The last night [del]will be a Diana, and you will wake up dead[/del] a Mamiya will fall from the sky, through the ceiling and smashing into the drawer, instantly sublimating the Diana before it can strike. The Mamiya will be perfectly intact and Blaze will go ahead and pick it up. He will wake up IRL with the Mamiya in his hands and a profound sense of enlightenment.
Bopie do you do any writing at all? Like poetry or stuff

this; also even if it didn't, the retina has pretty much the shape of a hemisphere, instead of being flat
Just got my first roll of film back.
they all suck
One of my friends found a Autoreflex TC. I know nothing of Film cameras and was wondering if anyone had one or knows anything about it?

just konica's version of the film SLR. good camera, depending on the lens you have on it. notable for having the shortest flange distance among SLR cameras, so theoretically you could adapt other glass to it (though i don't know if such adapters exist). what lens is on it? I know the 40mm f1.8 lens is highly regarded as being a great pancake for the system
Hexanon 50mm 1.7
yeah that's a sharp nice lens. it's not the best camera ever (featurewise lacking compared to competition) but that lens is good and should take awesome pictures provided you know how to use it
If not I can learn and I just hope it's clean
:( I had to go take photos for some slightly formal event at school, first time, I thought it'd be a good idea to bring flash to get some sharp pictures. Bounced it off the ceilings and still got hard light, then I got nervous and didn't take many good photos. Took photos whilst the flash was recycling .. underexposed etc.
Basically not a good job at all. Anyone got tips for next time? And maybe some resources I could read? Up to that point I've pretty much only have like experience under controlled environments and well public events. But I felt so much was at stake this time, with the school relying on me.

They've been resized just to keep the upload quick. Tried to move around get some different angles and different perspectives and keep it interesting. Some doohickeys with the flash and just bad decision making cause I was so nervous.
Think the first mistake was bringing a 24 and 50 on a 1.5x crop and I don't really get the TTL FP BL whatever on the flash.

I think most of the pictures came out ok. These kind of events don't require you to take artsy-fartsy pictures, you just have to take pictures of the event. I can see where you messed up, those pictures are usually under-exposed. Can't give you good advice on this except for the obvious; Wait until your flash is ready. It's also a good idea to have your camera in fully manual mode. It seems that the lighting inside doesn't change so if you take a testshot and keep the settings where it looks the best, chances are you won't screw up exposure and shit.
Something different: People will want to see the pictures they're on. So make sure you capture everybody with a few shots. It doesn't matter if this is the same shot over and over, just make sure you have a clear picture of them. If you succeeded this then you can look into getting different shots.
Oh and if you have a diffuser on your flash, you could also just shoot the flash forward in some cases. Remember that if you bounce the flash off the ceiling, it will give it a tint. You bounced it off a white ceiling so that's no problem, but would you bounce it off a yellow ceiling, it would also give you a yellow cast.
Just got back from the beach.
And I can right now safely say, that this time was probably the best astrophotography session I've had so far in my life. Camera is currently recharging so pics will be up later.
But if you want some sneekpeek words.
Imagine this, Jupiter and Venus (right now at 13'th March they are as close to each other as they get), clear night sky, horizon and an Aurora.
Shit was cash.

Thanks that's a massive help. Obvious or not, that was all really helpful information to me :) I never thought of switching to Manual for consistency. I guess I should make some cheap diy diffusers, at the moment, I'm using an SB-900 with white gel.
Thanks so much for the advice. Gotta improve and prepare myself for next time. I can't wait to cover my school's Multicultural day. It's gonna be massive, got a photography group, vlog group and timelapse of the day organised. Hopefully by then I'll have improved.
Found a sweet advertising photo from National Geographic in 2001 I picked up at a charity shop. Will scan it in soon and post it up here. I think it will be appreciated :)
So, like and idiot, I went to a party on Saturday night. Took some MDMA and got the massive urge to look/show the national geographic to everyone in the room. I left it there.
It's disappeared now. Sorry guys. Will keep an eye out for it in future.
It was a kodak advert and it was so sweet.
Applying for an exchange semester in Toronto or Brisbane. Never had much interest in Australia but when I think about it, if I can survive the creepy crawlies it would be pretty awesome.

Would be ironical if one of your friends laughed at you while that happens and he laughs so hard he can't breath because of the laughing and he dies
I've never had any srs drugs

8/10 times I'm taking photos, I'm usually a little stoned or drunk.
