wow, i would love to be able to do something like that!
I have quite the issue with making things worse as I start to fiddle with small pieces.
But the clockwork of a camera is something quite amazing.
Might take my dads old chinon ca-4 apart, no one uses it so it won't matter too much if i break it
Whats the average cost to get a roll of B&W devolved? Just for the negs
Theres only one shop I know of that develops B&W near me and I'm sure it costs a bit more than color neg development

Some super-pretty girl took a pic every day for 5.5 years:

So I'm going to be taking some portraits of a friend for his resume. What kind of tips do you guys give for headshots? He's doing it for a casting call for a movie.
I've never done this kind of stuff before, and if I'm honest I'm not too keen on doing this frequently. I just want to help him out.

Might as well post the other pics here

Here's a video with Peter Hurley, maybe it helps:

Can you link it?
For some reason, vimeo videos start automatically when the page is loaded.
Also, hi again, I just got unbanned after being banned accidentally :|
Theres only one shop I know of that develops B&W near me and I'm sure it costs a bit more than color neg development
Really? B&W cost more color?
I went back into the shop and it seems that its only slightly more than color. I think its daft personally, but then again with black and white I don't think you can just dump it in a machine.
Hmm, any recommendations for color film? I've never shot with color with my Super and I really want to try.
I like Kodak gold 200 and Fuji superia 400
Portra 160, portra 400 and ektar 100
Poundland film.
I'm personally a huge fan of Fuji superia 400, and Kodak Ektar is also great, I have tried porta 160 wasn't really impressed with the quality for the price.
Ektar 100

ive only ever used poundland film and it survived my back being opened 3 times on a roll and still came out fine, stuff is insane
For me, film is film. I'll take whatever is available to me at the time.
guys i don't know what to do, my AS level results came in today and my photography grade is two boundaries down to what it should be and i did crap in everything else
guys i don't know what to do, my AS level results came in today and my photography grade is two boundaries down to what it should be and i did crap in everything else
What grade did you get?
a C
You need to talk to your professor, we can't really help. Just ask why you are getting the grade you are, and how to do better in the course. Show him you are willing to do what it takes to improve. I did that with my photo journalism class when I had a C, got it up to an A with a lot of effort.

Mate, I got an C grade at A2 level.
Don't worry about it.
cheers guys, i just felt so down because they had told me i was deserving an A :(
I was thinking about entering a few of my pictures into a local photography contest. I am unsure of which one's I can enter. The categories are, Nature, Portrait, General, Four Seasons and Around the Town.
Can you guys maybe help me decide on which one's I should enter?
For starters, do you live in a more urban or rural environment? If you live in the middle of a developed city and don't have a solid means of transportation, getting a good nature shot might be more difficult than around the town.
Go for all of them, and decide which ones you like best after
Looking at your photostream, you're probably going to have a stronger chance if you stick with nature.
Honestly they're so broad (general? come on!) I'd enter something into each category. Depending on the rules of course.
So it's my responsibility to take the first ever picture of my goddaughter when she's born, potentially tomorrow. Absolutely not shitting myself, and absolutely not looking at Blaze's photo of his sister for a few tips.
Well I'm sure i could help in some way. Are you shooting digital or film?
