I like to fly and swim in the ocean like a dolphin.
I have had this dream, I don't know if it was lucid or just the imaginings of my brain: It was a normal classroom, tables, students teacher beside a blackboard teaching. Everything was as serene as a school could be. A being stirred in the back of the room, it was me. With one surreal swipe of the hand all went silent, stiff as as statues. the being (To this day I cannot explain if he was me or not me) Started commanding: "You all, get out. Except you, call *Insert feminine name here*" (The name, I cannot remember, but the feeling was that it was definitely female). The being and that girl had glorious sex, I could feel it as well, detached to the being as I may be, then I woke up 5 seconds after initial penetration. It was weird. But if that was my sub, he would be a low brow Neanderthal
I had a lucid dream where I had sex with this woman. :siren:Image is NSFW:siren:
Does anybody else feel stuff in their dreams? A week ago I was fencing (in a dream), and I got slashed across my hand and it hurt like hell. Last night, I lucid dreamed and was able to will myself to pass through solid objects. I "felt" the cold steel of a door and the individual hairs of my arm brushed the inside of the door as I reached through it.
I feel stuff sometimes, but I taste stuff more. Nothing stabilizes a dream better than a baked caramel apple or a plate of steaming pancakes. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm [editline]19th April 2011[/editline] I had a lucid dream once where I was in an all-you-can-eat-buffet with every kind of food. ooooohhh yyyeeeaaaahhhhh
I've had a few lucid dreams over the last year when I started getting into it. I had one about 2 months ago controlled it for about 15 minutes went from dream to lucid (it's called a DILD). I'm telling you guys. IT IS AWESOME. You can litterally have control over everything and you can think straight as if you were awake. You actually are awake. And you realize everything. That's the beauty of a lucid dream. But it can also be very hard to control one. There are many ways to keep control of your lucid dream and how to attain it. What I don't recommend you doing in your first lucid dreams is flying, or having...sex. Cause you will lose your lucid dream immediately. Check this website out for tips on how to keep control of your lucid dreams and how to attain them: www.dreamviews.com

"What is my subconscious In waking life, it is a manifest of all your emotions and thoughts. It is also what does work, skill and keep knowledge. If you wish to refer it as a person, then you are known as the conscious, you're like the Kim Jong Il of your body and the subconscious is north korea, you determine what goes on, what stays secret and what happens. Note that it is influenced by you and it influences your dream." Wait so is it like me in a diffrent form or is it somthing completely diffrent.....
arent there many theories to what a subconscious is, such as Sigmund Freud's
How long does FILD even take? My longest FILD attempt was probably an hour.
It probably FELT like an hour. Besides, if you're focusing so hard that you're not falling asleep, you're doing it wrong. Pretend your consciousness is like a small orb. It's currently in your head, right? Just try to kind of...will it into your hand, and then focus on the finger. Not too much, but enough that it's there. It's hard to explain, you just have to experiment until you get it right. [editline]19th April 2011[/editline]
arent there many theories to what a subconscious is, such as Sigmund Freud's
Not really. Freud didn't believe in a "subconscious" mind so much as the "unconscious" mind, which isn't entirely the same thing when you think about it. Your subconscious is continually active even when you're awake and conscious, it's what drives your moral decisions and impulses, everything. In THAT respect, Freud was right. He considered the unconscious mind as like a warehouse of your instincts, desires, feelings, etc., which is what the subconscious is commonly considered today. So basically, roughly what Freud thought except active all the time. The idea of a "sub", as I call it, however, is debated. Some argue that it's just the manifestation of your subconscious, which is what I advocate here and on Dreamviews (when I'm not disgusted). Some argue it's the image of the person you wish you could be or want to be (but I'd argue that your subconscious is basically the person you want to be), and some argue that it's God's way of talking to you (which I also agree with, although slightly less than the other definitions.) So, to answer your question, while there ARE some weird theories out there, generally speaking, the idea of a subconscious is relatively agreed upon as a more "pure" conscious, one that doesn't care about bias or cliques or anything else. So, basically, what Freud said.

MWAHAHAHAHA No srsly tho, it is you, just not necessarily the 'you' that you present to people, so... So my dream recall is up thanks to my dream journal, as evidenced by an entirely too long account from this morning. It was about House investigating a serial killer, then about that guy developing toxic blood and going around giving people 'cerebral palsy' (bloody arm sores, why in the hell were they calling it cerebral palsy), then I was an amnesiac in a dystopian future where this guy was president after blowing up his adversaries, after which he passed a law requiring buildings to be made partially out of explosives. He could kill anyone anytime, man... oh, and he screwed with the internet. Also, I found this out from my brother's wife, who turned into Alyx Vance, complete with implied Dog army. What the crap... sure, it's not incredibly weird, but how it played out was a bit... unexpected, to say the least. At least I'm getting some material for the dream discussion group that's meeting tomorrow... woot I hope everyone's at least as insane as I am, 'cause then I'd get some pretty interesting stories. Could maybe share them here too? Anyways, I'm just thinking out loud at this point, so I think I'm gonna just end it h
WILD and FILD are your best bets. I recommend FILD, Orkel and I have been studying it and it seems to work like ALL the time. Which is good. Also, I finally have an answer to the question I've had forever, which is: "Why is it that when I try to punch or fight someone in dreams, I feel incredibly bogged down and slow?" That makes me happy. [editline]19th April 2011[/editline] LOOK AT ALL THE NEW PEOPLE. LOOK WHAT I HATH DONE. YAY.
what is FILD and how do I do it I want to talk to my subconscious so badly :v:
Last night, I had a dream where I was at a travel location (air port, train station etc.) of some sort and then I got pulled into the bathroom by some hot chick who worked there, and she took her clothes off. I felt her tits and then she started to go down on me. I woke up when she removed my pants.
what is FILD and how do I do it
Finger Induced Lucid Dream: A variant of DEILD (Dream Exit Induced Lucid Dream) in which minute twitching of the fingers induces sleep paralysis. This is also good for keeping your concentration while falling back into a dream, trying to keep consciousness. DEILD: Once your dream recall is good and you are aware of waking after many of your dreams you are ready to start DEILDing! When done properly the whole process generally takes less than a minute from awake to in a LD. You awake after a dream. Now HOLD STILL! Don't open your eyes. The less you move the better chance you will have of success. This is because moving can cause your brain to come out of REM. You need to keep your mind awake, but still in that dreamy, in-between state. Now a dream will form around you. At this stage you may feel some sleep paralysis, since DEILD is a kind of WILD. Usually this happens in under a minute, and may be as fast as 5-10 seconds. copy pasted from Dreamviews.
I used to have really vivid realistic dreams and it was crazy because during the present I couldn't never tell if things were actually going on or it was just me imagining it. Its hard to explain, but it felt like i was in third person. But relating to the thread, my friend has been trying to lucid dream for a while now.. hasn't gotten it down. I think it would be fucking intense to lucid dream
Both. MWAHAHAHAHA No srsly tho, it is you, just not necessarily the 'you' that you present to people, so...
Wait does you mean its somthing that I could "Control"? Because if its me and I control everything in the dream does it control things in the dream 0.o
]my friend has been trying to lucid dream for a while now.. hasn't gotten it down. I think it would be fucking intense to lucid dream
The key idea is to realize you're dreaming and that anything and EVERYTHING is possible in the dream state. It's one of the coolest realizations (I think) to ever experience.
Because if its me and I control everything in the dream does it control things in the dream
Yes. (I think)
Do you guys know of any tips to prolong/dream sooner? I always seem to start dreaming right at the end of my sleep, and really hate it because the dreams often get cut off right when it starts to get interesting :smith:
We all know about dreamviews. the community is shit.
Why do you think that?
Why do you feel like a spambot...
Well, it look like it indeed. But it's a really good site for those who want to know more about lucid dreaming. I just felt like sharing it because I want everyone to learn about lucid dreaming because it is just so amazing, it's way better than most people think it is. Sorry if I looked like a spam bot.
You're trying to teach a forum about lucid dreaming when they have a thread for that in the most read section of the forum. Almost all of us know what it's like and most of the people who know have experienced themselves. also dreamviews suck go zinayzen master dreamer yay
Dreamviews doesn't necessarily SUCK, it's just that the community is pretty...well, shitty. The tutorials are all pretty good, except for the astral projection ones. It's one of those things you take with a grain of salt, just in case. GODDAMMIT I WANT PORTAL 2 ZIN Y U NO MONEY
Ever since I started reading and posting in this thread, I've been getting better lucid dreams. Coincidence?
go zinayzen master dreamer yay
I was trying to be positive.
Ever since I started reading and posting in this thread, I've been getting better lucid dreams. Coincidence?
Just reading about lucid dreaming or thinking about it gives you a much higher chance of getting one
Ever since I started reading and posting in this thread, I've been getting better lucid dreams. Coincidence?
Not at all. Welcome to the :bandwagon:

I went to sleep yesterday without doing any preparations for LD'ing, no MILD, no WILD, no nothing. SO, I started dreaming when I woke up in my old house. "This isn't right" And I just forced my self into Lucidity with logic. hard to believe I know but it happened. And then I was Vegeta.
What did the scouter say?
I don't know. I was blowing up everything while this went on: Or maybe this: I don't exactly remember the details. Fuzzy thing Lucidity.
I still dreamed she'll come to me
And then I was Vegeta.
That's the funniest thing I've read this past month.
I haven't remembered a dream since probably 2 years back :gonk:
I haven't remembered a dream since probably 2 years back :gonk:
I hadn't either until just recently. It involved a stalker living in my attic. :smithicide:
