I just read a ton of stuff on all the -ILDs that I didn't know existed until now.
Now I really want to try them.
Can someone else here describe one of their lucid dreams? I just want to know what it's like.
[editline]30th May 2011[/editline]
Fuckk, I just read a ton about lucid dreaming and then I started thinking of all my worst fears and couldn't stop.
Now I'm scared to go to sleep because even if I don't have a lucid dream I'll probably have at least a really scary one.
[editline]30th May 2011[/editline]
Like the whole "never look in a dream mirror" thing, I am already sort of scared of looking in mirrors in real life (just when I'm alone late at night they kinda creep me out)
Yes it does. Common with lucid dreamers (like me for example now)

And yeah it can be scary as hell, one time my closet door opened and a creepy ghost girl rushed at me screaming, almost pissed my pants because it felt so realistic.
Oh god was she floating? Don't tell me she was floating.
:ohdear:
Damn, I would never want to see a mirror in one of my dreams. Just the idea of it is giving me goosebumps.
Edit: Actually, it wouldn't matter. I can't remember a single one of my dreams from the last few months. I'm terrible with dream recall.

I think I looked in a mirror once. I think it warped me to another one like Luigi's Mansion.
I really need to transition back into normal LD patterns again. But at least I don't get SP, that's a plus.
I'm getting seriously freaked out about going to sleep tonight.
I need to stop reading about dreams, ughh
[editline]30th May 2011[/editline]
I mean I've already had a lot of anxiety issues all my life.
I almost never have nightmares, but this is still making me scared.
Actually now that I think about it the last nightmare I remember was about 10 years ago in a hotel room after a long flight.

So just how helpful is a dream journel. I already started taking b6 and i have had some crazy dreams on it. One time i even remember telling myself it was just a dream because it got to scary one time. Closest ive gotten so far. how does Ambien affect dreams?
I need to get it to my sub that I want to have dream recall be important.
Not remembering dreams sucks :saddowns:
I dreamt that I opened up my own chest and cut through one of the ventricles in my heart. In the dream, I kind of liked the feeling of sawing through my own sternum carefully. I felt no pain. I felt nothing, physically or emotionally. I bled all over the kitchen floor and people came in to eat, but nobody said anything to me and I thought it was interesting that I was still conscious. I didn't really mind if I happened to die, though.
Funny how things like flying are impossible to me but swinging around a massive hunk of steel and turning masses of people into bloody mush doesn't cause any complications.
:smith:
That. Never. Happens. For. Me.
Even if it is a video game dream, there is no form of gore. Plus, I've had trouble swinging a massive hunk of steel, yet alone, punching.
Flying can be a game itself y'know. It's something you must try when you go lucid.

Dream journals are ESSENTIAL. I very highly suggest it.
Ambien, iirc, doesn't do much to dreams. Might affect the chemical cycles a bit, but not enough to change anything a noticeable amount. Might change the time between cycle 2 and 3, but you wouldn't know if it did.

Work your ass off at it rather than beg. Eat bananas, drink 7 up revive and take cod liver oil. Just don't take too much, it can damage your nerves.

Well, you know how in some movies, the ghost goes really fast towards the camera, like if the camera was greatly sped up for half a second? That's how it went.

It's easier when you absolutely, firmly believe that the dreamworld is your bitch.

To be honest, I haven't tried to do a gore fest lucidly. But a massive hunk of steel, I ran out of ideas in the LD when I was doing it. It was a huge keyblade and I mean, huge, 'bout 6 to 8 feet long.

I punched a skycraper and turned it into a hulking concrete titan with six arms and shoulder mounted concrete cannons.

And I really mean mush. Grab a really cooked orange, put on a table and hit it with a sledge hammer from the side. The sledge makes it go flat against it due to the power in the swing. Now imagine a grassy, open field with someone holding a fairly long metallic flagpole. That someone swings the flagpole and a crowd of people get pushed flat against it, slowly getting torn apart by the flagpole's velocity it hits them with.
That gore is really detailed, their bones, skin, flesh, guts...all fly on the grass and it stands out from otherwise green field like a sore thumb.
Then again, when I get a sword it gets more interesting. I just slice people to pieces while Waltz stuffs the sword under the projections' kneecaps and twists it around. He likes torturing a bit.
Now, the most fun thing about killing projections is you get to be creative. To me, it's like Gmod V2. Better graphics, better control and no physics engine really limiting you. I remember once building a catapult that would launch a single lit match that would light a fire which in turn would melt a candle. The candle would have a key inside it which would drop on a scale which would trigger a gun and shoot the projection in the head. All kinds of fun stuff but it always boils down to killing, maiming or torturing something.
Hahaha I got all worked up over nothing.
The only thing I remember from last night was eating ice cream.
Except at this one point when I went to sleep, the sound of my fan sounded like someone whispering while moving closer really fast and it was pretty scary.

Has anyone tried a lucid dream mp3?
I had a weird but somewhat-mundane dream (at least in comparison with some of my other dreams). Basically, I was just following some girl around. I don't know who she was or anything about her really. She just stood out of the crowd because she had bright-red hair. So this carried on for some unspecified amount of time until she stops moving, but I keep following; so the distance is closed. She turns around, stabs me in the gut, then continues walking. I keep following her, blood gushing out of me and losing stability in my balance. Eventually she stops again and, once again, I keep following; closing the distance between us. Once I get close enough, she turns around and punches me in the face.
I woke up falling off the side of my bed right then. Why the hell did I dream about getting the shit beaten out of me by some redhead I don't know?
I had this dream again last night. Same basic scenario. The crowd was just less populated. The first time she stopped to turn around, she tazed me then continued walking. The second time, she sprayed me in the eyes with pepper spray and then used a foghorn right in my ear then bashed me down over the back of my head while I was blinded and confused.
I woke up, facedown, on my floor. My alarm clock going off right next to my head (I don't have a nightstand, it just sits on the floor). The alarm is a loud-ass klaxon that can be heard in the next house over. I set it to go off because I forgot that it's a national holiday here. Rest-assured, I tried getting some more sleep, but couldn't. So, today, I decided to be...productive.

I think I know what this is. You keep trying to contact someone but get rejected. Regardless you keep trying even though you can already guess you're going to fail. The crowd in there shows there are a lot of other people to talk to. Think about what your sub is telling you.
you know, the interpretation of the same dream will vary GREATLY for different people.
You can't really tell him what it's telling him, because it's always based off their own experiences.
[editline]30th May 2011[/editline]
Also not every dream moment is meaningful, it's just what your subconscious is thinking, and you can sometimes extract meaning from that.

Pretty sure that dream means he should probably just stop going after the same girl over and over. Bet he's got a crush and he's been rejected but doesn't want to quit it.
So maybe you guys can make sense of this.
It's my school's gym. There's some sort of pep rally going on, but it's just awful. At the end, everyone but me vanishes, and the janitor comes out and starts hosing the floor with water. as he does this, everything starts to melt. "sorry kid. You gotta find a way out." he says. I find an emergency exit and run through grass to a blue truck(I don't even own one) and thn I awoke.
I don't get it.

I've not had a crush for quite a while, and even in the most recent occurrence, I had acted upon it with satisfactory results. If anything, I'm feeling lonely nowadays so I just desire someone who will make me feel not as lonely. There are some things that cannot be supplemented when solo. Sex can be supplemented with masturbation, but conversation cannot be supplemented with monologue (at least not all the time).
I'm going to sleep now, I have no clue if I'll have this recurring dream again or not. If I do, I'm moving all the shit away from my bed beforehand, it's apparent that I fall out of my bed and I don't want to land on top of something painful or whatever.
See you guys and this thread when I wake up :v:

By the person asking the question. :ninja:

I think it's not just the fact you're lonely.
You're afraid and you're shy of girls.
[editline]31st May 2011[/editline]
Scratch that, you're just shy.
[editline]31st May 2011[/editline]
But you are worried about how girls feel about you. You know if you do something, all you get is shit.
I think I just passed my latent fear of heights. Thank you lucid dreaming.
Nice dream last night. I had died and turned into a ghost, and went around invisible doing fun stuff to various ladies.
