Any chance of a Cargo invite anyone?
It looks like a good site to start working on, to pass around to people.
I think ideally you should be tweaking clips one at a time to save out a copy and work in premiere to string them together proper. watch the video linked in the big header image of the speedgrade page
Oh, I know. I open up speed grade and just added one clip. All the other ones I'm guessing was from before. I don't even know how to start fresh since there's no file menu or anything. Like I said I've been meaning to look into it deeper, but it hasn't been on the top of my priority list.
i dunno i'd get my comp perfectly organised in premiere THEN grade it
Yeah. I didn't see the send to adobe speedgrade in premiere. Just get your cut together and send it to speedgrade.

I think the point given in the video was to do your clips individually to get the color 'correct' for every one, then you do your comp, then you come back to do post-production flavoring of full scenes so everything is consistent without having to worry about timing adjustments to a larger comp as each clip changes.
Usually color correcting and grading is the very last thing you do. Plus I like the idea of having your whole timeline (or a section of it in it) in speedgrade so I can more easily match shots

At risk of sounding elitist, I don't think you guys really understand what cargo collective is. It's just an easy way to host online portfolios, it's not the next flickr/tumblr or whatever - I get that you guys are mostly kidding when you say that, but these sites aren't comparable as they serve completely different functions. Most of you don't have a real need for cargo collective. The whole point of the application/invite-only system is to keep people who just want to sign up all willy nilly from clogging up the site and it's community. It's not a photo sharing place where you can just dump whatever you feel like, these are meant to be polished portfolios.

Yep. I understood this from the start. :eng101:
Why would anyone choose to pay tax if they don't have to? Especially on items that are hundreds of dollars, it adds so much cost.
They dodged tax through legal means.
Blame the government for being too lazy and incompetent to close legal tax dodging loopholes, while they taxed pasties on whether they're warm or not.
Exactly, given the options I'm sure people will always choose to pay less. Once amazon charges tax I don't know what I'll do :(
amazon still charges vat at 20% to you, but paid little corporation tax through very creative means
I'm not sure if America has VAT

That's a really great idea for getting more people into film.
Also, I don't get the second pic.

Looks like it accepts any phone.

the little comic is supposed to be a humorous over-exaggeration of anger to the fact that the scanner is going to crop the scan of your negative.
SpeedGrade is for grading, not color correcting. Open an Adjustment layer instead of linking between Premiere and SG.
And yeah, due to SG not being originally an Adobe product, the interface isn't what you're used to. I assume we'll see it Adobe-like in CS7.
If possible could I grab a Cargo invite off someone?
Looking to get this show on the road, and create a folio.
Thanks!
What's this Cargo? I'd like to get an invite aswell.
You don't need one.
My friend has one of those new iMacs with the retina displays, looking at photos on it is crazy. My pictures look so sharp omg
Finally back after a half short break that was the hell of finals, woo
