I had a dream last night, it was semi lucid, though i forgot what it was because i didn't write it down. I also had one a couple of days ago and i was a woman :smug:
In response to Uroborus and LittleTodds: Right...I'm going to say this now, and this is the only time I'm going to say it. Cross-dreaming is not possible. I don't care what you THINK you've somehow accomplished (or fallen victim to), I can guarantee it's not possible. The biological reasons are overwhelming and the psychological consequences are dire enough that there's absolutely no, and I mean NO, possibility that that could happen. I don't know what's happening, because you both have a tendency to speak hilariously cryptically so I have no idea what the hell you're talking about. I know the idea of a conscious and subconscious is kind of "mystic", in a way, but you can talk like normal people and I'll still understand you. One person's SC can't infiltrate someone else's head, regardless of whether or not you think it happened. Whatever's happening, I can tell you it's not dream sharing. More likely than not, it's the placebo effect (and remember, your brain will notice and change even if you KNOW it's a placebo), so just think about what's happening more rationally and you'll be able to figure your own shit out. Nothing you dream is too personal to post in a thread where you're around people having the exact same dreams. I had a dream where I was getting a blowjob from a hot girl and she turned into my subconscious while still sucking my dick. That's just awkward, yet if I can say that and not give a fuck what other people think, you guys can talk about stuff here that's actually interesting and possibly a learning experience. tl;dr not real, post here
I was thinking maybe writing a letter (in real life) to my subconscious would help me connect to it more and possibly have more LDs. I don't know if that would work or not but in theory it should receive it. If I'm not at the stage of being able to communicate with my sc in a dream then why not in the waking world where I have complete awareness? Also, what sort of answer would you receive if you asked your sc "If I describe you as the subconscious part of me, what do you describe this part of me?". Would you receive some sort of revelation such as 'the soul' or something?
Ok, I need to figure out something here and i want to get it off my chest. After a pretty huge test i had like an hour to do whatever i wanted, so i decided to get some shut eye. After about 30 minutes, my friend would usually go over and bop my head, as a joke. But i just ignored what seemed to be a bop on my head, but then i heard a ringing. And it feel like i was getting hit more and more but it was getting fainter, i tried waking up, but i couldn't i tried harder and harder, then after 3 seconds i came awake breathing pretty hard, my classmate looks at me funny, and i go back to snoozing. Is this all normal?
I figured I might post here and try and clear things up (I've been lurking this thread for awhile)... I didn't mean it in that way at all, Zin. It was more his behaviour at the time, trying to cast a sense of doubt in my mind by acting weird suddenly - whether I could believe what he was trying to say to me after that. This has nothing to do with cross-dreaming. I was not trying to speak cryptically, I'm just utterly hopeless at explaining things, especially things that I don't think through properly. I believe this can be approached more logically. His issues don't concern me anymore, so I'll let Uroborus explain what he thinks as well. I don't exactly know what he said to you, but I'm sure he can explain it properly and sort this business out. Sorry for making little to no sense, I really didn't understand what I was saying at the time, but now I've thought through this a bit more. This has NOTHING to do with his subconscious or sharing dreams. It was just meant to be me not believing what occurred on his end after he acted up (things were said by his subconscious (his 'darker side'), like "You know what I am, you just don't want to admit it to yourself."). I was completely confused over what he was saying. It was all meant to be in my mind, and I would start to reconsider some things - eventually leading to me not believing him. Now that it makes more sense to me, I've realised that it's not worth worrying over. It was disbelieving what he said and the intention was to make me lose trust. They are his dreams, not mine, and although his subconscious (both sides; good and bad) was trying to say things to me in his dreams and whatnot (knowing I was helping and reading logs, therefore I'd read what they'd directed at me), I'm not going to get myself involved with someone else's issues like that anymore. I was naive and simply got dragged along with my inexperience. I was a fool for thinking I could provide help for him at this stage (maybe initially, I could, but I should've let him sort out his own problems after that). So I apologise for asking you about it - at the time, I was confused over what Uroborus was saying, and I thought that you may be able to make sense of it, approaching it from a more realistic point of view. I admit I was concerned about it at the time, but I really have nothing to worry about. I hope that clears things up. If not, then I'll try and explain things again. I don't really have anything to contribute here, at this point. Nothing is as exciting as the stuff that you all post. But for anyone who is interested, I have been lucid dreaming (or trying to) for a year now. I was getting about 3 per week late last year, but I don't have so many these days. If I have anything interesting then I'll post it. Thanks.
i had a dream i was on fire. Not much else happened.

If you want to talk to it, try ideomotor response
Get something like a rock attached to a string and hold the string with two fingers. Imagine it moving side to side. When it does, you are now talking with your sub. Tell it which direction to shake for different answers, e.g. left-right for yes, back-forth for no.
Your sub will never give you a LD directly. If it says it will give you a LD and if you keep thought close to you, you may just well get a LD, but however, without meeting it. I don't know about you, but my sub wants me to work to for a LD rather than have him help me.
Your sub will never give you a LD directly.
My sub has directly given me LD's. Once, he texted me in a dream telling me I was dreaming. I saw the "from" box on the cellphone; it said it was from myself. Other times he just flat out tells me I'm dreaming.
Last night was insane. When I was younger, I had dreams that ended in explosions or massive battles with evil and I couldn't cope with them and so I lost each time and would wake up feeling defeated. Now that I can lucid dream, all the nightmares of me losing are coming back in full force, and I'm winning them now. Last night, one of the most epic dreams (and I mean that in the full sense of the word) occured. I've forgotten parts of it, but these are the characters and settings I remember so far:
In a city led by a totalitarian government, most of the residents are suprisingly placid. The government takes care of them, poverty and violence have been eliminated, but they fail to realize their leader is not on their side (evil incarnate). However, a medium sized group has taken to reviving an age long tradition of tree men. "Tree men" are in essence, powerbocking hadouken throwing amateur paramilitary soldiers who dress in a rigid ghillie suit. They practice their skills in an abandoned arena near the edge of the massive city. I think they aid me later on but I don't remember... An 11 year old girl who is a reincarnated mystic. She lives alone without her parents in a large Victorian house in a quiet part of the city. She is entirely self sufficient because of her powers. Meanwhile, the leader of the city is trying to open a portal of darkness, but is unsuccessful due to the girl's intervention. He sends SWAT to kill her. I defend the house in a massive gunfight that oddly enough leaves no bullet holes or any mess at all (probably the little girl cleaning up). Whatever. Apparently below the city there is a gigantic underground advanced civilization that is not known to exist by anybody other than the father of the little girl, who has spent years trying to find the entrance in the sewers of the city. Suddenly he finds the doorway (it's gleaming white like an Apple store) and at that moment the girl teleports herself and I to his location. The underground civilization is like the new Star Trek movie + Apple + the movie Brazil. Wow. I think this is probably the largest area my brain has ever rendered. It's fucking huge. Anyway, The antagonist opens the portal of darkness and giant Dark whales and Dark squids come out. Somehow we end up in a shopping mall, with some Tree men, or something... MASSIVE FUCKING BATTLE Until now I haven't really been LD yet, but then, it happens: The main antagonist is smiling, and as I draw my gun and shoot him, the bullet just glides right through. The sounds of the battle diminish in my ears, and time temporarily slows down. He turns and says directly at me, "This is a dream." Holy shit. Full on LD now, I engage in a 10 minute battle with the protagonist with all sorts of telepathy and pyrokinesis. I win. He vanishes, and everyone embraces the futuristic underground city together.
tl;dr IT WAS AWESOME [sp]/c[/sp]
lucky bastard
What he said.
Last night after I wrote that letter I became really paranoid thinking something would happen or I would see my sc or something, I was doing my teeth and freaked out because I saw a black figure behind me (but it was just a painting). I don't know if that meant my sc was annoyed at me or something (this was in real life by the way).
That sounds a bit selfish. Remember that it is, in fact you. It knows what your thoughts are. If you want to talk to it, try ideomotor response.
I suppose it is, but a lot of the reason why I want to LD in the first place is to talk to it. I feel like I'm missing out a lot because I don't LD very much and I feel controlled by dream logic, and even though I RC a lot in real life it doesn't seem to translate over.
Whelp. It seemed that something clicked. And I dreamed. It was about my penis being a floppy and elastic horse dong.
Anyone remember me? (Activeellis) I was here since v1. I am surprised at the fact I never come here. I regard myself not bad with dreaming, I know pretty much everything in OP. Sup.

I haven't remembered a dream in months, sad. How could I get my recall back? Dream Diaries do not help much since I don't remember any right now.

Dream Diaries do not help much since I don't remember any right now.
When you wake up, try and focus on the dream, the write it in a dream journal I had a dream last month, well it was a nightmare, I was reading this enjoyable book, and at the end of the book there was this thing written in blood, it said "well done." or "congratulations.", I went on my computer, and then someone touched me, it was a man, he looked like a zombie, and he had slits on his wrist, they were paper cuts(I assumed this, as when I woke up, it would of been believable that he had killed himself giving paper cut, In a dream anything is possible.), he then threw a knife at me and I dodged it, the computer it hit. He then disappeared, I went on my iPod and searched for him, it said I had to make someone else read it, I gave it to my brother, and then I woke up when my other brother got possessed by him. I woke up and wrote all of this down in my dream journal, I'm thing of writing a horror book on this. [editline]9th May 2011[/editline] He gave himself papercuts from the book btw. Any tips for a writer and his first book?

[editline]9th May 2011[/editline] Most importantly, good characters. No one cares about that one "guy" who died, it really kills the story.
