No no I mean like, as you get more fit, does it get less intense? Or is it the same feeling every time the whole time. Does it "get better"? Or is it just a part of the game? I mean idgaf, I'm in it for the long haul, but I'm curious
As you get more fit it goes away completely. I don't get sore any more unless I've worked a muscle group that I haven't worked in weeks. Even after a volume day on Texas method there's no soreness. [editline]24th May 2015[/editline] But that could be because I take a high-ish dose of fish oil every day.

I can't imagine these people being ~jacked~ and being sore all the time because they work out a lot. Yay, cheers

Been lifting close to 3 years steady, the soreness does get less intense or you learn to tune it out. Usually if I take a week off and come back to the gym I feel a little sore but otherwise if im steady for a while I never get sore but still progress.
Got a blister on my hand and I need to lift tomorrow, do I pop it now or just let it happen?
pop it and take as much dead skin off as possible [editline]24th May 2015[/editline] squatted 115 for 4 in other news, also don't think I've had a week of workouts this intense in a couple of months [editline]24th May 2015[/editline] also shoulder pressed 30 kg dumbbells for 8, about the same or maybe a little more than my ohp. I prefer them though, I like the extra range of movement [editline]24th May 2015[/editline]
Gotta love that HGH
huge gut hormone
fffff ready to start my bulk today in full force. ... and I remember it is memorial day therefore gym is closed. (and the video card I ordered isn't being delivered today like it is supposed to because of that as well)
cool
I'm dieting at 1800kcal For bulking what do you think I should stay at?
I'm dieting at 1800kcal For bulking what do you think I should stay at?
Well if you're like normal adult height so like minimum 2000 but probably 2500-3000 per day to keep it steady. I'm shit at calculating calories though and now from 72 to 80kg it's getting sluggish which is most likely because I get under 2000 calories because I sleep bad and eat dinner for breakfast.
I feel like I'm giving up nice arms and a 6 pack just so I can say I squat/ bench big numbers [editline]25th May 2015[/editline] The righteous path isnt always the easiest
Wtf is this dad bod shit on Facebook. Is it just fatties justifying awful diets?
I hate the whole "fat is fine" movement Its not, fat is disgusting, unattractive, cumbersom, promotes/facilitates laziness, and very very unhealthy. You should not be fine or happy with being fat, you should be happy being who you are and recognise that you need to make some changes in your life both in how you live and eat. This "dad bod" thing is just a bunch of skinnyfat mid-20s guys who've started to get fat from an unhealthy lifestyle. Claiming to be happy with their body when in reality they lack the motivation or effort to comit to a healthy lifestyle.
I disagree. There's nothing wrong with being skinnyfat/dadbod. It's unhealthy compared to people who work out regularly, sure, but it's nothing that will kill them in the long run. Once you start getting into overweight/obese territory though that's when it's actually a problem. You have to realize that being fit is not really top priority for most people and as long as they're not too unhealthy there's nothing wrong with that at all. I used to be fat but in the past few years I've made a lot of healthy changes and now I'm much healthier. I really liked those changes so I'm dedicating even more time to being fit now, I've made it one of my top priorities. And while it makes me happy, I can't speak for what will make others happy. As long as it doesn't hurt them, it's fine.
i don't like that fat people are getting more comfortable with being fat
all you steroid users are just jealous girls prefer my natural, doughy physique and are disgusted by your veiny, muscular bodies no one wants to make love to one large, tensed ass cheek. dad bods - 1, fitness freaks - 0
Some stuff online actually says girls would rather a fairly fit but not jacked guy because they feel pressured to look better. Same theory with a decent guy and some supermodel Obviously we WTF'ers dont give no fucks, bulk to 240 lean, pull in all da bitches

Shit I don't wanna look jacked like some of those professional bodybuilders but I don't want sagging tits and to look pregnant either. [editline]26th May 2015[/editline] Anyways back to srs business, is it bad to do mostly decline bench press instead of flat bench press? I prefer decline because I can lift more and my shoulders don't seem so restricted. It's of course not my only chest exercise, I also do cable crossovers, dumbbell flys and narrow grip dumbbell press (latter is more for triceps of course).
I dont see a problem if you're training purely for aesthetics, both exercises work the chest to a similar degree. [editline]26th May 2015[/editline] Dam, that hit home
dad bod was started by a chick who was insecure about being with a muscular dude and she was meh looking anyway then it got picked up by more meh looking insecure chicks then it got picked up by insecure and lazy guys bottom line: who the fuck cares
If decline works good for you and you feel it training chest then just keep doing it. There isnt any problem with not doing flat bench, I only ever do flat bench for stretching or heavy weight dick-waving.
Nah it's just water weight, people are wayyyy too scared of muscle mass loss, that shit doesn't happen overnight. We're talking probably a month at minimum of being inactive and/or sick.
2-3 weeks of not being able to go to the gym (still doing some bodyweight exercises) was all it took for me to lose about 10 months of "progress".
2-3 weeks of not being able to go to the gym (still doing some bodyweight exercises) was all it took for me to lose about 10 months of "progress".
10 months? Maybe it's your diet?
2-3 weeks of not being able to go to the gym (still doing some bodyweight exercises) was all it took for me to lose about 10 months of "progress".
I think you have a muscle wasting disease, go get checked, holy shit.
I was AWOL from lifting for 4 months and I barely lost any progress. Back up to my previous weights after only a week and a bit of lifting.
Who knows maybe he was protein deficient or just in a low calorie diet over those weeks. Anyways I just set a new bench pr today after a shift, after midnight, while I'm down with the cold. I seemingly go better at times when I shouldn't. I guess gains has no barriers except motivation.
guys this kind of thing is different for everybody
Sure it is but we're still all human, we all fall within a certain range for things like that and losing 10 months of progress in 2-3 weeks is alarming and he should probably consult a doctor anyway. Or maybe he's just weighting himself or something, guy went full lean bulk, put on 5-10 pounds in that 10 month and then he stopped working out for 2-3 weeks, lost 5-10 pounds in water weight and think his entire effort's gone.
man thought I invented a new bodyweight exercise but it already exists all you need is a pull-up bar much better than table rows and really wrecks the upper back
