YKnow, everyone says Rocksteady should tackle Superman next, but, I'd prefer if they didnt use the big two and maybe used some other members of the DC universe. I mean, how awesome would a Flash game be?
I want rocksteady to make an IP after this tbh.
I might be the minority here but it almost felt origins was made to appeal to me Joker and Bane are my favourite batman villains and to have the both of them running the show was pretty damn awesome for me, as well as the portrayal of Bane made me happy it met the right medium of strong and intelligent
Hey, I love the interpretations of them as well. My biggest problem was how they went about it. [sp]First of all, they put the "Possible origins of the joker??" bit in the middle of the game, where it would have fit better at the end. Not to mention the fact that it's canon that Harley and Joker met back at the Asylum, not in Blackgate. The plot of Bane learning who Batman is and attacking the Batcave would have been amazing if we didn't already know he'd forget eventually, and even the climax with Alfred would have been much better, had it been done /at the climax/. Instead, we have Batman go to Blackgate for no reason, just to make Bane forget the plotpoint and have a weird QTE section with Joker. I really did not like how the game went down in it's later half.[/sp] This is one of the first games I've wanted to write a fullscale review for, it's interesting how much I can say what I saw wrong about it.

It also allows for lesser known villains and side-heroes and characters to get a chance in the spotlight. They could use aspects of David S Goyer's film script wherein he is sent to a high-tech prison with many A, B, and C-list villains some of which he put away. Either that or do a Suicide Squad game where you play as Deathstroke or something.
Lobo game Feat. The Mask. The real one, not the Jim Carrey one. Forego DC. We need a proper Hellboy game.
but joker is dead according to arkham city i hope they dont fucking pull the classic old joker move again, he is such a boring villain at this point after appearing in 3 games, and there are lots more villains with much more potential than joker
Watch the whole thing. It's worth it. Nothing concrete, sadly.
It's [sp]The Joker.[/sp]
I will flip shit if that happens
I want rocksteady to make an IP after this tbh.
I want a modern SpiderMan game made by them. Soooo much potential.
Rocksteady should be the only developers to handle any superhero game from now on, imo.
It's funny that the most unexpected outcome would be Arkham Knight being an entirely new character we've never seen before
It's funny that the most unexpected outcome would be Arkham Knight being an entirely new character we've never seen before
I just want to see Cassandra Cain in a game or cartoon.
I haven't beat Origins yet, but I really liked the deathstroke fight. For me it feels like the point of the combat is to look awesome, and the deathstroke fight accomplished that.
One of the few things I know about Origins is that the Deathstroke fight recycles [sp]the exact animations from when you fight Ra's Al Ghul[/sp] in City, twice. This part: Compare to 8:38.
Glad I wasn't the only person to notice that. I enjoyed the Deathstroke fight but it was a mish-mash of other mechanics and, as a result, a bit messy and untidy.
It's pretty common knowledge most of the boss fights uses mechanics from other bosses in City. Killer Croc - combination of Titan/Twin (the one-armed guys from City) Deathstroke - straigh-up animations/parts from Ra's fight + turning blocking into QTE Copperhead - just ninja ladies + recycled Ra's attack charge Firefly - it could be compared to the Poison Ivy fight in Asylum with some Clayface mechanics there, too Bane - Titan with super homing charge and invulnerability state Some of these are alright, Firefly was okay and Copperhead fight used the strength of the combat system against group of enemies. But the rest are just Frankensteins of previous fights there were pretty exciting and interesting in City.

The fights were fun enough, it just felt that some of them lacked a little something to make them really sing and stand out.
Holy fuck, its rated M. We need more Superhero games, and with balls too. Im looking at you Marvel. Wheres Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 you fucks. [editline]28th February 2015[/editline] Like, correct me if im wrong, but from the big two, Marvel and DC, theres only ever been 2 other games to get an M rating, Punisher, and X-Men Origins Wolverine, both marvel movie tie-ins, too.
About the M rating. I actually thought they had it before. There's a lot of dark shit in all previous games. The only thing I can say there isn't much blood in all of them.

Which makes me wonder what the fuck they're doing in this game thats dark enough that it got an M, if the others didnt.

I think it'll be the coolest shit if when you land on a car, it deforms. The harder the drop, the more the roof caves
I want rocksteady to make an IP after this tbh.
or maybe a sequel to urban chaos
So everyone saw that Batman uppercutted a guy into the air and then proceeded to have the Batmobile fire a rubber bullet at his spine while in mid-air right? Because that was awesome. Also I guess this means Rocksteady do treat Origins as canon since that Firefly design was from Origins. As well as that the Electrocutioner re-appeared in the AK prequel comic [sp]He got his ass kicked by Batman and then executed by the Arkham Knight.[/sp]
Wait. [sp]Didnt Electrocutioner die like a little punk bitch in Origins?[/sp]
Wait. [sp]Didnt Electrocutioner die like a little punk bitch in Origins?[/sp]
Yeah, [sp]Joker threw him out a window.[/sp]
Nope. T rating for all of them. Which makes me wonder what the fuck they're doing in this game thats dark enough that it got an M, if the others didnt.
Thankfully, according to an interview, they got an M without actually thinking "We need to make this one the most bloody." It totally makes sense, they were probably doing what they were doing with the other games and the detail simply caught up with them.
Yeah, [sp]Joker threw him out a window.[/sp]

Wait. [sp]Didnt Electrocutioner die like a little punk bitch in Origins?[/sp]
One of his goons ends up stealing his stuff and tries to take on Batman right after AC. funny how people are wowed over it getting an M rating while here in Australia it hasn't changed (the last 3 games got this country's equivalent of M)
funny how people are wowed over it getting an M rating while here in Australia it hasn't changed (the last 3 games got this country's equivalent of M)
In Australia man sized bats attacking people isn't uncommon so I can see it receiving an M for incredibly realistic and disturbing content
So as graphics improve people are going to be less and less able to tell if it's scarecrow or actual GPU troubles.
