oh man oh god went to take a short nap, ended up with sleep paralysis (I never learn D:) and heard my girlfriend say my name and giggle, like she was at the end of the bed just out of sight to properly have auditory hallucinations is creepy as hell, too bad I pussied out and willed myself to get up instead of staying further and trying to get into a dream state
What did you find creepy about just hearing your girlfriend, you got off pretty lucky imo
dunno, it's the fact that I could still see the room pretty much fine, just my ears were playing tricks on me I've never had proper sleep paralysis hallucinations before, usually I just can't move for a bit and that's that
I just fell asleep in the library and had a bit of exploding head syndrome that woke me right the fuck up instantly and everybody looked at me. I also had red marks on my forehead and nose from falling asleep face-to-table. [editline]16th December 2011[/editline] hahhah, covered it up with my santa hat and going back to sleep [editline]16th December 2011[/editline] Fuck you table.
Finally got an LD, and took full advantage of it. I began in a void. Total darkness. nothing. I thought: "I need a vessel", and constructed one out of those anatomy mannequins (you know, the ones that have all the body parts articulated and separated, i think it's for artists as well) and began doing some movements to get the feel for it. Once I did that, I sparred against another mannequin and won. I stared at my hands and thought: "I need human hands". So my body became muscular and well-shaped. I thought up an environment, and a HL2-style citadel room appeared. It had no exits, and it was dark. Out of the darkness emerged a pink box-headed person, who I had previously overcome and now know to be my anti-sub. "What are you doing here?" "You lost control john(me). I told you should you ever do so, I will take over, and you will never do this again." "Well I'm back. Now get." "You are a fool john." And he rushes at me. Quickly, I summon a sword and slice him in two. The halves float up and mutate outward, becoming wings to a giant bird. Once more, I slice him. Talons. Beaks. Wings. Eventually, I think: "This is my dream damnit." So I raise my hand and he gets sucked into it, becoming play dough. I put him in a cage. Then another cage. Then another. Then I shrink that down, and put it in another cage. Then, I throw that into the void of space. With the anti-sub dealt with, I decided to go to the hallway that had so taunted me. It gave me trouble, but with my clarity, it stayed stable. The window chomped at me, and I dove through it (it was at the end of hallway). I fell through void until I hit a floor. There, I met the persona "anonymous", who was dressed up in his part. He explained how he was my desire to remain anonymous online. He created a door for me, saying it'd lead to my sub. I went though, and landed in crowded nighttime venice. I made the crowd vanish, and headed to a bridge overlooking a lake. As I looked over the lake, I heard a noise. "Nice night tonight." I look over. It's him. My sub. "where have you been?" I asked. "I missed you." He looks at me. "I thought you didn't want me anymore." "That's not true! I just wanted to take a break!" "Oh. Well john, I'm sorry." "Me too C. Me too. But... We need to get you back into the regular part of my mind. I can't come down here every night. Too complex." "You're right. Let's go." I rip open a portal to a roman Colosseum where me and my sub fought a giant W40k space marine. Once we won, we went to a nice field at sunset where he gave me an onyx ring with the instruction: "Should I not be available, and you wish me to be by your side, simply make this lightless onyx ring shine." I thanked him, and we sat and watched the sunset together before I asked him nicely to wake me up so I could write down all of this. Then I woke up. I think I've solved my mind's turbulent problems for now. My LDing has increased a good bit, so it definitely did something. Should there be any problems I should watch out for? Any hidden symbolism?
A few weeks late, but you have a great mind.
Got into an unintentional LD last night. It only last 10 seconds before it faded to black because I got excited. Before I started reading up on LDs in the past few months, I had only had one in my entire life. I find it pretty interesting that just simply reading up on the topic itself can increase your chances of lucid dreaming. Well, it's Friday. I suppose I'll give a WILD a shot tonight.
I just got home from a party and I'm wondering, how does alcohol affect sleep and dreaming?
So, can you create the person that your subconscious is projected as? Like, voice, appearance, how they act, etc.?
Was having a normal dream last night when suddenly I realized it was a dream and turned lucid via MILD. And I just happened to stumble upon two lesbians filming a porn movie right before starting my actual dream goal. It was too vivid to resist so I joined the fun like a boss and abandoned my original goal
Do you guys mind if I use this thread as my Dream Journal? Well, I don't remember much about last night, but I'll write it down just incase. I remember something about something, and the other thing was the weekend being over and our Gym teacher making us do a long run, it was cold, someone had a hat on with some sort of white writing on it, and it was snowing. It was behind our school-house, I could see a part of it, or the field behind it. I remember about 1 second or less of that. It also switched viewing angles once. It was just over a second in lenght, as I remember it.
So this morning I was looking through my dream journal after having and writing down a very vivid dream, and noticed that ever other dream that I noted as being extremely vivid all started at the same location (my grandmother's house). I suspect I was on some level aware that I was dreaming because I would test certain things (in the most recent one I was watching TV, and opened the TV guide menu to see if the words were all garbled and misspelled... they were)
I keep on getting dreams where I'm banned. How to make them stop?
I keep on getting dreams where I'm banned. How to make them stop?
I could ban you for real, maybe it would get rid of the dreams
I had some sort of badass dream last night then I went back to sleep for another 5 hours and forgot it.
I could ban you for real, maybe it would get rid of the dreams
I love you orkel
I just remembered a bit of an old dream I had. I was with the Doctor, on a starship like space-plane flying to the moon, which had quite a city/civilization on it. It seemed like a very dense city with some construciton whateveryoucallthems reaching out at some places and some pipes. Anyway, the Doctor. He smiled at me, he was sitting on a seat and I saw a light and the ships wall behind him. He was sitting on a blackish seat. Going to bed now, nighty night.
-oh, wouldn't want that.-
12 hrs plz.
Asking for a ban is always permanent

Write them down or type them up in Notepad and keep them organized or something. Dream Journals are important for more than just helping initial recall, you can look back over old dreams and it can actually improve your recall just by doing that. And it can help you identify dream signs.

It felt like a mix of Warehouse 13, Fringe, and Doctor Who. I remember about 1 second again, but it's enough to write about. I remember a man turning around, looking off into the distance behind me, who looked like the guy from the first episode of season 6 of Doctor Who, and also felt like it was the guy who tried to open a window to the other universe in Fringe, and for some reason it felt a bit like Warehouse 13. TV shows, argh. It was dark, though. Some sort of industrial building behind the guy. Looked a bit like the moon-city from the other dream. Very, very weird.
Okay, so in a totally at-random way for reasons I cannot explain, I came across a recipe for a homemade herbal tea for lucid dreaming. Which is to say vivid dreams, anyways. Here is the description:
1 Part Mugwort (Art. vulgaris) 2/3 Part Stevia 1/3 Part Valerian Root 1/2 Part Yerba mate 1/4 Part Rose hips Use a grinder to chop chunky ingredients. Mix well. Use a hearty, well-packed tea ball's worth. Dream like crazy. Wake up refreshed. Not recommended if you have chronic nightmares or night terrors. It's also an excellent hypnotic, but be cautious. It stirs up a lot of imagery, so just be aware of what's going on. I recommend trying it yourself to understand the experience if you intend to share it with others.
...don't know if want
I had an interesting dream a while back, I remember pretty much none of it but the basic notion was; All of the economically developed countries got flipped with the third-world ones, so the USA was a shithole and Africa (excluding the Sahara, and any other lands on which building would be difficult/impossible) was the richest area of the world. Europe was also a war-torn pile of ass. And personally, I don't trust the ingredients.
New goal: Lucid dream, find mirror. I don't even know what I think of myself anymore.
Make sure to report back
First I have to figure out where the hell to get said ingredients.
oh wow that was surprisingly easy to find. now order them with my non-existant credit card.
I'm going to do everything in my power to start LDing over winter break, so I have a few questions. 1. What's the best method for dream recall? Are there things I can eat/drink before sleep to help increase this? 2. What's the easiest to start and most reliable method of lucid dreaming? 3. To start a WILD dream, is it absolutely necessary to wake up and fall asleep again, or can you start one from being fully awake to asleep?
I had a dream. Pretty much all that I remember. And some structure/large piece of something. [editline]19th December 2011[/editline] I also attempted a WILD in the morning. Got sort of half-way there, then for some reason I moved my hand and opened my eyes, there went the WILD.
I've been trying to use WILD for a while now, but I keep on breathing heavily the second I start to enter my dream. And I break out of paralysis. I'll try again tonight I guess...
Had sleep paralysis last night but didn't get into a WILD this time.
