It's all fun and games until a friend slits their wrists after losing the ability to distinguish between imagination and reality. It really makes me wonder what I might have done differently... even if he is doing better now. ... I don't expect people to actually believe what you said, I'm just saying I find it devoid of all potential for humor. Maybe it's just me... thing is, I have an actual reason for feeling that way. Do you have an actual reason for finding it funny? ...look, I enjoy trolling, just... that just rubs me the wrong way is all. Sorry for snapping at you... but I'd do it again. Grrr ambivalence grrr
I don't get the first sentence. My reason is the way you react. Sort of like, unintended successful trolling. Unless you were talking about what I said, no, I didn't find it funny. I was actually just bored and decided to type that up, and then watch how people react. [sp]I also don't get your last sentence[/sp] [sp]Seriously.[/sp]
wow, I "woke up" in my dream, and I was like, ok I just need to picture something and start to fall back asleep, but little did I know I was dreaming the whole time. I mean I knew that I was "almost" dreaming, but stupidly I didn't realize that I was definitely fully dreaming.

[sp]I also don't get your last sentence[/sp] [sp]Seriously.[/sp]
I reacted because a friend of mine attempted suicide. It sucked. And when I say 'Ambivalence', it means I have mixed feelings. I understand that you just posted that to get a reaction, and I appreciate the sentiment (because I also troll), but at the same time, for partially unexplainable reasons, what you typed up there makes me sick to my stomach. Which is stupid because I'm falling right into your trap by reacting so strongly, but I feel like I'd be betraying my sense of honor if I just let it go. ...in any case, I've posted enough on this, it's not anything to do with Sleep or Dreams, and things like these tend to continue until stopped, so I'm stopping. And to reinforce this, a sleep/dreams comment: A guy I've been in contact with has recently been going to sleep then waking up curled up like a dog. He also has been having dreams about being a dog. If I understand correctly, this seems like it will be temporary, and he's not a furry or anything... has just had dogs on his mind. I think this is cool, what do others think?
Holy shit drama ending before it starts. This is truly a special place on the internet. Anyways, K and I have pretty much evened out. Lucids regularly and awesome dreams even more so. This is the good life.
Wrote this long ago, and I'm too lazy to rewrite it, so I took it in Google translate. The dream began in any way that I can not remember. I was on the Maxi with my dad and then we went home. On the way home shook the ground, I looked out the window and what looked like a cross between a V2: a (1939) and a space rocket flew horizontally across the city. But all of a sudden it turned and went diagonally down towards the city at high speed. The day after I went to school. For some reason, my old employer there. I asked if she had seen the "rocket" and she said yes and described what had happened. She had been in town and acted, it was a road block some distance toward the center. Lots of people standing there. She went and joined. (When she told me I dreamed through her eyes). Suddenly the ground shook a lot and the rocket crashed down into the ground. It was very much ash and sparks. Then I saw with dismay three people, probably pilots, who rolled to get rid of the fire. Two of them stopped burning and tried to help it last, who for some reason had something that looked like a giant fire extinguisher over them, and was almost dead. All of a sudden it disappeared, the two that did not burn ran away. But the last was on the ground and stretched his hand towards them, he screamed. Then he was sucked into the rocket and you could hear a hacking sound. And there I woke up.
i dreamed about being girl same dream everyday

I had a friend who committed suicide months ago, and last week, me and my friends visited his memorial grounds, where he was cremated. I understand how it feels. Try reminding your friend that there are people who cherish him dearly. [editline]24th August 2011[/editline] It doesn't matter what background he came from. He's never alone. There will always be people would be delighted to be with him, such as you.
School started and I'm taking a class about dreams and the subconscious. setting the curve, bitch
class about dreams and the subconscious.
Are you serious? That sounds awesome, wish I'd have had that.
School started and I'm taking a class about dreams and the subconscious. setting the curve, bitch
Im taking High School psychology this year, and there is a chapter on dreams and altered states of conciseness. That's gonna be my favorite part. So, I sort of know that feel.
Are you serious? That sounds awesome, wish I'd have had that.
Yeah, it's pretty cool. I'm taking a ridiculous course load this year. Classical Mythology, Astronomy, Philosophy, Social Psychology, AND my dream class thing. There's a GREAT paper written by Carl Jung (my favorite psychologist) about the unconscious and dreams and dream signs and symbology and stuff like that. I'll try to find it online and link it to you guys, it's worth reading even if it's a bit complicated.
I've been ill the whole first week of school! ._.
yaaaaaay reading material
Couldn't find a readable copy (every result is a paper about his book someone wrote), but if you have time and patience, here's the audio version. It's like 15 parts, but if you have time and don't mind the quality it's a great read (or listen, I suppose).
The last time I had an LD, one of the characters decided to play a very engaging game involving tossing stick grenades at me. I lost lucidity almost immediately. I'm pretty sure I know what that means :v:
I wanna get back into lucid dreaming, it was fun trying last year :)
I still have terrible recall yet I seem to be semi-lucid in many dreams now. I know about all the things I can do if it were a lucid dream, yet I don't know I'm dreaming.
My most recent dream had to do with one of my best friends stabbing me in the spinal cord and killing me. The horrible thing is I could actually feel myself getting stabbed and dying.
I recently had a dream where I woke up in my bed to the sound of a thunder crack, but it didn't stop like normal thunder, it kept on rumbling. So I got out of my bed and looked out the window, only to see dark clouds parting to reveal a red sky and a small yellow sun with a white streak of lightning constantly lit up in the sky pointing straight at the sun. I was pretty freaked out when I woke up.

woah what the fuck I did the nose pinch thing in a dream and I was in control, but I couldn't change the environment or anything, and felt as if I was waking up. It was a false awakening, and I thought that it was since I did another nose pinch. However, it worked as normal, I couldn't breathe in, but I was still dreaming
fucking shit I did my laundry in my dream and I woke up and I still had to do my laundry
I woke up at exactly 7:59 this morning, due to being punched in the arm in a dream hard enough to wake me up. 8:00 is when I leave for school. I was drifting off back to sleep when I thought wasn't supposed to. I instantly had a dream where I was riding my minibike while holding onto a rope tied to a pickup truck and the truck was pulling me around. I fell into a crater and fell off the minibike without letting go of the rope.I heard the rope whip and saw the side of the crater zoom toward me. I felt it hit me straight on and was instantly awake. 90 seconds had passed. I told K "Fine, I'll get up and go to school." I got dressed and headed toward the door, when I realized it was saturday. Damnit K you grubby little troll I'm going back to sleep. And I did. And I had so mini dreams I can't even remember most of them. [editline]27th August 2011[/editline] K just forced me to do a wbtb.

K is Birdman's sub. Also, the nose trick, among a lot of other reality checks, can be unreliable at times. Nothing beats logic, sometimes.
meh, I never really use reality checks. When I do try them either they dont work or I end up messing up the entire dream that otherwise would have been completely awesome.
When I was 6; I remember having a lucid-like dream where I was in a hallway that looked like my apartment's small hallway(though; stretched out like a nightmare hallway). I snapped out, awake, legs/arms spread out; in my own hallway. :v: I think I got raped
