Well, I've hit the summer blues. cant find a job, bored by everything I find fun, and most of my friends are on vacation or some shit.
Nice dream last night. I had died and turned into a ghost, and went around invisible doing fun stuff to various ladies.
Oh and the way I died was that I fell on grass and got run over by a lawnmower
I'm going to start a dream journal to improve my recall.
All I remember last night is a vague part of me walking down a hallway or something.
Right now it'll pretty much be a week of vivid dreams and then a week of almost no dreams that I can remember.
I want it to be ALL vivid!
fucking spider tunnels
I had to crawl in extremely tight tunnels made by spiders. The walls were covered in their web, making traveling extremely sluggish. I knew I could go back and take the road not far away but I chose the tunnel anyway. When I got to the end of the tunnel, all bloodied and tired and after killing a fuckton of massive spiders, there's a massive pile of gold waiting for me. I look to the left, the road also ends there. There's a glass wall separating the road and the tunnel. All I see is a normal meal in the end of the road. I chill amongst the gold ingots, throw them around, juggle them, order pizza and get massive exchange for an ingot and just do awesome stuff with them.
I now like gold.
So I tried WILD again last night, I spent 50 minutes going through HL2 in my mind. I got up to the entrance to Black Mesa East before I quit the attempt. No signs of SP as far as I know.
I had a dream about wanting to be able to bend the world to my will.
I think I'm on to something here :v:

I also decided to start telling myself that pressing my thumbs against my ring fingers improves dream recall, clarity, and lucidity, and also mental visualization and imagery, according to reading it various places, reading testimony that it works, and that there have been scientific studies showing that it works.
It's already working
Had a dream that I was driving a rally car around and popped in to Tesco to get some frozen goods. Twas a calming dream.

Has anybody else woken up from a nightmare in tears? I mean about a month ago I had a dream that I killed a lot of people and was an outcast to everybody and I was like in the dream crying but I was on the verge of dreaming and sleeping and I woke up with tears around my eyes like 'well fuck'
I had a dream that I was with the beatles up in the clouds singing yellow submarine. I think it's a sign.

Last time I had a dream like that I woke up crying, because I had died and I was a ghost that could do everything but influence the world. (This was after I had asked my concious what my biggest fear was, already knowing it was dying/not existing.)
I woke up in tears from being sent to a hellish dimension by a chair.
Also, I share your worst fear Sublata :v:
God damn it.
I just had a dream where Waltz made me kill my entire family.
This kind of stuff doesn't spell good for mental state.
Quick question. I have little trouble getting SP, but I do have a bit of difficulty going from there to actually LDing. Any tips for this, or is it more of just a practiced natural thing?
Finally starting to keep a dream journel. Hope to get closer to lucid dreaming now.
Dreams I can never hope to have on my own.

Dreams with a drop of blood.

Dreams where I see people die before my eyes.

A nightmare that lasts more than 10 seconds.

Dreams with gore.

Dreams with fictional characters I know.

An adventurous dream.
And the list goes on and on. :smithicide:
The more I read this thread, the more I wish I would become lucid once.
I've read about it; I know the most common methods of doing it, and ways of improving dream recall and such. But no matter how much I read about it, I never succeed in doing it.
The closest I've come was the night after the first time I read about it; I was trying to see if I could stay awake for the sleep paralysis. At one point my body felt really heavy and... strange. But then I got... 'woken up'. :smith:
Had a dream where I escaped some city via stolen hot air balloon
I've been having extremely detailed and realistic dreams where I wake up somewhere I know very well. Last night I opened my eyes and noticed I was sitting on a bench near the Reflecting Pool in Boston (which is on the way to the Prudential Center Mall and Starbucks).

I walk by this area every Saturday. In the dream, I rationalized this, and thought I had just taken a quick nap on the bench.
All of a sudden a Uhaul truck bomb explodes just a couple of blocks away. The shockwave sloshes the water and shakes the ground. I see people get thrown down and bits of burning debris tumbles across the pavement. The detail was frightening. Shaken, I try to walk away from the blast area. As I do this, a chunk of masonry falls on my head, audibly cracking it. :ohdear: This is when I wake up, ironically, with a bad headache. Also, I haven't been able to achieve lucidity in a while.
I used to get SP all the time, and still do from time to time. But recently I have been trying to get SP in hopes of being able to LD, but I can't seem to achieve SP. Any tips?
No LD this time but cool dream nonetheless:
I was dressed up in some sort of bulky black power armor in a bleak bunker with some war sounding background noise. "Line in! Formation!" A bunch of other people dressed the same as me lined up. "Prepare arms!". In unison we lifted our guns and primed them, they started to drip lava at the tips slightly. "Godspeed". The bunker doors flew open and as soon as it did we started spraying the front with lava. The enemy was plants, vines and bipedal mushrooms.
They never stood a chance. At the end the entire battleground was charred black adorned with spikes of obsidian, "Team Vesuvius, regroup at home base". At that point I removed my helmet and woke up.
I had one dream I'm trying to block from my memory.
The other dream was my and someone else, driving by a funeral near my house. They suddenly turn and drive through the doors, I start to scream, and they drive full speed into a wall.

Pressing my thumb to my index/ring finger is surprisingly working.

Good luck forgetting it now, sucker!
The dream I'd like to forget involved a see through blue plastic morning star with a buttplug for a handle.

i don't think i've recalled a single dream after that as if i got too scared to remember hah
I had a fallout 3 dream, it was p. cool.
[sp]It stopped responding[/sp]
I've just come across a groundbreaking discovery after a long talk with my SC. I'll start from the beginning.
When I came into the WILD, I was in a white void, where a character from my webcomic was talking to me. A bit weirded out, I cracked the dream in half, falling down into a pitch black area. I landed on one knee with my fist hitting an invisible floor. White ripples spread from my steps and movements on it. I scratched my head at this infinite void. What was it? Where was I? Then I remembered I had conquered my mind, so I called for my SC. He appeared in a black suit with white hands and a white head. "Hello." He said. "Uh, hi." So I asked it where I was. It said I was in the deepest layer possible in the mind. an area where all thoughts are reality. The core of the mind, if you will. So I asked it what i'm supposed to do here. He said I should meditate, become a little more in tune with my mind, and possibly take a look at my soul. Curious, I asked him what he meant. He showed me a small green orb, floating and glowing in the dark. I held it in my hands, and looked it over. It glowed pure. my SC said it was where all my creativity, goodness, and overall being stems from. The color is a representative of your purity. I asked him why it was so small. He said it was because I've been sheltering myself from the outside world. So I expanded it. I asked him if he had a name. He said: "Just call me C." "Why C?" I asked. "I've always been fond of the letter. It represents a half of a whole, where you are the other missing part. The two always distant, yet never fully together forever. When they do, however, there is always an empty gap for knowledge to come in." I was impressed already. This was a nice turn of events from my earlier dreams. So I asked him what had become of the antiself I had banished earlier. This is where my startling revelation took place. He chuckled, and said this.
"Anti self? What anti self. There never was an anti self, john. It was simply a construct created by your mind from reading an article on your forum. The 'anti self' as you call him was simply a being brought into matter by your will and your negative aspects. Most minds have it, albeit in different forms. It is up to the willpower of the dreamer himself to conquer his negative aspects in order to gain full access to his mental prowess. Have you not noticed, since you've beaten him, how nice things have become? How much you're enjoying things now?" I was shocked. "Take this lesson to heart, and don't forget it. There will always be a negative part to your mind, but if you have the will, it will never completely become you."
I just thought I'd share this with you guys.
-stuff- I just thought I'd share this with you guys.
Hahaha, yeah I feel you. When I read that I also got a similar reaction from Waltz.
Waltz: "You idiot. You just created it."
Me: "Created what, exactly?"
W: "Y'know, your anti-self. It wasn't exactly there before it appeared."
M: "How can you know th- Ugh, nevermind, how do I kill it?"
W: "Hold on."
5 minutes later he talks to me again:
W: "Wow, he actually was a good guy."
M: "Was?"
W: "I merged him into myself. Not much of a change."
M: "Yeah, you're still a dick."
W: "Hey, that hurt my feelings. All one of them."
M: "Fuck off."
:v:
It's these rare hilarious conversations that keep me from thinking having a split mind is actually a bad thing.
I had a fucking horrible dream last night. My girlfriend cheated on me with this douchebag who treated her like shit in the dream and I woke up in a panic. I class it as a nightmare. Fuck.

No need to get worked up over a nightmare.
