so guys this is going to be like that obama thing where they asked him about facepunch
' Psy, the photography forum on facepunch, they say hello.'
but however, in honour of all of you. I plan to get a photo with him either just standard but hopefully dancing the gangnam dance. If i'm lucky ill even put my Pentax 67II on a timer and get a selfie of us both.
Marley can you give him my mix tape
Nudes pls.
Guys, I need your help!
I'm making a PSA and it's deadline is tomorrow. We're trying to come up with a tagline to put towards the end of our video.
Here are the deets:
Our video is about a guy who goes to a party, gets drunk and is about to drive home, but instead chooses to not drive. (that's the gist of it)
Basically we were thinking something along the line of one decision can change your life.
Or like "one decision can affect your whole life. Don't drink and drive." (We are voiceovering it too)
Something simple would be nice. Last year it was "You're not the only one to feel the pain" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=injf3TtF2lE) and the year before that it was "It's not child's play any more" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mM4qBuHyQ8I&feature=plcp)
Any advice or help would be fantabulous.
So...
I got that job at Photojojo
So I lost in my photo class competition, to a drawing of a photo? I don't understand how it works really. I mean nice drawing, but a drawing in a class photo competition?

the joke's on you; it's a photo of a drawing of a photo
We had a gallery showing for one of my classes and the winning picture was a piece of fruit being dropped into water

Now you can import stuff from DX/Ebay and sell it back for 10 times the cost!
so Psy was too ill to do the interview, so i didn't get to meet him. His manager told us that the bill is on him though. Had a gorgeous Martini and a club sandwich from a very luxurious hotel in London, so it wasn't all for nothing!
Will you get to see him ever?
Will you get to see him ever?
i doubt it, i was on last minute because the other video guy was busy. So next time, if he isn't busy then i may be offered it again. It's unlikely though.
What's your job, Blaze?
What's your job, Blaze?
I freelance video work and editing, and i somehow get jobs even though i don't have an online portfolio whatsoever. Literally just contacts got the ball rolling. Trying to break out into photography a bit more though but just getting my portfolio sorted together before that can happen really.
Same here, doing lots of work for various election campaigns in Israel right now, funny budgets.
Why, is Gangnam style too mainstream?
Nah, but I'm sure a lot of musicians get tired of only being known for one song.
Also damn, no portfolio and going strong.

am I missing something?

7d takes CF cards not SD. Putting a SD card in will break the camera.

Break? seriously?
Well, I got to lend a Leica M6 for this whole week. This is going to be fun
Break? seriously?
Yeah, it won't fit, many people have been known to force it in and break the innards.
oh this kind of break, alrightie.
Waiting on a roll of Ilford to get back that I've been shooting on since the beginning of summer.
I don't get out enough :(
I'll post 'em when I've got 'em (Assuming the shutter on my Yashica is accurate and they all turn out alright.)
Selling like 10 of my lenses on eBay this week (hopefully) trying to fund myself a nice 16-50mm 2.8 so I can have a good video and photo lens for most situations. Next on my list is the minolta 70-210 f4, which I'll have to watch Craigslist like a hawk for a while haha. Then I can focus on shooting, something about having too many lenses I don't use makes me anxious for whatever reason.
What lenses and how much? I'm interested :)
Such shitty luck with wildlife today. Reflections in water for landscapes? FUCK YOU I'M A DUCK. Golden hour with beautiful bands of pinky hues? SUDDEN GEESE MIGRATION.
What lenses and how much? I'm interested :)
Just minolta alpha and canon FD lenses, I'll link my account if those interest you
Does anyone else feel like they just don't improve at all? I don't know, I just feel like my photos don't get any better or rather good. I got some occasional shots I am happy with but mostly I just think my pictures are bad.
If anyone has felt like this but doesn't feel like that anymore, what did you do to get rid of the feeling?
Also, I think I need a new display. Printed out some photos on our new printer but even though my display is "color calibrated" they turned out a bit dark. I guess even calibrating won't help much on a 100€ display. Might be the printer though.
