? I know they're not realiable at all, but I'm still intrigued to see how high they go for you people.
I wish my lats were faurking huge, I'm struggling past 8 unweighted pullups at 200lbs
Officially started Stronglifts, got a nice gym with no contract, and starting to count my macros and see how things work out. :)

imo that's enough to start doing them weighted

If your naturally lean and have trouble getting fat then use it to your advantage! Just eat and eat and eat and eat! I've been seriously bulking since november and probably only put on 4 pounds of fat which is like a pound a month which is REALLY GOOD considering I've gone from 214-218 to 228-233.4 now.
Oh right, i hit 233.4 yesterday!!!!!!!!!! Felt MAMMOTH
Anyways, there will be days where you will feel fatter from eating a lot of just think you look/feel like shit but in reality its just a bad day. So long as your consistantly seeing progress that should be more than enough motivation to continue.
What are the prices for the gym near you? I only know the gym, not so much bodyweight.
fuck Valon whats in that water up in Canada? srs tho good work
Finally started doing squats at the gym, feel great
Me and my GF considered started getting protein shakes. Is there any good piece where I can read up about it, or can you guys give me some general advice? Is it really worth it?
Only supplement worth buying imo. As for what to get, forget about the premixed sugary variants like muscle milk and buy some tasty mid grade whey powder. I've been getting Gold Standard Chocolate but that's because there was a 5lb for $50 deal
So instead of eating tonnes of meat, you can have a protein shake, which basically provides your body with the protein it needs without having to eat lots of meat.
Protein shakes aren't some mythical elixir that'll get you hench as fuck, and there really isn't much "reading into" you have to do. Just research how much protein you should be hitting per day, and then hit those protein goals using protein shakes as a supplement to help you achieve that.
i wanna be hench as fuk
wat do?
How does one 'hench as fuk'?
I would like to be this way

I've never heard the phrase "hench as fuck" before now, but it made me laugh out loud so I think I'm going to start using it. Thank you based loopoo for sharing hench with me.
On the real though, just hit 315 lbs. squat, bodyweight 184. So hype right now
newbie here. how does one calculate a good carb/sodium intake?
My back squat pr somehow went up 40 pounds in the course of 1 and a half weeks. 255 to 290

90 per months and 190 for a starting fee.
Also, I've been looking into AthleanX. Is that a waste of money or does it have some value?
