That's a really aesthetically unappealing logo.
Was that done with a mouse?
I haven't really payed attention to the lighting in those kind of pictures and I find it rather fascinating how the big overhead softbox adds to the final image.
So the guy who beat me in the photo contest decided to start his own company with his girlfriend. Here's their logo. Time to start my own company, won a class photo competition.
Anyone know a good place somewhere near Southern California to send BW film off to be developed? All the Labs in the LA area are ~super pro mlg~ and cost nearly $30 for developing and scanning :(

They don't fuck around either, best lab ever.

I'd say put some static on the screen or something, it looks really flat as is. Because they are all rounded and stuff normally so they cast specific reflections
Go the extra mile and get a TV like that, that works. Somehow get the text on the screen.
Tv's are cheap at goodwill or Craigslist, and I agree with bopie. Trying to think of a way to get text onto a screen though...

Do 2 shots, one with the text and one with some static and sort of work out a nice balance of the 2 together.
Agree with your choices. Best rounded combination, don't underestimate how dark it will be though
It's way darker than you imagine, especially for sports photography.

show me where I can buy some wood print stuff to replace the leatherette
show me where I can buy some wood print stuff to replace the leatherette
you could send it to them, and maybe they'd do it for you for a price?
you could send it to them, and maybe they'd do it for you for a price?
the idea is to not pay hipster-fishing prices at all, I spent $15 on a nigh identical looking canonet with standard black leatherette, it'd be funny knowing how much that material costs
the idea is to not pay hipster-fishing prices at all, I spent $15 on a nigh identical looking canonet with standard black leatherette, it'd be funny knowing how much that material costs
OH, that went over my head completely. i wonder if anyone has actually bought any cameras from them. god, those prices are friggin' ridiculous.
Just color corrected my screen, oddly there's this weird reddish thing to the top. I think it's my screen. 6300K on DSLR weird thing is it disappears when I sit up
it's just the way lcd monitors work. They're designed so that they're most even when your eyes are level with the top of the monitor (and you're sitting back a bit), but looking at a monitor from that angle is a terrible strain. Same goes for laptop screen-mounted cameras, it wants to point so far down that you can't see your screen right
I corrected mine so everything looks like battlefield 3
I corrected mine so everything looks like battlefield 3
With a healthy spritzing of bokeh dust?
I corrected mine so everything looks like battlefield 3
Did you attach a spotlight to the top of your monitor?
