blown my fucking mind
Hey guys all my film photos have come as jpgs and I barely edit them can I join in too?
I never shoot RAW either. Can I join?
i shewt rawr
I always shoot rrerr
I don't know what you guys are talking about, on my digital single lens reflex camera I always have my photos rendered in the .RAW format.
I always just set my camera to jpeg. I just couldn't get my head around how to handle a raw file. But now I'm on a mac, it can preview the raw photos - which wetted my appetite a little. Now I've finally managed to figure out how to open a raw file in photoshop, I think I'll be sticking to it... All the issues which were stopping me including the raw stage in my workflow have gone, so I now see no reason not to shoot in nef. By the way, what's Canon's raw format called?
.CR2
Just got my hands on a 135mm F/2L kewl
Very cool lens, i had it when i was in new york city. Such a sharp lens with good bokeh...
i'm just going to pretend i've never heard the phrase "creamy bokeh"

Is this a good price for scans? http://www.4photolab.com/Pages/price_digital.html
Tomorrow I'll be attending a small car show and taking pictures of cars made before 1950, and hopefully by Wednesday I'll be able to share those+ my two other rolls and get some criticism for my first serious photos.
oh holy shit tomorrow I'm doing video work for a model agency and I'm basically videoing a model/acting shoot and the two photographers there are pretty high up there like they've taken photos of celebrities and professional models going to attempt to get some work exp also getting together a 500px just in case
Just went to a talk by Duncan Ewan, with the university's photo society. Good stuff, all film slides too, no digital projection. http://www.dmcewanphotography.co.uk/ The jpegs on a monitor don't really do justice, but he's got one of the best eyes for composition that I've ever seen.
No, never. Not even once.
Me neither. Unless I know for certain there's a chance whitebalance or colors will fuck up.
[img]http://midlandsastronomyclub.org/gallery/2008pics/su08an.gif[/img] This is something I want to do.

sorry if this isn't the right place to ask, but is fredmiranda.com a reliable site for buying used equipment? I want to buy a body used so that I can put more money toward lenses [editline]1[/editline] also any recommendations for other used camera sites would be appreciated
So I decided to stop down a little bit.
The physical hole must be like... 0.1 millimeters across.
So I decided to stop down a little bit.
just fucking IMAGINE the DoF
surely at that f stop there would be little or no DoF?
That's what I meant, your focus would have to be like, nanometrically spot-on
you guys both seem to have it backwards... at f57 there would be huge depth of field, from less than a metre in front of the camera to infinity is likely. your focus could be wildly off and still produce a ridiculously sharp image.
More depth of field means more is in focus.
