I have a couple questions.
1) Is it normal that I dream the same dream situation 4 times but the difference is that how it starts acts out and ends is always different BUT it's always about the same thing?
2) I sometimes also dream a lot about all my teeth falling out or parts of them? Any idea if that has some kind of underlying meaning to it? (I've never really understood the whole "Dream interpretation" thing)
3) Sometimes when I dream and I'm for example running. I feel like I'm not running right. Like my legs are burning or constricted in to some degree. I can run, but not as fast nor easily and I notice that I can't run etc as I can in real life, but I can never change it.
Like when I had a dream that I stole a copy of Skyrim out the trunk of a car and was chased by the 10 year old who was quarter my height, but somehow when I ran it felt like my legs were on fire/in huge amounts of pain. I couldn't outrun him. Maybe I'm just being a bit odd. That or played too many games.
And before you all say it, no I'm not some huge fat guy who can't run. I'm actually somewhat 'Athletic' - Read as somewhat active and not entirely out of shape. :P
Running and punching in dreams are hilariously hard. Running isn't a motion that comes as naturally as walking. When you run, your brain takes into account terrain and motion, and has to adjust little things as you run. This isn't nearly as prevalent when you walk. Same with punching, it's a complicated motion with a lot of judgments to make.
When you're dreaming, none of those factors are present, but your brain still wants to account for them, resulting in a REALLY sluggish movement/motion. Flying is generally easier than running, to prove my point.
I had a dream the other night in which Obama and I teamed up with a group of Serbian mercenaries to fight off a horde of Jawas. It was scary though because it was set to music that sounded kinda like this. Give a Jawa a cutlass and he becomes scary on his own, even without music from Amnesia.
tons of dreams las night
the weirdest one was that I was sitting in class doing a spelling bee (which we never do) and I couldn't even see what was written on the board, so I couldn't participate
I sorta knew deep down inside that I couldn't see it because I was dreaming, but I wasn't really aware of that.
I was up until 6am last night then had a dream that I didn't go to sleep at 6 and couldn't fall asleep. Everyone else was starting their day and I couldn't fall asleep. I finally did around noon(in the dream). I then woke up, looked at the clock, and it was 12:03.
So, Last night I pulled off a MILD last night. Still need to figure out WILD. I do quite a lot of WBTB.
I guess all is good.
I had an amazing MILD, I was freaking out over how somebody stole my school shit (Which had my laptop and everything). Then I realized it's Christmas break and shouldn't even be at school, so I was lucid for a while. Sadly I didn't remember my plan when next lucid and I lost lucidity maybe 5 minutes later.
Jarrod's dream of wonder, Garry, and a ship
I think the dream started off at me building a ship as if I were playing G-Mod with this and that, hell, even have complete bathroom stalls. (Scene missing) . then some people began to enter the ship, walking about, checking it out as if they where shoping. I somehow switch the look of the ship to a rockish look, as if we where underground, instead, up in the air or just resting on the ground. Now the the interesting part of this story that baffles me. Walking about, I noted a woman ragdoll, more aleinish then human, so I began to pick her up with a grav gun and fix the infaltor issue (Trust me, I have no fucking idea) and began to walk by the the bathroom and now Garrys Mod is just thrown out the window from here, and um, er, how can I explain is? Lets say Love...but it was cutscening back and forth as if it was bleeping it out (Again no idea) to this and some realy small, golden, alein guy holding a weapon, with some gaurds arguing to let them in intill the little guy fights them, and for some reason wining, and now for some reason, a cockpit grows on the frount, well, more of something compared to a combine blockaide, they somehow enter it by flying and the began pulling the ship (Wat) and after some little time...it stoped into a text as if my brain just failed. Damn, it would be the story of the lifetime.
Thats my dream and I have no fucking idea what just happened...
Last night I had a dream about flying on a butterfly. After landing there was a guy and he picked up a timer with 90 seconds. He had to decide whether to turn into a dog or stay as a human after the timer was up.
He decided to stay as a human. And he grew a giant horn (like a viking horn) in the place of his dick and became incredibly fat, after noticing his transformation I laughed in my sleep and woke up from it, my sister also asked why I laughed so hard after she woke up from it in the room next to mine

Last night one of my dreams was about punching a certain asshole I used to know, the punch went perfectly without any sluggishness and he fell to the ground with broken teeth. Very satisfying dream.
The one time I punched someone in a dream, I was woken up because I had actually punched my wall.
I keep having dreams of me and others being blown up, it's either on a plane or in a downtown area of my city.
What is my brain trying to tell me?
last night was really weird and cool
I went to bed at some time after 12:00, and I definitely didn't get to sleep right away, I was lying there for a while
and then I woke up after a long detailed vidid dream at 2:00 AM, which just doesn't seem like enough time to dream in
and then I woke up after every other dream, and remembered so many details
I love christmas break. Sleep from 12-12, waking up many times, going back to sleep and having awesome dreams. What I do during my awake hours: Skyrim.

Weird. I've never had a punch work without me being lucid. Then again, I'm not much of a fighter. Maybe my brain just doesn't think punching is the answer. :downs:
I've noticed that about flying, too. If i try to do like a floating backflip or something, I'll get halfway over and then just kind of...fail. I think I'm too reliant on real-world physics. Gotta start to just let go, I guess. I should work on that.

I lift and run every other day, just not on christmas break.

I've gotten completely over that stage. There's nothing I can't do in a lucid dream, because of the full realization and application of it being my dream and my rules.
Had one WILD and one MILD last night. They were pretty good. MILD lasted longer, mostly took place at a grassy field.
I had a dream about accordions last night :v:
I'm afraid to just completely throw out the dream and acknowledge that all the power is mine, because if I do, I'll lose control and end up bent up worse than before.
So, any specific tips for flying? I can't even lift off the ground anymore.
I'd write down my dreams but I never really sleep soundly so I end up just breezing through them without really remembering anything. Lots of tossing and turning and general not-staying-asleep-for-solid-periods-of-time-ing.
Also I can't really motivate myself. First time I tried writing, my dreams had rather embarrassing subject matter.
Had a semi-lucid the other night. Still working towards lucidity!

I'm over that stage when I'm lucid, but not when I'm in a dream. Bleh.
Do you sometimes get tired of the way lucid dreams feel? Maybe it's me and my weird synesthesia or something, but my lucid dreams always have a weird...feeling. I really can't explain it, but it's like I subconsciously realize I'm dreaming and nothing is real, and I almost have a weird sense/feeling of insincerity projected onto everything/into me. It's hard to explain. :<
It's almost like everything feels too real and perfect.
Achieved MILD last night via 'the Matrix has you'.
I had a dream last night involving being stuck at university and being totally unable to remember where my classes or even my bedroom was. I searched and searched for my timetable, couldn't find it. I eventually found my room and tried looking it up on the internet, but the specific part of the physics department website that would have had it was missing. I remember blindly ringing up as many people as I could to try to figure out where I was going, but I didn't get a single response. I was constantly running out of time, missing my unknown classes one by one.
Started running through the corridors of this huge, vast complex which clearly my brain thought was the university, it was pretty much entirely deserted. There were rooms with like, heavy sci-fi machinery and toxic gas seeping in. Eventually I looked in my pocket and found my timetable, but I couldn't read any of the words on it because it was all weirdly bleached white. I finally figured out I was in a dream when I remembered that I was on holiday and didn't have any classes, and then immediately woke up.
I fucking hate creepy ass stressful dreams like that. Damn.
i had so many dreams last night but I woke up from every one of them due to the smallest noise
they all ended really quickly, and then I was able to get back to sleep and in a dream within just a few minutes
it was crazy, I had so many dreams that I can barely remember them all even though I did write them down.
My dream recall is slowly improving, and during the vacation, lucid dream rates have been rapidly increasing! (And by that I mean the number of times I do reality checks in dreams, because most of the time, I just get thrown out or have a false awakening.)
Anyway, tonight I something cool happened in my dream. I was inside a video game (I'm sure you can all relate) and I had to cast a spell or something. To cast that spell one had to pinch ones nose and blow through it. Automatic RC :D lucidity only lasted for like 20 seconds though.
I've gotten like 5 dreams a night for the past few nights, and a bunch of the dreams actually have to do with things like my dream journal or talking to people about dreams
too bad I didn't take the hint and become lucid.
last night a good part of my dream had to do with some glass stuck in my hand
I woke up to find out that my hand was in a really weird position and I was digging my fingernails into it the whole time
holy shit I have definitely Lucid Dreamed before. No prior preparation or anything.
Example- (this was when I live in the UK. I had just asked for a scooter for christmas)
So my head was cold one night, and I decided to go asleep with a santa hat on. I fell asleep, and my dreams remained peaceful and normal until I found a scooter and fell on it. I fell right on to the back of my head, and as the pavement smacked my forehead everything grew clearer and more colurful. Like 240p to 720p or Standard Def to HDTV. It was cool. Next thing I know, I have a perfect pencil sized hole in the back of my head. Blood is squirting out of it(At this moment, I am thinking "The fuck?"). My head feels funny. I reached up and grabbed it. It wiggled around, and it felt odd. I knew I had to go to the hospital, so I whipped out my scooter and started riding down the street in search of a hospital. I wasnt going fast enough, so little rocket engines appeared on my scooter and turned on. I couldn't find a hospital, then all the sudden BAM one popped up out of nowhere. Except is was a shopping mall/hospital. A shopital. My parents saw me, and made me lay down on my back. I laid down and continued to play with my head, moving and pushing it about. Ugh, gives me the chills
Anyways, turns out I woke up wiggling my santa hat around my head.
EDIT:
There are other dreams I have somewhat controlled, but none remain as lucid as this
One of my favorite things to do (and you guys should try this when you run out of ideas/get bored) is to just insert myself into tv shows/movies as a main character. Preferably one totally separate and original.
Excellent examples are Avatar and my personal favorite, The Incredibles. I suggest it.
lucid doesn't mean it's vivid and clear, it just means you know you're dreaming
I had a dream that I accidentally started doing some dark magic with pentagrams and shit and teleported someone to another universe. Oops
