How is it that Ivy looks more human all of a sudden? I was really anxious to see how good she'd look with the new engine and instead we get someone who's just kinda green and has some flowers.
Really the only way I could see[sp]Joker[/sp]coming back is in a fear gas hallucination even then it would feel a bit forced.
Maaan, I'm watching the trailer from europe and you know our date order is different to the U.S. so the first second the release date 06.02.2015 appeared I was like : "WTF? How did I miss this masterpiece and why weren't there any reviews?" and the 2nd second I just thought ... "Oh, America..."

The only way to know for sure which number is which is to see if one of them is greater than 12

Taymour Ghazi?
As bad as some elements of the AO story were (like Black Mask being Joker and the 8 assassins getting completely punked) I do think it still had some good points. It easily had the best version of Bane from the games and I enjoyed the Joker/Harley section

Nick from Left4Dead 2?!
The Arkham Knight better not be joker.
Yes, I know he's supposed to be dead.
but joker is dead according to arkham city
i hope they dont fucking pull the classic old joker move again, he is such a boring villain at this point after appearing in 3 games, and there are lots more villains with much more potential than joker
b-but... mark hamill :c
I really hope they significantly tuned up the combat. It's great for crowds, but for 1v1 combat, it's horrible, which is why so many of the boss fights have been shit.
I'm so ready for this game. Hoping they don't pull a Rockstar and delay it again.

Yeah, it's weird. Think Riddler and more look different too. http://www.reddit.com/r/batman/comments/2x8lpi/batman_arkham_knight_amaa_with_rocksteady_studios/ Keep an eye out.
The character designs are significantly uglier and vastly inferior compared to the previous two Arkham games.

In my opinion they completely improved. Especially Two Face and Ivy.

I respectfully disagree a 100%, but I am glad that people like them.

Most characters who look different can at least be chalked up to progression of time, it's been a year since City. Ivy looking like that is considerably harder to explain.
Origins wasn't better than City, but on its own it was fine. Combat's just as good and it has the best boss battles of the series. The only real problem it has is that it doesn't do much of anything new and the story isn't as strong as the other games, although it has some REALLY good moments. For a fledgling team, they did a great job with it.
I'm happy to see Rocksteady's next installment though, with how impressive City was, I don't expect anything less than brilliance from them
I've not played Origins so maybe my opinion is somewhat invalidated, but I don't like the idea that Batman first met a bunch of his unaffiliated major villains on the same night by coincidence.

Origins barely makes sense story-wise, starting at the premise. Black Mask hires 8 assassins to kill someone (for 50 million dollars, mind you) who is ostensibly still an urban legend or a myth, barely being taken seriously by anyone.
Origins was a buggy piece of un-finishable shit that should have never happened. Repetitive copy pasted qte boss fights, buggy combat that didn't always trigger the right responses, and some parts of the maps were un accessible due to bugs that weren't fixed until about 2 weeks after the game was released (that fucking riddler tower). And not to mention the game breaking bug(infinite loop qte fight with joker) that they never bothered to fix because they wanted to focus on ?multiplayer dlc?
The previous two games were incredible, my only hopes is that nobody lets Splash Damage near their franchise ever again.

Yeah, it's the weakest story wise in the series. I think the gameplay makes it plenty worth a play though, especially if you can get it on sale.

It wasn't really that buggy for me. I never felt the boss fights were really repetitive either, the Deathstroke fight was fantastic (although it should have happened much later in the game), and the Bane boss fight felt way more fitting for him than the one we got in Asylum. Way better boss fights in general than the ones we got in Asylum, which were all pretty much just reskinned versions of the Bane boss fight (with the exception of Scarecrow's fight)
You're right though, the multiplayer stuff was kinda silly and shouldn't have been involved
I played Origins this past winter, and while I didn't have a terrible time I didn't exactly have a great one either. The story was kinda weak (there were points that I loved but the way they strung it together was not fitting), the combat was tweaked just enough to be a little more infuriating (the armored thugs are noticeably harder to determine compared to City), and there's still a few glitches to be had that really should've been polished out (batman's cape kept opening and closing for me multiple times throughout my playthrough)
Overall, I don't regret playing it, but considering this is what we're going to deal with now that Rocksteady's getting out of the picture, I'm a little fearful for the future of the franchise.

The Deathstroke was one of the worst boss fights I had to get through. No challenge. Just mash attack until the part where you are either pushed away or have to press block at the right time (actually making the fluid combat mechanics into QTEs). Then after a while comes the mash button sequence from Ra's al Ghul fight. At best you can speed up the fight with the grappling gun in the first few moments.
I defended the game before but don't make me remember the boss fights.
I figured the franchise would just end with Rocksteady. I hadn't considered that it would carry on being milked.

Fair enough. I found them fun and way better in general to Asylum in my personal taste, so, I dunno what else to say other than agree to disagree. I can understand your point though.
I'm not saying they're the best in the series or that Origins is even better than Asylum, but I found it okay as its own game.
Are they implying that they're giving you the whole city
for real?

I assume there'll be points where you'll be barded off, like the Wayne Towers and all that usual stuff. Still, it's supposedly five times the size of City (which itself was five times the size of Asylum), so there'll definitely be a lot of stuff to explore in the batmobile.
I keep meaning to pick up a copy of City at some point. After playing Asylum (thank you muchly PS+), I really want to see how they improved it. Asylum was great fun apart from the boss fights, which played it far too safe and stuck to the boring old cliche fight types. With too much "rule of three" might I add.

The boss fights are better in City, mainly because there's more than just the same one over and over again. There's plenty of other improvements to be had, however, and I hope you'll enjoy it.
I might be the minority here but it almost felt origins was made to appeal to me Joker and Bane are my favourite batman villains and to have the both of them running the show was pretty damn awesome for me, as well as the portrayal of Bane made me happy it met the right medium of strong and intelligent
I haven't beat Origins yet, but I really liked the deathstroke fight.
For me it feels like the point of the combat is to look awesome, and the deathstroke fight accomplished that.
