Does it have radioactive paint, mercury batteries and soldered together with lead solder?
Does it have radioactive paint, mercury batteries and soldered together with lead solder?
The paint is not radioactive, no batteries, and so no solder. Its mechanical.
Solder is still used to seal the pins on the strap.

I kinda want to go and print a bunch of pictures I've taken to have them around my room, printed stuff is so much better than files. Also, guys, matte or glossy? I prefer the former.
You just love showing off that pyramid of film rolls don't you
Its the only part of my room that is slightly organised or has space for me to take a photo of anything
How do you guys control upgrade urges? I haven't even began to scratch the surface of photography yet and I'm genuinely contemplating buying an X-pro 1, yet I know that my pictures won't be better and that I need to get better myself in order for it to reflect in my photos, but I still can't stop wanting that X-pro 1 and I've hovered my mouse over "confirm order" more times than I'd like to admit.

I buy old stuff instead and then if it sucks I sell it for more than I bought it for That's why I love my nex. Can have any lens I want
i need urgent advice: how do i photograph the sun lmao there is an eclipse starting in less than an hour and i thought it'd be neat to get a photo but i wanted to know what would be the best way to have my camera set up in order to get a relatively clear shot of the eclipse, without a ton of halos and too much brightness right now i have the shutter speed up at like 1/4000, ISO at 100 and the photos come out decent but there's still quite a bit of glare from the sun, any way to reduce the halo around the sun?
1. Don't look at the sun and don't expose the sensor to it for too long (like in live-view for example). 2. It'll be darker when the eclipse comes, so compensate for that. 3. Look on flickr for eclipse pics and see what their settings were.
Use a polarizer? I just got a polarizer today in a Craigslist deal, was rotating it and being all wowed by it cutting reflections, then i accidentally rotated it off and it broke Was really funny, at least I know how to use my 49mm one now :P

found this shot of the eclipse, over china god damn

Also I love empty roads they're great "subjects" if you know what you're doing
found this shot of the eclipse, over china god damn
I love that physical effect people use by using very high mm lenses/cropping tight so that it leaves the sun/moon fully in the frame but also a building that was very far away.. makes the building look closer and the sun/moon look HUUUUGE.. very clever forced perspective
Wait, there was an eclipse? Fuck. Yesterday I was at a friend's, and I recalled it going dark when we were outside at some point. I didn't really care as usually clouds do that. Maybe it was clouds. I don't even know the date. I spent last night and the past few hours recovering a photo, and failing to recover another. I also managed to recover an upwards of 20 RAW files that I wrongfully converted.
going out to buy a monopod today
Summer came early to Sweden this year. It's only May and we're already hitting temps of 22+. If nothing turns up and the skies are as crystal clear as now I'm hitting town on Saturday with a waterbottle, shorts, and my camera.
oh shit man a whole 22 degrees, i'm so envious of you our summers are like 45 (australia)
Isn't it Winter in Australia right now? I can't remember.
Wait, there was an eclipse? Fuck.
solar eclipse, once every 20 or so years I think doesn't matter for me because it was behind trees and clouds and crap I did take a snazzy cell phone pic though [t]http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m4cmewUEOG1r223xwo1_1280.jpg[/t] wish I aimed a bit higher but I was in a hurry to leave
How do I make my pictures not look shit? I don't have a high quality DSLR or anything, just a mid-range bridge camera. Every picture I take just looks bad to me.
post processing. The curve editor in photoshop is your friend, or if you're adventurous you can do an "Open As..." and choose camera RAW to edit the .jpg files with the raw editor, which should help bring out the best of your pictures.
going out to buy a monopod today
back. it's a nice monopod.
