I'll be going on a 6 day trip with my bio teacher and other students as a summer school/tranquilizer bears and learn about the environment kinda thing. Tents every night and cheap food. I'll be able to get up close bears, and probably go into areas where man rarely visits. Any advice for taking pictures of large animals or landscape shots? Obvious advice would help. Annd, I have 8 rolls of film that need to be developed, hopefully you'll be able to see improvement.

Just got back from a 4 day hostelling trip to Skye. Expect a picture dump soon.
Just got back from a 4 day hostelling trip to Skye. How did you fix that exactly? Changing and assigning various color profiles doesn't do anything but make it worse by making my editing area lighter I need a friggin spyder calibrator
I need a friggin spyder calibrator
Me too man; and a new graphicscard. My GTX275 broke on me :( Running on a Ati HD2400 Pro at the moment, which only can run NFS Porsche 2000/Unleashed without lag on my screen.

Use save for web, embed color profile and unchack convert to sRGB then save your pic. I've been on my feet for 12 hours today, I'm going to bed.
seems to have worked, thanks. I also need to figure out why my secondary monitor is so retarded, the color management actually goes out of its way to turn things yellow [t]http://i.imgur.com/n5bHO.jpg[/t] opening photoshop I always get this but there's nothing that's fixed it yet photoshop and image viewers do it harshly, and just viewing things feels dim/offcolor on the internet. Not sure if you can see it well but there's a tone of gray on facepunch that's neutral, then one that's a light blue tint. the blue is bordering this text editing box and it's all over a FP profile 'about' page. I can see it plain as day on this monitor but screencaps show it as a normal gray on the other. bleh

Not sure where the right place was to post this, but I was looking through the photos on ffffl*ckr, which brings up a bunch of flickr photos, and you click on ones you like, which brings up the photographer's favourites. So I was clicking around... and well... THIS (nsfw) came up. wut.
I went to Manchester Velodrome with my dad a few days ago, got a facebook album of all the photos. I took so many I haven't edited any so they are all SOOC if anyone would mind checking them out? Hard to tell with facebook's crappy compression.
not helpful in the slightest and to be honest it isn't even that bad...
[thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11323379/DSC_2634.jpg[/thumb] Why is it so grainy at ISO 200? Is it lightroom fucking with my pics when I import them or is it my camera (d7000)?
Ever had a "photographer's instinct" kick in at a completely inappropriate time? In Skyrim, I was wandering around the plains when I found a horde of Forsworn fighting an equal amount of Imperials. In the middle of the battle, a dragon came along and toasted most of the Forsworn, while me and the Imperials whaled on it and murdered it. Then the Imperials did the standard "gawking" behavior when a dragon is killed, but they stood on top of this rock for some reason. I immediately switched to no HUD and took a screenshot.
Reminds me of a quote. I've seen many variations, but this was the lowest banana: "If you would find yourself in a situation where you could either save a drowning man, or you could take a Pulitzer prize winning photograph of him drowning, what shutter speed and aperture would you use?"
1/4000 f/2.8
not helpful in the slightest and to be honest it isn't even that bad...
the compression is pretty bad, overall, but they probably aren't too bad on those photos in comparison to some of the results i've had for me it just always looks like it's uploaded at say, 800x600 or a bit higher then stretched to the browser window
you are going to be disappointed.
Twixtor is cool man, I've dicked around with it a bit. Granted that the camera is stationary, and you know how to use it correctly (need to generate motion paths and stuff else wise it just tries to blend random shit, that's where you get weird errors) it works quite well.. I used it in bf3 videos :p [editline]1st June 2012[/editline] [t]http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/578169_245117768930120_100002956952106_432842_915508540_n.jpg[/t] what i'm currently working on, it's a trace of this Chronic Atomic by Inzalonus, on Flickr long ass way to go, colour is only temporary atm, I plan on shading it maybe, but Idk if I can be assed

Today was my first day working at a one of three big camera stores in the Netherlands (FYI for the dutch ppl here, it's Kamera Express). I already absolutely love working there. Already sold a shitload of awesome equipment today, including a EOS 7D and 5D Mark III. I'm really feeling like a kid in a candystore.

I got a Holga 120 for my birthday a couple weeks ago, my first film was developped and I don't really know what to expect. Especially since A. It's a Holga; B. It's my first roll of film; C. First camera I own. Anyway, I'm getting it tomorrow. I'll show you something if there's anything worthwhile!
Inzalonus I love your photography but your artwork is due a little work. I hate to be the one to say anything about it.
