Yeah, I live in Stockholm so finding a place with lots of people isn't a problem. The problem is actually asking people to be in the portrait. I really feel like I'm intruding. :v:
How old are you and why do you have a photography class, hnnnghgng jelly
I'm too tired to find a way of phrasing it but look for people who are "seen by strangers" often
Like, bartenders and fast food vendors and old people in parks and such

I'm 17 and do it as an A Level here in merry ol' England, basically my teacher has learnt now that my creativity is so random that he gives me weird objects to shoot for my course and i get top marks, easy grades babyyyy
Alright, I've realized the ASKING part isnt a problem. The problem is that I'm too fixated on WHO to take photos of :L

shoot in one or the other, because different things make them good.
I know what you mean, but I disagree. I think you should still shoot in color, with the mindset of the picture ultimately being in black & white. But you only lose out by not ever shooting the scene with color.
One massive tip I can give for candids is to look for couples or groups, the individuals will feel pressured to impress their SO or friends.
Photoshoot over. Got 6 photos of 4 people :suicide:
I'll probably go out to a more populated area on Saturday, snap some more shots along with landscapes and shit.
CS6 beta is out. Incoming facebook bokeh abuse.

I think 63 is a very good price, i would take it.
Too bad you only ship to US continent, i think if you'd ship it worldwide you will get more potential buyers and most likely sell it faster for a higher price (keep in mind the US Dollar is cheaper for people in europe and the UK) , and shipping internationally isn't that hard either.
I'd say this opinion comes from your mirrorless shooting, in which if you choose to shoot B&W in cam, you can see the scene previewed as B&W before you take the photo.
oh that actually makes a lot of sense, i've never even thought of that difference

Aye, but shipping costs are outrageous.
Wow there are so many people who are currently taking a photography course their highschools offer. I'm guessing that "modular credit-based pick-your-courses" highschool system I've heard they use in the US is also used in a bunch of other countries?
not really, mines an A-Level course thats offered by one of the exam boards my school uses

Credit? As in money-payed? Nope. It's an open school. Government pays for the whole thing (they take a percentage from the taxes).
The educational system over here is rather simple. When you enter the three years of senior high school, you can search and apply to be in a school of pretty much any sort.
Media (aka Photography/Graphics), Medical/Healthcare, Nature/Biology, Building/Construction, Daycare/Children (teacher), Art, Engineering, Hotel/Restaurant...
Pretty much anything, really.

As long as the people buy it pay for it themselves i don't see a problem

So I might be heading out to a market on sunday and I'm heading straight to the antiques section to look for a TLR. Is there anything I should look out for in terms of good working conditions for the camera?

I don't trust curly haired people.

Pull every lever and press every button at least 5 times to make sure it works properly. If you're looking for SLR medium format stuff watch out for mirror lock up problems.
scanning some stuff from early december when I was in melbourne. I've been so lazy with scanning lately.
i am extremely pleased with photos i've taken today! can't wait to get most edited and whatnot, and uploaded here
