Anyone here who succesfully did/does WILD has some tips ?
As of recent, I'd just like say my dream recall has been a bit messed up lately. Note that I'm not actually attempting lucid dreaming or have been recording any dreams for a long while. And I mean like, months. My dream recall is messed up, not in the sense that I don't recall probably, but in the horrific sense that they blend in with my normal memories and sort of become like, false memories. So far, it hasn't been affecting me much mainly cause they feel recent or illusive, but it takes a while to figure it out. Just another note; I'm an amnesiac. I'm worried, the false memories just scare me; they seem real... [editline]7th October 2011[/editline] [sp]The ending was for dramatic effect. I'm just wondering how to deal with it, in case if it ever does fool me. :\[/sp]
That's happened to me before to. The first time it happened I didn't know what to do and was super confused, but after it happened for like the tenth time I realized that somehow I could tell the difference. It also helps when it did happen for the tenth time my sub-conscience came to me in the dream and said, "I'm sorry for making you confused. So I would like to make it up to you by sorting these things out or more importantly your memories that you think are real. I make the new ones have a certain edge to them so you don't get confused anymore." I then said, "Thanks, so I should have no more problems with memory?" "Sure, maybe. You may have a little bit of amnesia, but it should be cured." I was like, "What?" Then the dream was over. I had no problems with the false and normal memories after that, however I do have a bit of amnesia or I just became a little bit forgetful. For some reason I think my Sub's an asshole.
Last night's dream was filled with plot again. I was the son of a king, living on planet Bodrum. Because the king was my father, I was appointed the squad leader of planetary defence squad #2 and made a General Major. There were two squads defending the planet overall, both with around 20 warriors. We were at war with another planet whose name I can't remember, but they used red mechs while ours were black. Yeah, there were mech battles. Our weapons were blue energy beams and hand to hand combat (fuck yeah). We were fighting over a mineral called Bodrium that was found on the orbit of our planet. It was important for some reason. Anyways. We landed on a nearby planet with the King and squad #2. We had a massive battle against the red mechs (who we called "women"), and when we left the King refused to take me onboard his transport shuttle. He told me he needed me in important affairs and if someone shot down the shuttle it'd be bad. Eventually me and the King were alone at a canyon-area on Bodrum. He challenged me to a training duel. He was a super skilled guy, he was kicking my ass at hand to hand mech combat, until I managed to slip a grenade in a notch in his torso. It exploded and disabled his mech. The king looked incredibly surprised. He called me to him, unable to move, and started telling me a story. First he asked me, in a voice which was if like he had difficulties talking, "Do.. you know how many children I have?" I say, "no" "29." At this point I realize what a pimp he is, holy shit. He then continues, his voice is getting more broken by the minute. "Do you know how my last child fought... he attacked me for 25 minutes and then I defeated him with a single blow.. but you.. you forced me to attack for 35 minutes and I was defeated in the end.. there's a prophecy that was once told to me. "Wait for the 29th child to claim your throne". Seems it was right.. *coughes blood*" I realize the grenade I had set had also mortally wounded the King and he was going to die soon. "You're... the new... King now.." And then he died. Right after that, I saw several ambulances arrive, with cyborgs jumping out and asking if his heart is beating, if he is breathing, I tried to do CPR but failed. The dream jumps to the next day. I see my squadmates mourning over his death, everyone is. The markings on my shoulder pads have changed from two stripes to three, indicating I was the King. I woke up crying. Along the dream, there was a side-story of me having a secret relationship with a squadmate who was a hot chick, which continued over the course of the dream, between important plot points.
I have false memories all the time. Most of the time I can't tell if I'm remembering a dream from a long time ago, or if the memory is fake. Also, my sub once accused me of "breaking memories"
Aye~ I'll talk to my sub(myself) about it. [editline]8th October 2011[/editline] A bit creepy though.

Why do you always have cool space robot dreams? :( I never get those.
Why do my dreams always involve sex?
you're going through puberty
There's like eight different interpretations going on in this thing but they're all wrong so I'm not going to say anything. Why do you always have cool space robot dreams? :( I never get those.
I don't believe in interpretations so it's all fine :v:
Ah, holy shit, just woke up, this was my dream: So, this was another normal day, going to school and shit, but this time the school had a strike so I walked around the school ( I remember that I was still wearing sandals ), climbed up and entered it, then it all suddenly changed where I was walking with three friends and somehow, I could "delete" them from my world, and generally everybody and I started fapping. That's all I remember.
I've never tossed and turned in my bed, And I'm a very quiet sleeper. I've also never had a nightmare, Ever. Does this mean anything? Sorry if this sounds weird. I can't really word it proper.
I had my 4th lucid last night! I was talking about dreaming (in my dream), and thinking about dreaming, and I think I was even posting on facepunch about dreaming. Then I was like "hey I keep thinking about dreaming, maybe I'm in a dream?" so I do a dream check and I am. I stand up on my bed and everything around me was flashing crazily. I was scared that something would get out of my control, but I just remained focused. At times there was a reflection of myself in front of me, which was good, because it helped me realize that not all dream reflections are scary. Anyway in order to avoid this weird flashing state, I just decided to take off right through the ceiling. So I did. And I started flying around, slowly at first, but I kept telling myself it was only slow because I was high up (like an airplane looks slow form it). When I went lower, I was actually going pretty fast. After a little bit I felt like I might be losing lucidity, so I landed and looked around, and rubbed my hands together, and smelled the air. Then I was like "What can I do in this dream?" and for some reason the first idea I got was to whip my dick out and start peeing in public. This was dumb because the instant I did, I "woke up" needing to pee. It was a false awakening, but I didn't know that. I looked outside my window, and instead of the sky being bright blue like in my lucid part of the dream, it was grey. The weird thing is that in real life I always leave my blinds down, so that would be impossible. I asked my sister and she said it was the late afternoon, which sorta sucked because I couldn't go back to sleep and try again. Then I talked about my dream with her, and a little bit through I was like "oh I should check to see if this is a false awakening" I never ended up checking though, and I eventually woke up for real It was actually 3:50 AM (I went to sleep at 1:00), which really surprised me. I got up to pee then went back asleep for another few hours of dreaming, but none of them were lucid. It was pretty cool!
Today, I have preformed a DEILD. I was just walking around during the afternoon and thought I could pull it off, and I took a seat. Then that's when it happened. Ok, here's the dream: I was walking on some battlefield - like a warzone form the middle ages - in the middle of some battle with knights and skeletons. I looked at myself and I had armor on, like full plate mail, with a dragon on the chest for a symbol. I also had an awesome sword and shield, the sword had lighting arcing across the blade and the shield had this dark-light aura around it. Then by examining the armor I noticed that it radiated a magical light. And some how in the dream I knew that the shield could block anything, the sword could shoot lighting, and the armor could destroy the evil in any human's heart. Then a knight charged at me yelling, "You traitor, why did you do this to us!" He swung his claymore at me and I dodged it. Then I asked him, "What did I ever do to you?" He answered, "Let the undead army in our world. They should be in the ground!" "I didn't let them in here.", I said with a clueless voice. "Well then who did?", the soldier said. That's when a lich rose up from the middle of the field and said, "Yo, BITCH!! Yeah, Zernbrog (he actually called me that) I'm gonna fuck your shit up!" The soldier looked up and started to panic. He ran away like a pussy, while I stood my ground as the lich charged at me. The lich drew his sword at me. as soon as that happened I gained full control. I decided to spice this battle up and let it run wild. I summoned angels from the sky to do battle with the undead. As they started pouring out of the sky I charged the lich, shooting out lighting from the blade. The lich recoiled from the lighting saying or muttering so gibberish. A beam of fire shot from his hand at me. I backhanded the beam with my shield. I sliced at the lich with my sword of lighting and I could smell the smell of burning, rotten flesh. He was separated into two clean halves. As he died the skeletons sunk back into the ground. I also dismissed the angels. The same soldier, that ran away, came and told me, "Thank You great warrior. I wish we could spare some of the spoils of war with you, but times are tough." I said, "Dude, it's okay. Don't worry about me, I'll be fine." "I wish we could repay you pr-" "Wheres your guys' castle?" "What?" "Your castle. You know with the stone and shit. It usually has a- Fuck it, I fly there." I flew in some random direction, going like a million km/h. Then I found the castle with the princess already out by the drawbridge. She was yelling, but I can't remember what she was saying. I flew down and took a good look at her. She was so beautiful, words can't even describe her. I took her in my arms and was about to kiss here as I held her. I was like an cm or two from kissing her when I woke up. My mom woke me up saying we had to get going and she was worried that I had blacked out. I tried to explain to her what I was trying to do. She told me I was crazy and needed consoling. She also said that, "that kind of dreaming can't ever happen."
I believe I met my sub in a chain of 3 dreams. It kinda looked like Azelf from the pokemon series..although it didn't say anything, it just kinda smiled, and held out a paw to me. How freaky :v:
~Epic dream involving an assortment of interesting things~
I wish my dreams were as amazing as yours seem to be. I hardly even remember mine. :<
I had this badass dream last night where I was in World of Warcraft, as if it was real, vivid as hell, and it was like a fps, kind of. The WoW combat system was gone completely, and replaced with a first person shooter kind of system. I felt everything in the dream, but in my right hand I felt my mouse, and on my left hand I felt my keyboard, namely the wasd keys. I could switch weapons instantly with the mouse wheel and the mouse used the best motion controls I had ever seen. I was playing as my old character, Grigrori, the undead hunter. I had a wooden longbow and a sword. The sword was about an inch and a half wide, 3/4 inch thick, and 3-4 feet long. The handle was ornate and decorated, but still comfortable and perfectly balanced. The physics of the sword was completely impossible. It was lightweight enough to be extremely maneuverable, but when I swung it it had way more momentum than possible for its speed and weight. The blade of the sword was serrated, like a saw, excect for the tip, which was as smooth as glass. The bow was as easy to pull back as a compound bow, but was stronger than a recurve bow. Part of it felt like Spiral Knights, in that if I held the bow back or the sword up long enough, it would get stronger and start glowing like enchanted stuff in minecraft. I was sprinting through a dense rainforest in the middle of the night with my group trailing behind. Every so often, I would come across a small clearing with a demonic looking gremlin thing sitting in the middle. I would draw back my bow, shoot it in the stomach, then sprint up to it and backslash halfway through its neck and keep running. This would happen about six times. Every time the gremlin was in view, there was a small red icon above its head. There was a green icon above my groupmates heads. Eventually I ran into a large clearing. We all stopped in the middle, wondering if there was upposed to be something there. I heard something brush through the leaves to the side. At this point I was feeling extremely jacked up on adrenaline, and started seeing things. I thought I saw something run past. Somebody else saw it too. There was absolutely no light, except from a little bit of pale light from the moon. I pulled out my bow and started shooting at anything that moved or made a sound. I ignored my teammates telling me I was going to run out of arrows, and I ran out of arrows. I pulled out my sword and took a defensive stance. After what seemed like an hour, something finally snapped. I felt so alive I could feel dust settling on my bones (Mind you, I was a skeleton), I could know what everyone else was thinking. We were all thinking the same thing. I looked foreward, straight into a pair of flaming white eyes in the bush. Our eyes met, and it charged at me. It took quick swipes, and ran away. From what I saw of it, it looked like a mix between a redead from Zelda: OOT and one of the zombies from Quarantine. It had white eyes that poured out white flame. I fought back by using its own tactics, because I couldn't get a good hit on it. Finally, we were both tired out, and it was running to the side, not looking at me. I ran at it and stabbed it shallowly, and kept running, It turned and looked at me one last time. It was different. It looked like a look of remorse, yet pride. It was congratulating me for beating it. I kept running until It hit a fence. the blade went all the way through. It died, and a midget dwarf thing popped up on the other side of the fence, grabbed both sides of the monster, and ripped it apart, smiling.
badass space robot stuff
Been playing some space marines lately, have we?
Epic shit
Wow that sounds awesome as hell, but that sucks about your mom. Also, what RC do you guys find the most reliable. I've had some success with the finger-through-hand but last time I did it I somehow became aware of the dream, but failed to achieve lucidity. Any tips for me?
Very, on another note..are you named Elias in real life..and work as a teacher? Cause, my real life teacher, is from America, he lived in Georgia, teaches me and is interested in LDing o_0. Edit: Oblivious, that's strange.
Haha nope, but that is pretty strange. :v: Tonight I'm testing the CANWILD technique. Basically you set a custom alarm to wake yourself up after around 4-6 hours of sleep, and without moving you just focus on any dream entering technique. SP and HI is supposed to come on more naturally since your body hasn't moved. Also the alarm should auto-snooze after 3-10 seconds.

Tongue through teeth. Face through wall. Look at a clock, turn away, look again. Different numbers, most likely. Flip light switch, light won't turn on. Not as reliable. Count your fingers. usually the numbers are off on your non-dominant hand. Once you've gone lucid a reasonable amount of times, you can sort of...feel it. Most of us (or at least me, probably Orkel too) don't need to do RCs anymore. Once you become aware of the dream, first you need to stop whatever you're doing and just look at your hands. Move them reasonably close to your face and focus on them. Everything will be kind of blurry and then it will focus. Once it focuses, you'll realize just how ridiculous imaginary senses are. Everything is awesome. At that point, just have fun. if it's your first couple of times, try not to go crazy and do impossible things right off the bat, it probably won't work. Also, sometimes it's kind of trying on your brain and you can't really escape the dream timeline, which happens. If that happens to you, just kind of deal with the dream and just bend the basic rules as it goes. For example, if you're in your house when you become lucid and you have trouble doing things or commiting, just go along with the dream. walk down the hall but while you're doing it, try to hover or jump really high or fall slowly or whatever. Also, for the love of god, do not try to have sex within your first 5 lucid dreams. I can guarantee you'll wake yourself up before you finish. The alarm will bug you but probably won't wake you up so you won't have time to think about being lucid. You'll have to have the alarm blast like Metallica or something loud with no warning. Once the adrenaline fades after you bolt awake, you'll be crazy tired. THAT is when you focus on it. One of these days I'll upload a chart of my sleep graphs. I have half a year's worth and they're almost all the same. It should provide a good visual on how you sleep and how sleep cycles work, as well as how wbtb looks.
I may try WILD or DILD today.
Not sure how useful this will be, but. Here's this. This ROUGHLY illustrates what a typical night of LDing can look like. Obviously not a guide, just a rough idea. This was...two nights ago, I think.
Is that graph thing made by some sort of app? I LOVE apps that makes graphs.

Then it takes that data and graphs it. More importantly, it will wake you up (you select a 30min timeframe) when you're at your most awake, which means you wake up easier, feel more refreshed, and don't sleep in like an idiot.
Hm. Apple. I have a Galaxy S2 :( Oh well, at least it comes with that last function :v:
Is it possible that your brain purposely makes you forget dreams? [editline]12th October 2011[/editline] I haven't remembered a boring or bad dream in ages, only good ones. sometimes i take benadryl to help me go to sleep but I normally never have any dreams on it but I just looked it up online and apparently most people have really wild and vivid dreams on benadryl...
I just got my first purposely induced lucid dream using the MILD technique.
I was in the front door section of my house with somebody I couldn't identify. I was trying to fly but I could only either jump as high as the second floor or just fly a short distance before falling backwards. Suddenly, I realize I'm in a dream and I was lucid; I don't even remember doing an RC. Happy, I notice the dream looks very lifelike. It was as lifelike as you can get except for some blurs here and there. Looking back, the guy must have disappeared but I didn't even in the slightest notice. Knowingly, I turned around to see a tree behind me. (Looking back, I think I summoned it) Remembering to stabilize my dream by using all 5 senses, I bit into the tree. Accordingly, the dream got more stable and the blurs here and there dissipated. I stopped since I was sure I was not going to wake up, however, when I looked at the time (using my cell?) I saw 12:00 and then 4:00 and woke up.
fuck Dream last night. Was at an indoors pool. Water suddenly starts to rise. Doors are locked! Everyone panics. It reaches the ceiling, and I have no choice but to breathe it in. But I realized I could breathe underwater! I was stunned and asked why it was happening. A girl nearby answers "Because you're dreaming" "oh, okay then" ->dream proceeds to continue normally without lucidity thanks, brain logic center
lol The bolded "fuck" perfectly characterizes your frustration. I can't say I've had a similar experience, but I'm very afraid that one of these days I'm going to be flying and my brain is just going to say, "Fuck it, you're flying because magical."
Rarely I get a dream where it seems so real, I can never remember it being a dream. I would jump, and then suddenly feel like I'm in really low gravity, so I jump really high unintentionally. When I start coming down from the jump, I get that falling feeling in my stomach. Freaks me the fuck out and I've never remembered the dreams except for now for some reason.
