I just love to sleep. Like op said its the ultimate sandbox game. And creating stuff and imagining means u use more sinapses in ur brain - u use more of yout menal capacity.
Had probably my tenth or twelfth lucid dream this morning (WILD, I'd guess..), and it was the first one that has actually lasted for a reasonable length of time that wasn't sleep paralysis like I've had a lot of recently, which was nice I guess.
I'd taken today off sick because I'm ill, and for some reason my mind decided to play a cruel trick on me by making me go through the routine of getting ready and going to college only to remember that I had 4 exams that I'd missed (I don't have any exams yet IRL).
So, I was in college just about to go to my locker, freaking out because I'd missed all my final exams and I realised that I couldn't be at college, because I was at home, asleep and ill as fuck. I did a quick RC and rubbed my hands together and sure enough I didn't wake up. I got all excited and started telling a random teacher about how this was the first lucid dream I'd had that wasn't 30 seconds long, or consisted of me lying unable to move in some horrifying situation. I realised that there was no point talking to the teacher, so I just smiled and said goodbye to them, and decided to try and do something interesting.
I walked over to a railing and tried to bend it. Nothing happened, I just ended up hurting my hands. I tried walking through a wall and was greeted by a bleeding nose. I guess this was just me being naive to the idea of lucidity whilst dreaming - it may not necessarily mean that you have complete control over the dream world. Anyway, I decided that if I had the willpower, I could do anything. I told myself that this was MY dream and I could do WHATEVER the fuck I wanted. I guess this self pep-talk worked 'cus I managed to turn a railing into a large metal pretzel, which then disintegrated into dust. Cool.
Then the dream took a stranger turn when David Schwimmer ran down the school corridor toward the staff room which was actually just a large cupboard full of walking sticks for some reason, slammed the door behind himself and began masturbating furiously. I guess this freaked me out a little because I woke up almost immediately after.

Also this morning when my mum came through to see if I was ok, she woke me up to ask how I was and I replied (whilst still asleep) in fluent russian.
What the fuck, I don't even know russian.

And now I have the niggling suspicion that I was just dreaming that I was lucid, and it wasn't real lucidity at all.
So I talked with my buddies about this at school and when I went back to talk to my subconscious it kicked me out saying I had 'betrayed it'.
I think my subconscious is a hermit.
I had a dream, me and some other people i know was on QI then i was knocking on a window after that i was telling someone about this toy plane and that i couldn't fit a rocket in so i put it inside the plane.
I had this incredibly strange dream where my grandfather was holding this dude at gunpoint, and he started reciting some poem or rhyme or something, and after every line he shot the guy in different places, going from the right knee to the left, and then both ankles. And then suddenly he turned it on me and shot me in the right testicle.
There was a huge amount more to it, but for all of today my right testicle's been feeling really tender and painful and I'm just wondering if anybody else has experienced dream pain becoming real pain before. :frown:
Maybe whilst you were sleeping you rolled over in you sleep and crushed your testicle and the pain became part of your dream, that would also explain the 'tenderness' the next day. I often find that outside noises are intergrated into my dreams so I'm sure the same thing can happen with pain?
What do you actually write in your dream journal?
I've read that people get vivid dreams after eating cinnamon, but can somebody clarify the amount of "eating cinnamon"? Like, a teaspoon of cinnamon powder or a cinnamon roll etc.
In or out of dreams?
If you want to talk to them outside of dreams, try clearing you mind, and imagining your voice calling out, asking for them to let you know if they're there. It might take a while, but I found I was able to get them to respond in a weird voice-in-your-head/thought way.

...what is 'this'?...
I don't even

It wants to be a secret.
I'm curious as to something. If I communicate with my subconscious, can he help me re-learn something I've forgotten? For example, if there was a piano piece I used to play a long time ago but have since forgotten, could he help me relearn it? Or am I thinking too much into this?
Still waiting on a response. I haven't been able to recall any dreams recently.
I love to dream, but most of the time the dreams point me to the fact that I will never get a girlfriend...
I love to dream, but most of the time the dreams point me to the fact that I will never get a girlfriend...
No, it's because you're stressed about your perceived inability to get a girlfriend. Seriously.
If you had the confidence from the experience of getting girlfriends easily, you'd probably be able to get one even if you never did get any, but had the confidence like you did.

She's out there somewhere, buddy. I had the same mindset as you.

Wait what
I thought it was like physically impossible for you to make sense

Well, yes and no. Forgetting is something that can never be totally reversed, but it's pretty rare to totally forget stuff too. Your sub can only work on what's still there, but what's still there is still more than you know too, so it certainly helps, even if you come across a few snags on the way.

A memory is never lost, simply forgotten.

I find it very easy to understand him.
[sp]He's got autism, thats why he says all kinds of silly things[/sp]
No dreams. Probably related to being hella sick.
And being autistic doesn't make you say silly things.
I have been wonderign for a while now, do all dreams mean something or they're tryign to tell you something. Like your sub-concience trying to talk to you?, also has anyone had a dream that vaguely resembles something that happend about a week after that dream, or just me?

Depends on what side of the spectrum your on really.

Ah, thanks. My dream recall has been iffy as of late, but I'll see if I can go lucid tonight and ask him about that. There is in fact a piano piece I used to play a long time ago that I've since forgotten, and having him help me relearn it seems like it would take less time.
Go lucid, practice for years in your dream until you are a master, then wake up and amaze people with your instant talent.

it's not really you subconscious trying to tell you things but things from your subconscious mind will appear in your dreams, so you could learn about what is going on in your subconscious brain through what happens in you dreams. for me my dreams hold meaning and I can learn things from them.
And do you mean like dreaming about the future? most likely going to be a coincidence.
I had the scariest dream ever.
I was lying down in my bed, and I rolled over to face the rest of my room and there was a fucking dark, cloaked guy sitting in my chair. He turned the chair and looked at me, and he didn't have eyes :ohdear:.
First thing I did is turn on the lights and flip the chair over after I woke up.

Anyone? :unsmith:
I think my mind's revolting on me. I dreamed I was in a dark and cloudy britain-esque city with a bunch of faceless citizens who didn't talk to me. I got about as far as somehow finding the capitol building and getting stopped by guards before getting woken up. :I

I'm sorry, what specifically did you talk about with your friends? I can't give advice until I know
Anyone? :unsmith:
you write dreams in a dream journal, describe what happened In the dream, what you felt, who was there etc....
and also I don't know where this whole cinnamon gives you vivid dreams thing came from, why not test it yourself? have half a tea spoon before you go to bed and see what happens if nothing try more the next night....

Thank you, I'll try it when I get some fresh cinnamon (last container was outdated in 2008) tomorrow
[editline]7th April 2011[/editline]
But are you able to blend the cinnamon together with some water so it's easier to down?
Pure powder is a bit nasty, and it sucks your mouth dry :smith:

I just told them I'd finally figured it out and that I had spent most of that night just probing around.
i'm just not good at getting lucid. i would do things to induce lucidity but the only technique that helps for me is WBTB which is a bitch doing when you have to get up at 5:45 the next morning. any tips?
For the past little while, I've been having dreams where my dog was lost, and we were trying to find her. I've been having these for quite a few days now, and we haven't found her yet. She died in November of last year.

I just put it in a glass of milk. It's damn tasty, too.
That, along with my vitamin C supplements and a peanut butter banana sammich, and Im set for a night of dreaming and fun stuff like that.

Also, since I've got my sleep schedule back on track (11:00 to 7:15), my recall has improved greatly.
Minecraft until 3 isn't worth it anyways.
