This is definetely a favourite thread. Some songs in here bring back memories! <3
I only listen to ska. My buddy has a ska band and I want to make my own. I play drums, guitar, and bass. I want to learn horns as well.
Western New York has a surprising amount of ska lovers.
No Ska shows in my area. Very disappointing.

There's been a ska thread on facepunch this whole time?
A friend of mine introduced Streetlight Manifesto and Five Iron Frenzy to me, and I fell in love with ska ever since. I listen to a wide spectrum of third-wave bands, but my favorite at them moment is Big D and the Kids Table.

I'm quite a ska fan, but I've never managed to get into third wave ska.
What turns you off from it?
I'm not sure, it might just be a little bit too hard and fast.
By all means I'll skank like a mentalist, but wouldn't choose to listen to it.
Desmond Dekker is a legend no denying it.

I saw Reel Big Fish in March at a local family friendly festival, and it was fucking hilarious how they were censoring themselves. They put on an amazing show, and accompanied with Streetlight will probably be awesome, you got a good night ahead of you. I just wish I wasn't out of town when they come to Arizona :C

Oh, and more love for the Aquabats! here.

If you ever see them coming to town, go. They're fucking rad. They destroyed vicious creatures and had two seven-year-olds crowd surf... on sharks.

Nobody Likes a Bogan - Area 7.
This was a top 100 hit in Australia. Back when I used to listen to Ska (Less than Jake were probably my fave). Bit different to stuff I've seen posted here (the accents ironically are massively bogan in this song), but I haven't watched every video, so I don't know if any Area 7 stuff has been posted.
More Area 7 (Area 7, as you can probably tell, are more the pop-punk ska style).

pretty decent Ska cover of "Boys Don't Cry" by Area 7.
This is punk/new wave , but if you listen to ska you'd probably listen to this shit too, so I'm posting it just BECAUSE. Also it has a fuckin saxophone in it, that makes it Ska , right ? amiright ? NO? WELL FUCK YOU.
also it's fucking good.
