Question! Is it progress with trying to achieve lucid dreaming when I am able to recall my dreams better and more accurate than before?
I would greatly appreciate an answer to my question from you fine gentlemen here :unsmith:
nope dream memory is a totally separate thing you can remember a dream with absolute detail like a 10 number passcode but not be able to lucid dream its because lucid dreaming is consciousness in a dream, not recall i would know because its from experience
Had to wait 12 hours to get an answer, but thank you for finally answering my question! :buddy: Are there any pro tip that you can give me? Any personal tricks that you do to achieve lucid dream for example.
I would greatly appreciate an answer to my question from you fine gentlemen here :unsmith:
Sorry for late reply. Looking at my own dream journal, DILD occurs usually when your dream recall is at its high. Record your dreams every chance you get.
I'm always interested in travelling towards Orion's belt when I'm astral projecting, because the pyramids of Giza are perfectly aligned to guide you there in that state of being. But why should I follow a path set by someone else? Could be a trap, unless it was their own path to get back to some place. And who knows how close I can get and still be able to come back?
Sounds interesting. I'm going to pretend I understood every word you said and reply to it appropriately. It is the fact that builders are the stars expected to challenge the end when we destroy the destroyer caught Management Program.
i just wish your posts would make more sense then going straight to the point with no explanation
I tend to leave out the process I go through to get to a certain point of thought, and then just post without explaining why I put it that way. I can elaborate whenever though. Well, I'd try lucid dreaming right now but it's already 7:44AM and I haven't slept, so looks like I gotta wait till later tonight. [editline]4th April 2011[/editline]
It is the fact that builders are the stars expected to challenge the end when we destroy the destroyer caught Management Program.
This almost made sense. Management Program is contagious?
I destroyed my dream diary, I think I fucked my mind up over the past few months due to it.
I did that once when my dream jornal was 3 pages. Burned them. I thought the symbolism might help, but it fucked over my recall for weeks.
Dumb/late question incoming How does eating cinnamon have an effect on your sleep? I recall something about it playing a role of some sort, but I can't remember :smith: [editline]4th April 2011[/editline] Disregard my question, found out by reading a few pages back. On another note, what do you actually write in you dream journal besides the fact that you describe the dream you had? Do you write down what you did before sleep and see if you can find a certain pattern to your dreams?
Like magic, I had another dream last night, so expect an incoming of food-anatomy analogies. I was at my school, pretty much in the middle. I heard over the loudspeakers around the school that someone had run through the office without clothes on. As I walked towards the street at the edge of my school, I saw random people walking around without clothes on, kibble-and-bits, honeydews, and bananas were everywhere (but not as many bananas). One of them had red hair and was carrying a messenger bag, she had the same slightly unrealistic kibble-and-bits I see in all dreams for some reason. When I got to the street, one of my acquaintances was with me, and my mom said she would give us a ride. She promptly drove us around the corner, dropping us back at the school, less than 100 feet from where we were. My acquaintance disappeared into the black fog, and I stated walking again. I passed the red haired girl again (I think she had someone with her, but she was mostly consumed by the black fog). I found several people I assume I knew, and they showed me a flier about going nude for charity. I kept walking to my unknown destination. While walking, I looked down at my legs. I was wearing a pair of those thin sports shorts, and my banana had become unripe. I attempted to obscure my unclean fruit as I continued on. I finally reached a section of grass, where my next class was (I don't know why they weren't just in the classroom 10 feet away). I think I know who the teacher was, but they, like the redhead's friend, were in the black fog. I looked down again, and saw that my unripe banana had leaked some yogurt, which had seeped through the shorts. My attempts at wiping it off where unsuccessful, so I just sat down. Then a strange girl I know wanted to know what was up with the yogurt, and decided to get some with her finger and eat it. I was pretty disgusted and woke up.
So after 4 years of trying, I finally nabbed a lucid. It was amazing. I kept waking up and falling asleep, each time arriving in a dreamscape and ripping it open, so as to head to my subconscious. It was shaped much like saturn with some giant satellites around it. I went to one, and found 2 birds sitting on a platform. They introduced themselves as my subconscious, green and purple. I seized the opportunity and asked them what my key to being happy was. They showed me a woman. I said: "Do you think i'm lonely? I have lots of friends! Why would I be lonely?" I wish I hadn't said that. In response, they looked at me, and said: "We don't THINK you're lonely. We know it." Terribly depressing. Also, is the deep subconscious just a black void for anyone else or just me?

No, I'm just happy to see you :smug: [editline]4th April 2011[/editline]
Also, is the deep subconscious just a black void for anyone else or just me?
Yup, there's an ever-present black fog in all of my dreams, probably my subconscious messing with me. I had a bit of a conversation with my subconscious throughout my day, it started when he started singing Sweet Home Alabama when I was a test. I started asking him to stop, so he asked if he could play the guitar solo. After he finished, he started singing quietly again. He stopped for a while and started sing Brick House or whatever it's called. I asked him why he was singing this, and he told that I'm a prison where he never gets to go outside, only ever punching through quickly healing walls and making me write random things while writing. He bothered me a bit later in the day too. Am I talking to my subconscious, or am I crazy? :ohdear:

You should feel bad for yourself and give yourself another, happier LD as recompense, so as to not dissuade you from further LDing. *Ahem hint hint* Oh, and black voids seem to be pretty common, especially the deeper you go, because... well, I guess it just sort of makes sense? I mean, especially in meditation anyways, since the most powerful zen states are achieved by being devoid of thought. Or something.
I had a bit of a conversation with my subconscious throughout my day, it started when he started singing Sweet Home Alabama when I was (sic) a test. I started asking him to stop, so he asked if he could play the guitar solo. After he finished, he started singing quietly again. Am I talking to my subconscious, or am I crazy? :ohdear:
In response to your question: Yes. :smug: If he's distracting you from important stuff, just let him know that you really need to apply yourself fully to your work, and that if he really wants to he should mess with you at a better time. Of course, this works best if you actually try to follow through with your promise, so make some time to let loose every once in awhile. Y'know, let him out of his cage. He'll appreciate it. So I'm interested now. What sort of stuff does he write? What sort of stuff does he do to you? You weren't hearing the music out loud, were you? I'm getting the nagging feeling that my subconscious is looking for some suggestions... :frog:
I don't know how to respond to that :v:
I would be worried if I was having conversations like that....in my head !
haven't LDed in a while, I give up hope after around 5 weeks of trying in a row
I had my first semi-lucid dream ever the other night. I knew I was dreaming but I couldn't control my surroundings like I wanted to. I ended up running around in a Minecraft world. (Does that mean I'm Autistic?) But it was awesome while it lasted. I wish I could Lucid Dream better.

Hes trying to get me to get more sleep by holding my dreams hostage. Most of the time he only lets me remember dreams if I get 8 hours of sleep. [editline]5th April 2011[/editline] Today he told me "Someone is denying their heart for love more than you deny your heart for knowledge" [editline]5th April 2011[/editline] Translation, anyone? Zin?

I already got my girlfriend. And thats kinda the opposite of what I got from it. Still, waiting for a professional opinion.
I guess i should try to summon my sub next time i go lucid?
"Someone is denying their heart for love more than you deny your heart for knowledge"
To me, that sounds like "You could be worse, do your homework and stop chasing girls."
I slept like 9 hours last night, but had some interruptions while sleeping that made it difficult to remember my dreams. In my first, less memorable dream, I think I was looking at the map in Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga :v: In my second dream, I was in some sort of prison, and I'm pretty sure that there were the aliens from Crysis 2 walking around. There was a bridge with no middle or something, everything was super high-tech looking. I tried walking over to the bridge while some other people kept walking, then I got sucked into some sort of sepia-toned robot simulation where the year was 1910 and later 1911, but the robots were modern. Eventually I woke up.
To me, that sounds like "You could be worse, do your homework and stop chasing girls."
Oh wow
[editline]5th April 2011[/editline] Today he told me "Someone is denying their heart for love more than you deny your heart for knowledge" [editline]5th April 2011[/editline] Translation, anyone? Zin?
Hm... well it depends on how you group the 'for stuff' stuff; is it your 'heart (passion?) for knowledge', or is it denying it 'for knowledge'? I disagree that the 'someone' is yourself, though, so I wouldn't translate it to be about you and your relationship. Though it could be your gf, I suppose... hmm. Someone you care about anyways, since you wouldn't care enough unless you cared. And I can't get over the idea that 'heart' is really about, like, inner passions or something, in which case the message would be that someone is repressing their feelings to stay with someone, and likewise you are putting aside feelings so as to get a better understanding of the world. This is probably a more convoluted interpretation, but after all this is just what I feel reading this. Also blaaghgowaiwuoqpapkmznbzxcbvnm I need sleep
Hopefully psychology lessons are actually going to help me understand a bit more about how the mind works, so that I can recognize that whilst trying to LD. My psychology class is full of dumbasses who chose it because they thought it'd help you manipulate minds and shit though.
To me, that sounds like "You could be worse, do your homework and stop chasing girls."
damn. Guess you were right, geo.
To me, that sounds like "You could be worse, do your homework and stop chasing girls."
I disagree, if it says that he is denying his heart for love more than his heart for knowledge, that he should go for the girl.

I had this incredibly strange dream where my grandfather was holding this dude at gunpoint, and he started reciting some poem or rhyme or something, and after every line he shot the guy in different places, going from the right knee to the left, and then both ankles. And then suddenly he turned it on me and shot me in the right testicle. There was a huge amount more to it, but for all of today my right testicle's been feeling really tender and painful and I'm just wondering if anybody else has experienced dream pain becoming real pain before. :frown:
Did you get dumb people who did it because they thought they'd be able to read minds and shit
No. The "dumb" people were just in there for an easy credit. Weren't they surprised. My friend was already into reading peoples emotions based on body language and whatnot; he got a little better from that class.
