How short are your thumbs??? what?
Yeah I might be doing them wrong (hopefully, I really want to hook grip), but my hands are pretty small so it could just be that

Speaking of which, I only ever use hook grip like once or twice. Found it hard to maintain grip so I can't go as heavy as I would like with it. I reckon I probably need time adjusting to it. Hurts quite a bit though.
i forgot about perfumly. he was one of the lads tho
^It gets easier the more you do it, but it never stops hurting. Try wrapping sports tape on your thumbs.
I gained a pound the other week on my cut so I went into panic diet mode and stopped caring too much about macros. My diet now consists of 3 days where I'll only eat 2 meals for the whole day (chicken pasta bake and cottage cheese +yogurt) 3 days where I'll eat 3 meals but still maintain a defecit, and one day where I eat normally. I lost 3lbs like this last week. If I can keep this up for another 3 weeks I'll be sorted.

whoops!
Do you have like any 24 hours gym in your vicinity?

I go to a 24/7 hour gym but I see little point in going so late after a 8/9 hour shift
I work 7-7 (12 hours) and still go to the gym after work for 1-2 hours. After that I have to shower, make food, and shop for tomorrow. Its tough as fuck, but you gotta do things you dont want to do if you want to achieve your goals.
A quote my dad told me that I always think of is
If I waited till I felt like doing something, nothing would get done
I didn't say I was skipping the gym I said that given the choice I'm going to the gym before work. But then I wasn't sure about that due to not recovering until 12 hours later.
Oh, yeah do it before then! Testosterone is higher in the morning and tapers off near the end of the day anyways!
Just give 'er shit the whole week and then take 1 solid day off to eat and recover, that should be enough for the most part. After doing that for 4 weeks i take 3 days off for the 4th week and its like your growing nothing but solid muscle every day.

Once or twice I've managed to split my thumb open around the nail from hookgrip deads and snatch/clean pulls. But at the same time it feels like a natural position now, to the point where I actually have to think when I want to do a different grip. So I guess it feels natural to be in a little pain is what I'm saying :v:.
Also I've noticed I wasn't "patient" enough with my 2nd pulls these past couple months. I've seen it said over and over again on this FB group I'm a part of. People post vids of them with certain issues, and one of the reoccurring ones is pulling too early. So I tried to mentally adjust to really "waiting" until the bar made contact with the hips, as appose to pulling it in to the hips early. Made things much better.

You're saying it actually matters what time you lift?
Fuck I usually lift around 6 or 7, maybe this is why my gains felt kinda lackluster (that and my previous laziness when it came to counting calories and macros)
thankfully after this school year, I don't have to get up at 5:30 in the morning to pack lunch and eat a good breakfast before making the bus, lol
A very little bit, but not a heap load that you wont gain mass lifting at 10pm. The majority of my lift times are 7-11pm at home and I've been gaining steadily. I just remember reading about it.
met a new chick.
if it gets serious my gains are gonna get fucked.
whoa weighted dips are super fun
wish I started doing them sooner
ahh gonna lift today for the first time in 7 weeks because butt injury
planning to continue gslp for the 8-10ish kg i still have left to cut to regain some strength, then switching to a bb split to bulk
sound good?
also recommend an intermediate (faster gains than advanced) bb split pls
How can I work my chest good at home?
I got a curl bar and dumbells.
Not sure how I could do dumbbell presses efficiently, because I only really have a bed to lie on and I don't think that would work?
I'm really baffled by how much you can eat without gaining weight
I find it difficult as fuck to stay at 2200kcals a day.
Shit
2200 is nothing, I can lose weight on 4k cals a day.
It all depends on your activity level, size, and amount of muscle.

db benching without a bench is possible but sub optimal
you could do flies
Floor press. Superset with pushups.
If I can do flys and incline press on the tailgate of a truck, you can find a way to do the same. Flat surface with a small inclined surface for your back to rest on. Heck, on the floor with something behind your back.
Get creative, your at home so you may feel dumb, but nobody is there to judge you and you gotta get dose gains some how
lmao it's been 5 days since going to the gym and a lack of physical activity, now my knees hurt even more? I think I'm still getting used to my new job which involves a lot of squatting but still. guess I'll be doing bicep curls for a bit while my friend squats so I have something to do
Me and my gym buddy/best friend have a pact that neither of us do gear until we are 25 and unhappy with where we've gotten to. Both of us have to be unhappy, and at 25 I dont see that happening considering at 19 we are doing pretty good.
My motivation is busting it so hard that it looks like im on gear when I'm really not, which is common.
If you feel like you arent doing EVERYTHING in your power to get big then you arent ready for gear
The last part is what I've been telling myself too, last bulk didn't go as well as I planned from laziness mainly so I know I don't quite have the diligence and work ethic that I want to have for when I decide to get on gear. Once I get better about that I'll start considering it more.

Coffee table works good as a ghetto bench
Beat OHP plateau :^)
time to stall at 35kg instead
Usually when you take a break you'll be able to get back up to where you were relatively quick. When I was sick for about 2 weeks I went from 230 to 210 and it took about 2-3 weeks to get back up to 230. The first week was real fast though, so dont get discouraged too much by dropping so much weight, it should come fast.
need some advice: what's a good split when I only have 3 days a week to work out, about 2 hours each?
I was thinking something along the lines of:
Monday: chest/tris
Wednesday: back/bis
Friday: shoulders/legs
currently ~157lbs, looking to bulk up.
Do shoulders on the same day as chest and triceps. They all help each other - whether it's on bench press (especially anterior head of shoulders) or overhead press (assisted by triceps). Well actually your shoulders will be split between both that day and biceps+back, as the posterior head of the shoulder will assist in barbell rows.
I'd do PPL - push, pull, leg split. So what you suggested, but do core and legs on leg day. Personally I do a push pull split and bundle core and legs on pull day.

Also you don't need to be at the gym for 2 hours, go for 1 hour max.
roger, thanks. i meant that i have a 2 hour window, max, per day. i rarely ever use up more than an hour.

would deadlifts count as legs or pull exercise
definitely pull
does work hammies a little tho if you're doing sumo
