Disassembled the viewfinder today and cleaned all the glass.
I don't have the front plate on the camera which is why the beveled square'ish frame isn't in the second picture.

7 deadly sins would be an easy one to 'fluff up' for uni, but if you want something with real meaning you're gunna have to come up with it yourself. It won't be trill if someone else thinks it up for you.
trill?
is that 'cool like a jazz flute solo' or something I can't keep up with you hipsters these days
Trill is when you are playing raining blood on guitar hero on expert and you can't hit the ending because its a trill
So, my co-worker doesn't want to pay for a professional to do his and his girlfriends homecoming pictures, so he asked if I could do them for him. I feel comfortable doing them, and I know the area that the shots will be taken at very well. But, does anyone have any tips on doing so?
Im not sure if I should use a fill-flash or not outside on them?
I have a older canon speedlight that I can use, would that be up to the task?
and should I use my 50mm 1.8 or my Sigma 24-135 2.8-4.5? or a mixture of the two?
Im not sure if I should use a fill-flash or not outside on them?
I'd say only if there are harsh shadows on the face/body, or use it to bring out the subject more if you have to stop down due to over-exposure with how bright the environment is.

I don't see why not. Might want to make/buy a softbox, though. Preferably make one.

Use a mixture of the two, don't see why you can't. Really want to keep your options open, especially seeing how you might be a tad limited in some situations with framing when it comes to using a prime lens. Plus, even if you end up using just one lens, at least you kept your options open.

Alrighty, thank you very much. They are all pretty creative people, and very open to a few things. Im just hoping my Rebel XS is up to the task, don't really have the money to upgrade until March of next year :/
Remember when I said some of my mf film came out like this?

I'm thinking of putting a roll through it and testing some of the shutterspeeds like 1000th, 500th, 250th to see if it's the shutter and if so, at which speed it occurs.
Now, I still have some B/W developer. Could I use it to develope some color film? Just so I can see which shutterspeeds correspond to the black stuff at the top?
Nope, B&W chemicals cannot develop color film. I would not try as you would be wasting both

Alright, then I'll just buy some cheap black and white film and use that. I'm guessing only the fastest shutterspeed(1/1000th) is giving me issues.
I've seen C41 deveolped in B/W chemicals before someone on the internet, I thought there was a way.
Also developed 2nd roll of film today woo

It seems so low quality when i scan it through my DSLR, heh
I wonder how that woman feels about being on a skrillex track

I think I might've seen this on here, but I wonder if I'll ever meet someone like this in my days of adventuring with photography :P
I still love the "Drill SERGEANT!" at 0:12
I remember this video, they were skaters, and the photographers were getting in trouble because they were taking photos of things they weren't supposed too? I can't remember entirely, I couldn't understand the woman too well lol. ANYWAYS, taking pics with skaters always leads to a fun adventure or another.
I remember one day we were filming in an abandon Daycare, it was seven skaters, two other photographers, and myself. I'm pretty sure a lot of people saw us go into it, because it's right next to a busy street, but we really did think anyone would care since it is abandon. Anyhow, someone ended up calling the police, and a lot of them showed up. One of the skaters broke a window leading out of the back, and we all started to hop through, but another skater caught his ankle on a piece of glass sticking out, and cut his foot wide-open. We all managed to get out of there, and met up at the local skatepark an hour later. The skater who cut his foot open had a shoe full of blood, and ruined a good sock. But other than that, it was quite a rush.
RE C41 film in black and white chems, stop pulling shit out of your ass please:

Well that goes against all I've heard and read, including many people having their film ruined by having it developed in the wrong chemicals.
I just got done developing a roll of B/W. I took shots with different shutterspeeds and looking at the film, I can see the ones taken with a 1/1000th shutterspeeds display the black gradient on top of the pictures. Kinda sucks but atleast I know I can use the camera as long as I don't shoot with 1/1000th speeds.
Just did a 4 hour video gig for the opera department at my school. Shit was hard, the a77 with my 28-135 weighs like 4lbs and I had to hand hold it for at least an hour. I think overall it came out well, I'm not looking forward to editing it though.

Brb investing in sigma 50-500 so I can speed up the muscle building
does anyone know how to convert sony's gay ARW format to RAW so you can actually edit it?
Convert to DNG? What are you trying to use to edit it?
I'm trying to use lightroom for editing, but it can't import them, I'll try the DNG converter
Put them through photoshop first? I know it opens Pentax's RAW Format.

What version? Lightroom 3 supports my nex 5 and a77 which are 2010 and 2011 respectively, so 3 should work with most of their cameras sans the recently released batch of Nex cameras and the a57 maybe
Just got back from Kayaking in the mountains.
