Really tough to get a good representation in my bathroom with shitty lighting and selfies dont work too well to boot.
Looking good though, delts and chest look like they are coming along well.
2500+ breakfast? Damn, teach me your ways.
i've never counted calories in my life lol
i have a little baby appetite though. i wish i could bulk easier.
coulda just been a joint crack in your sternum
also bros is it a thing that I can lose weight faster on a smaller deficit? It makes no sense thermodynamically but a 500cal deficit yields me faster and more consistent weight loss while a 1000cal deficit has me jumping up and down in weight and barely losing??
As long as you are still eating like five times per day, keeping your metabolism up, I can't see how it wouldn't work if you had a larger deficit. But like, if you go into super deficit and eat only twice per day your metabolism is going to hit rock bottom and your body will naturally consume less energy /broscience

My shake is
1L of milk: 515 calories/34g protein/52.5g carbs
2 scoops of whey: 240 calories/58g protein/3g carbs
2 scoops mammoth mass gainer:625 cals/30g protein/115g carbs
1380/122/170.5
Now given time I will usually make either
8 eggs in various forms: 620 calories/50.3g protein/4.4g carbs
Two slices of whole wheat toast: 150 calories/6.2g protein/26.8g carbs
770/56.5/32g
Or
3 grilled cheese sandwiches: rougly 1111 calories/36.7g protein/80.4g carbs
2 eggs if im still hungry: 155 calories/12.6g protein/1.1g carbs
1266/49.3/81.5
So the total with eggs is: 2150 calories/178.5g protein/202.5g carbs
With grilled cheese its: 2646 calories/171.3g protein/252g carbs
Jesus. And thats only breakfast! I figured it was in the range of 2000, never counted before. I always make sure to have my shake.
Vitamins are important too! I have Zinc/Vit B/ Vit D/ and optionally krill oil/magnesium oxide/electrolyte mix i forget what they are but I have them before and after I workout for sure
Jeeze dude! That is insane for breakfast, I have a hard time eating a bowl of oatmeal and a glass of milk.
I also didn't realize how much time is required to when you want to "bulk", that must take some time to create that breakfast.
Would you mind sharing what you eat for lunch, before/after workout, and dinner? I'm really interested.

You guys aren't stoned 24/7 when bulking?
I think I'm doing this wrong.

Valon, I don't know how you stomach that much food at once. Your shake alone would probably make me throw up. 8 eggs? I thought 4 was a lot.
If any of you guys are in the UK then heres a good deal my mate sent me over facebook.

They are trusted and stuff, he always orders his food from bulk on it so i trust him.
Gonna get mine for that price.
Is Ron Partlow nat?
I really like his physique and it looks like it too
thanks greeley
that makes my £25 food budget go a looooong way
defence coach wants me to switch from corner to weakside linebacker because he said I've gotten big but am still fast AF, cant wait to start blitzing
rough estimation using this http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm tells me i should be eating 2500 calories for maintenance (20, 162 pounds, 6ft 3")
shall i just try and eat 500 calories more for bulking?
i entered exercise level at 3 times/week, although that is a bit vague, I can't imagine SL burning too much calories starting off
i've got a my fitness pal account although i'm only really using it for calorie tracking as it asks me questions like my goal weight which I have no clue where to aim for and i'll download the SL app see if that's any help
Almost tore my left bicep tendon trying to deadlift way more than I ever have before yesterday. Managed to get 2 pretty close to complete reps though so that was cool.
Promptly went home, smoked a bowl, and went to bed

No way of knowing for sure, but if I had to take a guess I would say that there is no in hell he is natural. You just can't 2nd in the IFBB North America naturally. That physique at that body weight is not attainable without gear.
My school gym isn't bad all things considered but the hours are terrible:
Monday - Thursday: 9am - 6pm
Friday: 10am - 2pm
Saturday - Sunday: Closed
Have my classes at 5PM, so for Fridays for instance I can't even kill the time in between getting out of work at 1 and class. Early in the semester other weekdays might have been an option if I didn't have HW to work on before class, but later on I pretty much always worked on shit during those free hours.
Wow I thought I had it bad at my rec center gym. M-T 5:30am-10pm, Fri 5:30-8, Sat/Sun till 6pm, closed pretty much every federal holiday.

my greatest test of sexuality would be being trapped in a locker room with you dudes. I'd like to say I'd pass the test and remain a strong, heterosexual man, but there's just too many variables, too many pumps, and too many striations. I'm only so strong, I don't know if I could fight the feelings.

all joking aside though, for real no homo
Now trying being actually homo
You learn pretty quick to to keep your eyes from wandering too much, and to think of other people as just random people instead of paying special attention to their looks. Otherwise, disaster.
The challenge is real if someone were giving me attention while looking particularly good, so I couldn't just ignore them or keep to myself. Thankfully most people just keep to themselves. Or are so old you get legit creeped out.

500 more is a good start. If you are only doing 3x a week though maybe 350-400 would work fine though. Try out 350-400, see how much you weigh in 2 weeks time. Not any more (even if its slight, 0.5-1lb/mo is good) or even less then bump it up 100cals or so.
Could also just go full on bear mode. But unless you workout INSANE and are experienced you'll just get more fat than muscle.
MadPro119, what routine are you using? Is it a strength routine or a split?
Man I'm kind of depressed that you can't get as big as Arnold without steroids. Although I've known this for quite some time I've always wanted to get the "disproportionate upper body development", and the closer I get to my potential for growth the sadder I get. I blame this on the fact that nobody told me that guys like Arnold were on gear until I was quite a bit older.
Something about the 70's was magical aesthetics wise.
Like who wouldn't want to look like Serge Nubret

Lunch, post workout, dinner, all varies, breakfast is the only constant. I have my second shake 1-2 hours before I go to bed, dinner varies but its some variance of meat/filling vegetable/side vegetable (example yesterday was chickenbreast/mashed taters/broccoli). I just make sure that it feels like enough food when I do eat, and then make sure come an hour later I have something else (if its late, bowl of cerial, if its mid day, milk with protein or a sandwich). Sometimes with breakfast I cook a little more and either drink half my shake then half a little later or eat the extras later.
My favorites are mashed potatoes, roast beef, and shepards pie. If I could have them every day I would, at the least I beg my mom for mashed potatoes. They are filling, good for you, caloric dense, easy to perserve and transport, plenty of carbs too.

The shake is vanilla mass gainer with vanilla protein, its awesome! When you 6'4 your able to eat a lot, when you've been eating like I do for a while you slowly start to be able to eat more and more. I have a video on my phone somewhere were gut extends quite a bit when im full (think those 6 second 6 pack and roid abs videos)

I met a childhood friend of his at my local gym who tried to frequently arrange me meeting him, but unfortunately at the time Rons career with mutant was just starting to take off so he was busy. From what I was told Ron never took them till he was 25 I think, at that time it was either take them to be competetive or dont compete at all. His friend told me he was very smart when he did it, despite being so big Ron wasnt dumb at all, he did a lot of reasearch, propperly planned his dosages, and made sure to minimalize any and all after effects. Shame I never did see Ron, he sounds like a really cool guy.
Nevemind. sounds like your in the same constantly shitty situation im in with motivation, there isnt a whole lotta people to look to and the good ones are usually on juice. My current motivation is the pre steroids bodybuilders, namely Reg Park (young, when he met Arnold and you see the side by side pics im pretty sure he was juicing with Arnold)

I'd say hes a pretty safe benchmark to uphold if you lift for 4-8 years. He doesnt look monster, but its still huge to the point that it looks good, looks big, and is appealing to a large amount of people (but fuck them look how you want to look.
Heck, if you want a good benchmark/comparison/motivation, look at me. Where I sit looks big but not gross, I obtained it naturally in 2.5 years, still growing, while im not mega lean at the moment with most clothing its easy to have a athletic and bodybuilder like look to myself rather than the tall lanky look most 6'4 guys have.
You look better than most 6'4 guys, take pride in that, your still growing, remember that, and never forget there is still room for improvement.
Guys, I deadlifted 50kg today for 5 sets of 5 reps :') Seeing as before I couldn't deadlift cause my legs were too weak, and I've only been lifting for 3 weeks. I am proud. FELT SO GOOD, SUCH A RAW EXERCISE.
for some reason it's really cool to read how excited you are over every achievement
wish I had this attitude
I considered it an achievement when I hit 160lbs on the pec machine. I could go higher, since I can do 8-10 reps x 3, but I've been alternating between that and the various forms of bench presses.
It's just I've lived most my life thinking I was a scrawny fuck, and this is the first official time I've ever had direction and proper help when it comes to lifting and it's just such an incredible feeling overcoming all these little hurdles I never thought I could do before. Glad to hear you like reading it.
50kg is babby weight but you're all really humble people, and it's nice posting in an environment where you all help motivate me.

i've been a lanky and unathletic cunt for most of my life except for a spot of running so hopefully I enjoy it as much as you are
been stood at the till at work flexing my glutes lol
best feeling ever today was when I wore my tracksuit that used to be somewhat loose, and now my glutes and quads are pushing up against the fabric so it's not as loose as it used to be. little things like that that make me realise I'm heading in the right direction.
you'll love it, dude.
MadPro119, what routine are you using? Is it a strength routine or a split?
I do ICF 5x5, which isn't split so I'm gonna say strength.
Were you quite scrawny / skinnyfat at the start of those 4 months? Cause I'm doing a strength routine and 4 months ending up looking like you would make me v happy.
Were you quite scrawny / skinnyfat at the start of those 4 months? Cause I'm doing a strength routine and 4 months ending up looking like you would make me v happy.
Not particularly scrawny or skinnyfat. Just skinny and normal, nothing much in the way of arms at all.
ICF 5x5 is a great program though and I'm sure you could look similar or even better if you eat right in 4 months.
