K-R BUDDY!
they're pretty decent for entry level dslr's really
Phone was stolen a few days ago. Was talking with some officers/School Detective and they have nothing and have said that ill probably not get it back. So i'm stuck with a slide phone for the next 6 months until I can get a new phone. Sucks that I have to deal with seeing the person everyday yet not know it's them.
is this the new number you texted me from like two weekends ago?
also I shot that storm last thursday and it got into the local tribune's top 10 pics of the week
http://365-ish.tumblr.com/post/22674019367/62
shot it in JPG by accident and raw processed it to shit so I guess it's like a hobo-tone-mapped-pseudo-HDR thing
people love that and I feel bad because the light halos are so annoying
yeah light halos are shitty, but you could always go in and mask them, minimizing their presence by dropping the exposure slightly. It's more effort, but it can be worth it if you have an amazing looking shot that's ruined due to halos, especially if it just looks blander when you drop the clarity to a point where they aren't there
here you guys know about cars prolly because you own one or know someone who owns one
what kind of transport do you guys use? and when did you get it?
I drive a car that I received from my grandmother about a year and a half ago.
I might go to Vancouver for four weeks next january to study English abroad
Would be a fucking awesome thing to do
A page late but Vancouver is gorgeous, I live here and I love it here. Its a very unique place but in January its mostly rain and coldness :v: If I were to visit I'd probably try to go for Juneish, however if it snows nicely in January it sure can be amazing.
And on another note I've been thinking about breaking out my flash for my Minolta and getting some portraits with terrible lighting, any one try this before? Anyone think its worth it? I just don't think I've reached the possible level of hipster with a 30 year old Minolta.

made a video this afternoon
not enough lensflares

KNEW I WAS MISSING SOMETHING
When you do the next just add a bonus 360° no scope for additional production value.
So I was delighted my 16mm Sony outperforms my 17mm canon fd at all apertures, especially corners. Was not expecting that at all, for an aps-c pancake that is said to be one of the worst lenses of all time outperform a highly regarded full frame lens on aps-c. Going to have to use the 16mm more!

Hmm, just one of the signs how optical formulas have changed over the years. Was not expecting the FD 17mm to be worse than the Sony 16mm though...

The thing is run by my english college and is only on January, I love cold weather and rain though.

Same here, was pleasantly surprised. The corner performance is the biggest difference, though the canon has much better color cast. I'll post some examples if you'd like!
Made a short film with my buddy (one seen with Neil deGrasse Tyson)
Can't wait to edit and whatnot. (Me on the right, I was the supporting actor)

Beats the shit out of doing an individual frame export and batch process. Freeze at the first frame for SOOC. Processing might be on the strong side, just came up with a new action that I'm not quite used to.
Dem tones
So you post-processing artist people, how would I go in terms of achieving this look
Or is that like rotoscoped or something, I can't tell.

The most important part of the process is taking up painting.
these settings should do

also yeah that stuff is painted (but still really compressed so it's got some artifactiness going on there)
then you can use one of those paint dab type filters once you've got it compressed like that
Trying to imagine what a better way to have the title could be. Have a go if you please.

i do think that the titles you've used don't give it the best look it could have. Maybe it would have benefitted with more headroom to allow text. Try and look at other movie posters for reference and fonts.
-snip fuck it-
ill be back with what i can
I'm gonna try

I've been thinking of saving up for some Tritium keychains ($30 each), this isn't a deciding factor, but I think they'd make for some interesting pictures too.

I like the orange one.
$30 seems a bit much, i've had a blue one for ages and it cost about $13 or so (then again this was about 7 years ago)

I'm curious as to what you had.

Added more headspace.
Will have to do the same for the original.

I cleaned it up before I was going to start on it.

I'll do that again once you get the original with more head-space up, then get to work.
SO, I'm going to start developing my own film, using a c-41 process kit, and I got my shopping list down. My question is, what film scanner do I buy?
