blah blah blah mythology blah blah blah
I always love reading about your dreams because they, most of the time, seem to have some genuine quality, meaning, or at least substance to them. All I did last night was dream about a game called, "Tom Clancy's Kitchen Warfare."

that's more due to my bizarrely detailed recall than my dream content, i bet.
My dream recall is the same as my normal memory recall
Absolutely terrible
Finally had another lucid dream, also I think I may have made an interesting discovery.
Dream first:
I'm in my kitchen, lucid from the beginning of the dream. I do a few things, including making explosions, telekinesis, etc., and I finally figure out how to fly; I 'hit spacebar' twice (damn you Minecraft and your stupid control scheme, seriously, who the FUCK wants to double-tap w to sprint or spacebar to fly?), though it's more like walking on air. I think that next time I'll try to fuck with the physics of it and see if I can't get it Iron-Man style (if not, I'll just summon an Iron-Man suit =3)
Discovery:
I did not use MILD, WILD, FILD, WBTB, or any method I've seen. I lay down in bed, and asked my subconscious "Can I have a lucid dream, please?" I fell asleep, and the first (and only) dream I remember is the lucid dream, which I was lucid in without RCs or anything. I think that my sub gave me the lucid because I asked for it instead of trying to force it (and this kinda makes sense, as I don't like having something forced upon me or being exploited). Gonna try it again tonight and hope it works. If it does, I'm gonna try to summon my sub and mess with dream physics.

It would be extremely awesome if you could do that every time :v:
I had a weird dream last night. I've been studying hard for my Mythology midterm, and it leaked into my dreams.
Basically the idea was, some crazy old archeologist/historian builds an altar in honor of Athene (or Athena, to most of you) in his basement, attempting to reenact old Greek rituals to add some authenticity to his latest paper. In an odd turn of events, Athene appears rather suddenly in his basement. Confusion ensues, and Athene explains to the old dude that when the temples were all destroyed by sieges and floods and various other problems, the gods lost their ability to physically enter the realm of humans and were stuck up in Olympus twiddling their thumbs. I guess altars are like the entry point or something.
Unfortunately, this surprising revelation killed the old guy and her entry destroyed the altar, so now Athene's stuck in the present. I think she wanted to both get back to Olympus to report her findings, as well as start opening up ways for the other gods to get through too. So she assimilates into society, trying to figure it out.
Not sure what happened next, but I woke up. I do like the idea, though...I may explore this further. Maybe start writing it out.
Sounds like a good idea for a book
Going to try and lucid dream tonight. I guess I'll try and ask my subconscious for a lucid dream. I haven't been able to dream lately sadly.
I wish I could meet my sub sooner. I'm guessing it has it planned out, and trying to summon it (or anything) never works. I'm gonna keep trying until I definitely know it doesn't want to be summoned.
So, any advice on summoning objects in general?
i dreamed it was the end of the world
i wont be able to sleep anymore
So for a while now, I've been having this recurring dream, and was wondering if any of you know what it means. I'm at school, and some guy is just generally being an asshole, so I start to tell him to fuck off and he wants to fight me. But when I go to punch him, my arm moves really slowly through the air, like I'm moving in water. My "punch" connects, but since my arm is going so slowly it does nothing and he beats the shit out of me. Once I wake up, I usually have to punch the air a few times, to convince myself I can still punch.
K is mad at me.
He says I am breaking memories.
I have no idea what he means.

My sub once texted me in a dream and it said "you're dreaming bro."
I had my first lucid dream last night. I was at some store and a guy was playing piano outside, which struck me as odd. I must've done a reality check at that point, because I realized all of it wasn't real. I could run and control my actions to a certain degree. I suppose I didn't achieve full lucidity in that sense. Then, I remember being frightened by something (Possibly just that feeling you get when you know a dream is a nightmare), and then trying to kill myself to wake up.
I jumped off of a building IIRC and had a false awakening. I went to my computer, as usual, and did a reality check. I looked in the bottom corner to check the clock; it kept changing. I then counted off my fingers, and realized both of the checks failed, so I was dreaming. I don't remember much past that besides actually waking up at 3:15am when I had an alarm set for 10pm.
IT HAD BEEN GOING OFF FOR 4 HOURS.
I have only one re-occuring dream. It's where, if I concentrate really hard on something, I can move it with my mind. I know it sounds stupid, but I always have to try a few times before I wake up to make sure that I still can't do it. I think I have this re-occuring dream due to my strong desire to be unique and better that other people.
Having a semi-sexual dream about someone you know and are not involved with makes it so awkward to talk to them the next day.
Anybody know how to get dreams rolling again?
Well, now I suppose my sub thinks I'm not worthy.
I dreamed last night that I was at a karate academy in Northern Michigan. I had trained for 9 years, and now was the sparring test with visiting Japanese masters. Numerous people are defeated in a line in front of me. Then, one of the more distinct masters (actually, he was the only one who was recognizable, the rest were sort of fuzzy and in the background) pointed at me and yelled. I grabbed my sword and entered in an intense battle. The master looked like every other standard Hollywood karate master; 80ish with a ponytail of bleach white hair and a beard. He was much better than me at swordfighting and I ended up on the floor with my weapon 40 ft away. He then bent down and whispered to me, "Better luck tomorrow night. Time to wake up," and he said my full real life name. Then he killed me with his own sword almost instantaneously and I woke up.
Dammit.
Anybody know how to get dreams rolling again?
I had just got my recall rolling again, the best I can say is just give yourself a minute or two when you wake up to just let things come to you. And sometimes I find myself having something in real life jog my memory enough for my recall to kick in, so keep that in mind too.
Yesterday I flipped my 300+ pound dirt bike over on top of me going down a hill, so I feel like shit. I had some fever dream-ish dreams last night.
In one of them my cat died and I had to bury him.
The sad part is he was his by a car yesterday and I actually do have to bury him today :smith:
i dreamed the movie 2012 went real
oh god my mind
Anybody know how to get dreams rolling again?
At first, try to use mantras. Tell yourself, "I will remember my dreams," and you will.
Write down the fragments, every single detail you can remember.
Sounds like a good idea for a book
I've thought about it a bit, and it would be difficult to come up with a plausible story. I might just make it a short story or something when I have time, I do like the idea.

You dream every night, it's inevitable (with a few exceptions, but I doubt you have a life threatening fever right now). Just work on your recall, that's what matters.
When you wake up, just lay in bed and wait. If you have deja vu-esque flashbacks, that's probably recall.
Mind you, it won't all come back at once or in the morning. usually my recall kicks in like 5+ hours after I wake up. :v
Wow, it has been a while since I have been on this thread(lurking mostly).
On an unrelated note, has anyone here seen Paprika?
Yeah
I'm glad that's not real
So, posting here before I forget; last night I had a dream where I was making some food on an open-air countertop with someone else (I believe it was supernoodles and sugar puffs) and then there was a crescendo event of zombies Left 4 Dead style, and then I ran down lanes and shit that where supposed to be the ones around where I live but where changed dramatically to fit the tone.
Oh yeah and then the tone shifted to that of War of the Worlds.
DREAMS ON THE NIGHT OF MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 26
Numero uno:
For some reason, my house was a secret base thing (probably because I asked my sub [whom I am calling G] to make my house
my dream base of operations) in some form of nuclear wasteland (there was a massive swamp in my backyard with
hypnotoads). I have a few allies in the base with me. I tell one to look around for anything that might be useful (this could be
for one of two reasons; 1. We just arrived at the base and need supplies, or 2. When I play games like Fallout, if I find any
item that has any form of use at all, I take it habitually). We look around the swamp, and it gets blurry, then I remember him
like falling into the water or something.
Numero dos:
I'm in front of my house now (I know this is a seperate dream because the atmosphere is different; instead of having a murky
feel to everything, it's now a comforting... I guess orange would be the best way to describe it. Orange is nice =3). I look around
and from down the street I see a big yellow submarine coming at me. I freak out and run into my house (for some reason
the stairs up onto the porch were on the side instead of in front of the house), and when I get onto the porch, I realize
that I'm dreaming. I rub my hands to stabilize, do my RC's (which are nose pinches and teeth barriers), and walk past my sister
who is on the bench on my porch reading. I go into my house, and there's like a party going on. The people included my family
members (i.e. cousins, brother, mom, etc.) and some of my teachers (some of them weren't even mine, but I still knew them).
I go to the nearest person (who happens to be a teacher) and ask her "Excuse me, do you know where G is?" She looks at me and
replies "G'll be down in a minute," while pointing at the staircase. I watch the stairs for a moment; more family members (all
cousins) come down, and then a little kid falls head-over-heels down (looking back at this, it was hilarious). Kid's alpha though,
he just gets up like a boss and goes into the kitchen (with like half of his face missing) for a band-aid. I asked him "Um.... are
you G?" (I was really hoping that G would take some cool form, and I was worried that he/she might have taken this stupid form for some reason) He says "Nope." The dream ends.
Lucid dream, only a few minutes ago.
This has been my most realistic one yet, now complete with over-lighting! (All my others have been fullbright, it's a pet peeve of mine)
I even thought to myself about how it felt so real, and I knew that I would not remember this nearly as well. This seems to have made it easier to remember.
Just after I finished the thought, it began collapsing. This is such a weird, disturbing feeling, it's not like Inception.
I tried spinning and rubbing my hands together, but it didn't fucking work.
I'm sad and happy now.
My first lucid dream-like experience. I guess i have to call it like that because here`s what happened: while I was dreaming, I became lucid, jsut enough to tell myself "oh yea, a lucid dream" and then I lost control. Well, atleast I had a 10seconds of feeling how it is.
I had a dream that I was a samurai-monk in post-nazi Norway. I went into some mountain shrine and fought 4 spirits to obtain the power of earth, fire, wind and water. I wonder what that means :v:
