[QUOTE=s5300;47403179]What's your guys's opinions on various forms of dips? Been running in to a lot of people lately telling me they're pointless and will just fuck up your shoulders, but I've always found them to be quite a good workout compliment.[/QUOTE] never had anything happen to me practice slow, controlled form and gains will come also, they're apparently really good for improving your OHP numbers once you start doing them with an extra ~100lbs
[QUOTE=NO ONE;47403610] You guys have experience dating crossfit/bodybuilding/etc. girls?[/QUOTE] yeah watch out for the gigantic clit
Can someone figure out what's wrong with my body? When I first started lifting, I figured you didnt need supplements like preworkout, amino energy, and protien, so I figured I'd try protien out for awhile, but I when i started to use it felt like it didn't do jack shit, I have this whey gold vanilla crap with about 25g of protien, now giving my body weight and size,: 5'11, possibly 120 or 115, I would need about 3 or 4 scoops of protien in my shake to equal my body weight in grams, But it just doesn't work for some reason, I've been on it before for about a week or 2 and haven't seen any sort've gainage, i also consume massive amounts of caffine and junk food all my life so I can't tell if that has any factor in it, so now I've just been lifting and eating chicken with milk. once I'm awhile I'll use amino energy if I'm feeling tired before I lift aswell. Opinions anyone?
uhh what gave you the idea that supplements of all things are some sort of magical shortcut to gains? lift heavy and eat ~500cals above maintenance, that's all there really is to it make a detailed meal plan and estimate your calories also pick up a good routine like SL 5x5
Whey protein isn't a drug. It doesn't make you suddenly able to break your personal records, or at all. It is simply a supplement to provide you with additional calories but most importantly extra protein if you are struggling to meet your protein requirements off of foods. If you are taking in your daily requirements of protein from just the protein shake alone, you are probably over-consuming protein given almost everything you eat will have protein in it, especially chicken. That shit is relatively protein dense. [editline]28th March 2015[/editline] Your gainage will come from a proper routine with progressive overload in the gym backed up by a solid diet where you put on 1kg per week at the most.
I genuinely do not understand this misconception associated with protein. My parents think it's some sort of drug that gets you super thick and steroid-y, loads of guys in uni think it'll magically make them massive. I dunno why people don't get that it's p much just a substitute for eating buckets of chicken or meat or w/e

jfc hahaha, nice leg workout, I should do 5 sets of 10 school walks a day. [editline]27th March 2015[/editline] stop buying supplements, you'd benefit more from educating yourself about working out bro just go on /fit/ and read the sticky. [editline]27th March 2015[/editline] if you're not doing squats, you're missing out. works lower body, as well as core and stabilizers. great all-round exercise even though it mainly targets legs. you're not gonna wake up one day and have super beefy legs, either, if that's what you're trying to avoid.
[QUOTE=Antdawg;47403332]Do pull-ups and dips separately? It's not rocket science. [editline]27th March 2015[/editline] Tbh most people who say they have 'high metabolism' probably only eat two meals per day. Just look in this thread in fast threads about what people have ate that day, and most of them skipped breakfast. They try to make up for it by having those two meals be huge ones but overall their calorie intake is at or below per day maintenance levels, and so they think 'hmm must be that high metabolism'. make an effort to have breakfast, a decent meal between lunch and dinner and another meal after dinner before you go to bed. Five meals right there. Liquid calories like protein shakes are good too especially if you dont feel like you could eat any more. Oh yeah, having a meal straight after a workout will help plenty and there you go, six meals. If you're trying to put on weight make sure you minimise unnecessary cardio activities. Eg don't go for a ten kilometre bike ride every day.[/QUOTE] Yeah.. I definitely don't eat enough, thanks for the advice man.
[QUOTE=Lord_Ragnarok;47402399]I have a slight six pack but no "V" above my crotch. Why is this? My guess is that its because I have big abdominals without having that low of a body fat percentage.[/QUOTE] How much do you engage your core doing big compound lifts? I've had the impression ab workouts work your inner core (abs) but not really the stuff that gets you a V. I've done hardly any ab work until just recently but I've had a prominent V for over 6mo now just from deadlifts alone [editline]27th March 2015[/editline] [QUOTE=TheJunction;47405863]Yeah.. I definitely don't eat enough, thanks for the advice man.[/QUOTE] Everyone I know who has trouble putting on weight were always the types of people who never valued meals and/or ate irregularly. Start valuing meals, to the point where having breakfast/lunch/dinnner every day is something you are looking forward to and knowing exactly what its going on. My roommate has a huge problem putting on weight. I'm willing to bet it almost entirely has to do with him never having full meals, just eating whenever. So now his body is conditioned to not really get hungry and then satisfied at certain points in the day, its always in some kind of neutral "bleh I could eat but that is effort" state. Breakfast/lunch/dinner. You need to make a STRONG effort at having all of your food at specific meal points during the day and get it so your body (and your mind!) actually value meal time. Thats the best way to divvy up the calories you need and actually eat a solid amount of food every day. Skipping meals is not something I've done in YEARS, i'd rather be late to whatever I have going on than to skip a meal. You need to get in the same mindset to really succeed. Just snacking whenever you get kinda sorta hungry at random times in the day is the route to failure. Its harder to keep track of, and you are likely missing out on key calories/nutrients you need to be healthy and gain weight.

As far as I can tell it was a lot worse in the past especially where bodybuilding sites were not common in the internet. The "miracle drug" idea sort of just stuck to those not knowledgeable in bodybuilding nutrition.
[QUOTE=dilzinyomouth;47404232]yeah watch out for the gigantic clit[/QUOTE] The bigger the better man. Makes it easier to hit the target (if she can't take direct clit stiumulation fuck her). My FWB has her's pierced, so it's always peeking out saying hi, waiting for me to destroy it with my tongue. It gets to the point where she almost looses control of her body and starts shaking a little because of how hard she cums.
^Gross never eat girls out crew never again

I thought they were suppose to be really beginner level???
Those are the old powerlifts with the thicker heel, I always see oly lifters wear them in the gym.
damn amazing stuff
I've never seen an oly lifter in our gym :(.

No shoes crew reppin ~ ;^)
I think starting in May I'm going to go on my first cut, to prepare for summer and all that jazz. I'm just curious -- considering I haven't cut before -- will my gains seem less when the layer of fat (which isn't much, thank god) is burned off?

If you're like extremely good at dieting you can almost lose little to none gains on a cut.
Cut starts Monday, but I'm not really sure what I should cut at. I'm thinking maybe 2000 calories a day? I'm 5' 9" and 170lbs. At first, I was gonna shoot for 1800 but IIFYM suggested around 2080.

[editline]28th March 2015[/editline] gonna end up like my friend, was at around 74kg cutted to 65 or something. Ripped as fuck, no muscles. [editline]28th March 2015[/editline] pretty sure he used roids tho, he has veins as thick as my pinky and he's 65kg, its really fucked. [editline]28th March 2015[/editline] im pretty sure 1 or maybe even 2kg of your weight is just water, idk when you weigh yourself but thats a low weight to cut at man.
Actually I was considering cutting to around 155 which is pretty close to 70kg. Maybe I won't cut yet then. I dunno, my abs have nearly vanished and while I'm enjoying having big arms for the first time in my life, I feel like my torso is becoming unappealing. I just want to look good for the summer, y'know? I don't rightfully know my BF% but I feel like my bulk has put on mostly muscle and I guess as long as that continues it wouldn't be a big deal. I just want to bench 155 god dammit and I know cutting won't get me there.
just cut muscle loss is bullshit you will look better, feel better, literally be better with less fat on your body. Everybody who isn't a complete beginner should get lean before attempting to bulk up.
