I decided art school wasn't worth the money.

cueball is a lucky twat and gets it free, i am paying £9000 a year when I go
http://www.saas.gov.uk/
he lives in wisconsin I'd say apply to Eau Claire, it's a well rounded school with a good arts program, see if you qualify for the pell grant and some scholarships. I've been visiting there for a number of years, fiance's finishing up her last semester this spring and if all else fails, make a trip up to the norske nook because pie also what about whitewater that's a bit smaller and closer I think
rig up a giant deviant art watermark or istock's logo with cross-lines all over also all you guys need is an optical slave hot shoe ($10-20) and to make one of these (old broken camera + attaching your current flash when you want and it's practically free) http://www.diyphotography.net/convert-your-old-camera-to-a-backdrop-projector-in-10-easy-steps his optical trigger appears to be a bit heftier than the budget option, though his setup is clearly meant for catching the flash off more distant targets with a long lens (thus smaller projection from farther away)
My sb800 has a mode that triggers when any other flashes fire, not sure if that's normal for most flashes though. I've done it to friends by holding the flash up to myself so they couldn't get a photo of me :v:
600 and a number of other (cheaper) flashes require an IR signal with their slave mode, as far as I can tell. Maybe they actually use pure optical and the little port is coated red to filter anything but bright spots or something, and I've been horribly mistaken

Accepted to both but neither has any kind on film major. (Eau Claire might have but I just didn't like the size of the school, I can't remember) I'm Almost 100% going to UW Oshkosh. They have a really nice RTF program and they have this intern program where they get every one of ther students into the industry. Cue, if I wanted to go to art school, take Colombia College for example, I'd have to pay $46,000 a year. Of course, they give out grants and what not but it still ends up being $30,000+ every year...
Eau Claire is a tough one to muster if you're not used to the cold. The bridge over the river that divides the campus was listed as one of the 10 coldest places in the [continental] US, clocked out at -40 a year or two ago. Hit -15 with -30 chill today, but we all know this was a weird spike [editline]22nd January 2013[/editline]
you could just glue a lens onto a flash or something aswell and have it fire optically when it detects another flash (does it do that through the flash aswell?)
the reason for the camera body is that the flashed image needs to be at the lense's focal plane, which is where the film sits at the back. That way it's in focus
i forgot how to edit [editline]22nd January 2013[/editline] :(
Welp, just sold my camera :( now to wait for my taxes

only if the source is at the focus plane
you could still do this though http://www.flickr.com/photos/airchinapilot/2127771977/
you could, just make sure the image you want to project is at the right distance from the lens mount if you want it in focus [editline]24th January 2013[/editline] if you use a camera body, might be easier to do something like insert a developed negative in there to use as your projection [editline]24th January 2013[/editline] i suppose as well if you're trying to do this to other people's photos who are using flash, without being noticed, if you use a camera body you might look slightly less conspicuous

got a question tokina 11-16mm has very deep depth of field past 6ft right? but if i attached a 77mm close up filter to the front, could i get more depth of field at a really wide angle?
It'll just focus closer.
wide DoF can only realistically be achieved with being up close, or by pano stitching. but the size of the viewing of the photo (say 4x6) will affect perceived DoF. While it might not actually be deep, it will always look deeper the smaller the photo is viewed.
ah right, it's just with some anamorphics you get closer focus using diopters and close up filters, okay cool pano stitching isn't an option as we're talking video
what about tilt-shift and schemephuflhungauhgntuflng principle
I guess shift would work, but those are expensive and the widest one is 17mm which isn't that wide on aps-c and blurs in a different way, not due to distance. What is the second thing you are referring to?

My co-worker told me about this thing native people and people in Tibet do where they take some natural drug and go on a pilgrimage or something. They go out with people, trip for 3 days and survive in the great outdoors. Does that sound great or what?
king of the hill had an episode like that
beats watching Parenthood on ketamine at the hotel.
Some Australians here might have heard of these deals on Grays over the past couple of days, which quickly went out of stock, but for some reason have come back in stock, and at the same price. Best case scenario Grays Online actually honour their "pricing error", worst case scenario I end up with 3 L Lens mugs... It would be amazing if this gets honoured though, it probably won't though.
