It's the weirdest feeling when your dreams seem to last for days, you becoming so immersed within it that you become a part of it....
And you wake up, realizing it was all a dream. Weirdest. Feeling. Ever.
I had a dream where my friend had a body transplant from an alcoholic (but of course he looked exactly the same). For some reason I walked in on him in the bathroom, and then he came out. Then my viewpoint switched to him, laying on my parents bed with a laptop in my lap. I closed my eyes, and all I could see was the loading screen for a weird GMod style game. Then I heard myself come in (since I was in the viewpoint of my friend) and started typing to tell him I wasn't asleep and he couldn't play any sorts of tricks with my sleeping body. Then I woke up, and I couldn't move at all. I had this feeling throughout my whole body that just felt bad. I felt like I couldn't breathe. After a few seconds I moved a little bit and was out of it. What happened?

Sleep Paralysis. Nothing to worry about, happens from time to time. If you want to get out of it, just concentrate all your energy on wiggling your toes.
I just made the worst reality check ever last night.
I had a foggy notion that I might be dreaming, so I asked one of the dream's characters if I was dreaming. He immediately replied 'no,' even before I finished asking the question.
I was so satisfied by this answer that I didn't realize it was a dream until an hour after I woke up.
Probably somewhat arrogant of me to ask this without attempting to look up any information, but do any of you guys have any tips on remembering your dreams daily?
Also, I'd prefer not to keep a dream journal.

Keep a dream journal or at least try to think about the dreams you had when you wake up.
Try to think of events that have happened recently in your life. If it doesn't follow any chronology, you must have dreamt it.
Past couple of weeks I've been kind of on and off trying to induce a WILD, however I've been unsuccessful. I get to a state where I'm completely relaxed, and then I start feeling like my body get's much lighter, feels almost like floating - and while my eyes are closed it kind of seems to be getting brighter almost - kind of like the light that's coming at the end of the tunnel.
Pretty much i have no idea what is going on.
got the sleep paralysis thing, jesus christ that was scary
got the sleep paralysis thing, jesus christ that was scary
Now to get through it into a lucid!
awww yeah, lets do this shizzle
will post tomorrow if any success is had
I've had a lot of mini series dreams lately.
They have been like tv shows, but have only lasted from 4 days and then moves onto a different series.
Is it possible to enter into WILD without sleeping and waking first?
Imma try looking in a mirror tonight.

It's a projection of yourself through your mind's eye (self-esteem), if a little emphasized. I hope you don't hate yourself!

Whenever I hear mind's eye, I'm instantly reminded of that old comic, bone.
Damn nostalga
I will try testing an experimental dream mixture by taking B6, Melatonin, And cinnamon.
Melatonin definitely gave me vivid dreams and excellent dream recall before. According to my experience so far, 5mg Melatonin is more effective then 3mg.
Apparently 5-HTP also helps, but I usually take it as a regular supplement as opposed to using it as a dream enhancer.
Is it normal to feel very strong attraction to characters within the dream that I've never seen before? Because I get that a lot. Usually I'll dream about being in a room with a bunch of people, human and non-human, and I'll feel like I've known them my whole life. A few times I've been exploring what looks like a wrecked spacecraft with a random mix of people and it feels the same, albeit much more tense.
I had a dream that we filled up every canyon with water to create more waterfront property and solve the economic crisis
which doesn't really make sense on reflection

Add sugar to that list, I dare you. :v:

Not necessarily.
Anything can happen, colour mishaps, convex/concave effects, [sp]illusions[/sp], etc.

The alternative to dream journal would probably be an audio-journal, which would just be a dream journal done with voice recording rather than written. Sounds easier IMO, but I prefer a written journal.
If you don't want to keep a journal of any form... Dream journal is just to practice recalling to make it easier, you don't have to one, but it helps. As for better recall...
How to recall a dream
Of course, this is the most important question. Most people have difficulty at remembering dreams, simply because dreams are rigged to be forgotten the moment you wake up. Another reason why some dream are easily forgotten is because they were boring and aren't worth remembering. Here's how you improve dream recall.
-When you wake up, don't move or anything. The first thing you must focus on is the dream.
-Before you sleep, repeat to yourself that you'll remember your dream.
-Get a dream journal. It makes recall a lot easier and may sometimes help induce lucidity for those doing WBTB.
-Eat bananas, watermelons and fish. They contain vitamins necessary for dream recall, supposedly.(I have the same dream recall with and without them)
-If you're desperate, take a single tablet with vitamin b6 or 1 to 2 pills of cod liver oil
Note that dream recall is a powerful placebo capable increasing chances of lucidity, shame it doesn't work on me anymore.
I find it usual that when I become lucid, it usually slips away, even though I'm rubbing my hands, continuing actions, spinning, etc, I lose lucidity and my normal dream continues on.
Also a couple of times I was in a normal dream, and bam, lost the dream suddenly, became conscious into sleep paralysis with my eyes closed, random images and colors flashing with vibrations in an epileptic pattern, it was cool since all the images where related to the same thing.
Any tips?
I had a dream last night. I was with my friend, and for some reason he was me but I was him, but I looked like him but was me, and he looked like me and was him and we were both wearing orange.
wow, this goes deep...
everyone says to do reality checks, but the problem is that once i'm in a dream, it plays like a movie.
i don't do anything i just watch through my eyes what's going on, well not always but most of the time this happens
fortunately i have a reality check of my own, at first i thought i was incapable of controlling my dream, but now i understand what's it about
when i get on a bike, and then start cycling it doesn't stop, it just goes on forever. and when i try to stop it, it stops for a second or two, and then starts moving all by itself.
so this i thought first was something i can't control, but now i understand that it's a reality check sort of thing because what's going on is dream-logic in action.
another thing is that sometimes i actually know i'm dreaming and i still don't wake up, but the problem here is that i also am incapable of controlling myself.
it's just whatever i randomly think in my mind happens, but very rarely.
and the dreams i get without this state just make no sense to me at all. not that i can't recall but i can't relate it to anything in my life.
well this is my story, i hope you enjoyed it as much as i enjoy reading all your dream experiences.
does anyone have tips for me? maybe something that makes me dream more frequently?

That happens to me all the time.
I think I had something like this a few months ago. Basically I was lying in my bed and couldn't move at all but my face looked at the door. There was a shadow which came closer and closer to me which scared the shit out of me. Then I heard a voice saying something and woke up. It happened only once but it was so incredibly terrifying that I really don't want it to happen again.
Also I think I had that exploding head syndrom some guy was talking about a few pages earlier in this thread.
I know it sounds dumb but is there any way to make this never ever happen again? It was the most terrifying thing that ever happened to me.

There isn't a way. Just hope for the best when you go to sleep.
Or alternatively, you could start practising lucid dreaming to learn how to get into a dream from said state and overcome your fears.

Had three WILDs last night, not fully lucid but they were pretty vivid.
Recently, for like a month, I started to get dreams (not lucid, still cannot into that) very, very often. Literally I remember all my dreams every damn day. Previously, for atleast whole summer and till mid october I couldn't remember a shit, but now I remember intensively. Why?
Anyone?
Anyone?
Brain does what it wants.
Brain needs no reason.
Figured out a way that helps me WILD. Wake up several hours earlier before you usually do, and switch on the lights bright enough to be annoying but not too bright. Or open the curtains a little to let the light in. I'm the type of sleeper that has trouble sleeping if the room isn't totally dark so it keeps me awake just enough to not go completely under and instead stay conscious into SP and lucid.
I finally sucsessfully summoned and had a conversation with my subconsions! It was cool and all but it turns out my subconsions is pizza. Out of all the forms it could have taken...it was pizza.
