• Too many sex scenes in movies?

Yes I hate when a random sex scene crops up for no reason, horror movies seem fond of this.
It really depends on what kind of movie it is. I think that too many movies that sex scenes don't fit into include them. It isn't just movies, I think it applies to TV shows as well. Stargate Universe had way too many sexualised themes in it, which would have been fine if it were the kind of show where I don't mind that kind of thing.
If they can justify the scene I am ok with it. But having Male protagonist and Female protagonist bone after meeting is a little ridiculous. Also when they hate each other at first then ~10 minutes later they're going at it, just god damned stupid.
No... No, no, no. NO.
You've obviously not seen The Room
I fucking hate it when a good movie that I could watch with others just decides "herp derp unnecessary secks!!!"
I don't mind sex scene's as long as they aren't gratuitous.
I pretty much agree with what is said above.
Too many sex scenes? I don't know what you're trying to get at here, boy. :raise:
I dont mind if im watching with friends or alone. But for example when my dad asks me if i want to watch a movie with him, and that movie was Watchmen. Most embaressing moment of my life.
Sex scenes are shit and add nothing to the movie. They are always awkward and unrealistic.
You've obviously not seen The Room
Wasn't The Room the movie where some test subjects are entered, and the test taker shoots one of 'em to begin it?
Shoot 'Em Up. I don't need to say anymore.
I'd rather they concentrated on writing a good story than doing a rampant sex scene
In scandinavian movies, they don't fade to black :smug:
what we need: MORE SEX SCENES
what we need: MORE SEX SCENES
If you really love sex scenes then watch porn.
Porn often has sex scenes.
Sex sells.
Anyone else loving OP's statistic that's obviously a bonafide, set in stone fact. Where did you get 90% from? Anyway, as far as I'm concerned sex scenes are there to reinforce an emotional reation with the audeience. Some use romance, some use comedy, and Clive Owen uses guns. Which ever way they choose they very rarely get it wrong, so who cares anyway?

I honestly don't care if there is a sex scene in the movie I'm watching.
YES. It's so fucking annoying. I don't give a shit about romance, I just want to see the main char kill some more people, not watch some suggestive no-nudity bullshit romance. Do they expect me to start fapping in the theater? There is no point in sex scenes unless you're afraid to watch porn, you're a public masturbater, you like romance, or you like to sit around akward moments with your female cousin. If I want to see sex I'll watch porn. [editline]10:04AM[/editline]
I enjoy watching movies with my mother and this always makes it odd. If I wanted to watch porn I would.
A thousand times agree, forgot to mention. Also an inconvinence to the movie 300 was the beginning sex scene. The longest and worst sex scene goes to watchmen considering it was between the two characters that I didn't like, it lasted forever, and it just completely takes away from the story and the action. Also the most akward sex scene goes to the part in Inglorious Bastards where just out of fucking nowhere at the dinner scene it shows the guy fucking that one girl in the ass.
Seems odd to me that when people kill each other it is a perfectly acceptable part of a film, but the sex, that does no harm and doesn't result in anything ultimately is seen as offensive. Such is life :p.
I liked the Matrix sex scene :smug:
Almost every comedy movie on Comedy Central seems to be about sex. Like what scotland1 said, it's very unrealistic. I doubt that you'd ever get a BJ during a speech about graduating in Van Wilder. The only one I remember that wasn't was School for Scoundrels. That was a good movie. Has anyone else noticed that in every single modern horror film, it's about either summer time or college girls. If it's about summer the movie would start with a huge beach party where EVERYONE is getting drunk and all the girls are wearing revealing bikinis.
The real question is why does op care
The real question is why does op care
He probably likes to watch movies with his parents. A lot of people do.
I hated the day me and my family watched The hangover. It was ok until the end.
lol 69 voted fuck no :v:
What I really want is the fucking Holywood to reduce the unneccessary romance on their action movies, I mean Jesus Fuck I wouldn't give a shit about the brothers love towards his brothers girl in the Pearl Harbour Movie, most of the movie was centered around that and I fucking hated it. If the movie is categorized as "action", I'd expect some fucking awesomeness and not some lame "man's love" sidestory.
