My fucking god. I just realized I deleted all my projects together with the FL10 folder. What have I done.
My fucking god. I just realized I deleted all my projects together with the FL10 folder. What have I done.
..Recycle bin?
..Recycle bin?
Emptied it.
My fucking god. I just realized I deleted all my projects together with the FL10 folder. What have I done.
Wouldn't a system restore get them back? Also anyone got any tips on how to get out of writers block? For the last couple months I've just been making loads of pretty shit melodies in FL, get disheartened and then just end up deleting them.

Space Laces; -Listen to music you absolutely hate and it will drive you in the opposite direction, almost as if to get 'revenge' on that artist for writing such shitty music The space laces one is a bit iffy i'll admit
Jesus fucking christ I just removed FL Studio 10 with all my samples and it was over 16GB
I almost want to cry, just reading this. That's the last thing on my hard drive I'd ever want to lose.
I almost want to cry, just reading this. Prime example why backing up on at least 2-3 different data storage formats for your projects/samples is key (I have a 1tb external hdd and my projects folder sync'd to dropbox)

If anyone likes messing with synthesizers, you might be interested in FRACT OSC. It's a musical exploration game where you wander around this strange alien world filled with huge broken-down abstract machines, rebuilding them by restoring sound to the world. However, the reason I'm posting about it here is because it also includes a full studio for creating your own music. FRACT Studio tutorial #5: Composition Basics (the whole playlist) The devs state up-front that they're perfectly fine with player-created compositions being used for anything, commercial or otherwise, since, you know, it's your own work. The game launches Tuesday (so, hours away). I've got a thread for it in GGD, if anyone's interested.
I've just started playing around in ableton live... Just mucking around with the samples to make little songs using the draw tool. Would something like this be okay for what I'm doing http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Korg-MicroKey-USB-Midi-Controller-37-Key-Note-Keyboard-Micro-Key-BNIB-BM-/390690559936?pt=AU_Pro_Audio&hash=item5af6f8d7c0&_uhb=1 Just to make it easier than using the draw tool for things? Or is it not necessary.

(or at least thats what happened to me) If thats the case, then I still recommend getting one, but maybe something smaller. I got myself an Akai LPD 25 which is 2 octaves (fucking tiny) for 50 euros and it has served me well for many years. I played this on it: Theres also the akai mpd mini which introduces 8 cute pads and knobs with the keyboard, it looks cool and its fun to beat on pads. edit: Holy shit how is editing so broken on facepunch??
Does anybody know how to disable the drag up and down zoom in Cubase 5? It's been causing me hassle a lot :v:
The Akai MPK Mini is pretty awesome for its price
I was hoping you guys could help me with this. I have audio-technica AT3035 Cardioid Condenser Microphone that I am trying to sell. The original price for it was $349. The box is still intact and perfect, it has been opened. The mic has been used once. My question is, what would be a reasonable price to sell this for? I was thinking somewhere around $200. [t]http://puu.sh/8tcKl.JPG[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/8tcPI.JPG[/t]
-snip-
got a midi controller, the novation launchkey 25 so good also i think im gonna move from fl studio to ableton, starting to slowly learn it seems like a great program
People of the UK, check out these guys: http://www.richtonemusic.co.uk Even better if you can get to Sheffield, their shop is fantastic. It's the kind of place where you will walk out with something every time you go.
I've had the worst writers block for a month or so now, I love jamming with the maschine but I just can't seem to get anything worthwhile recorded. ITS KILLING ME

Is 140 dollars considered expensive for an acoustic guitar starter pack?
I have a 30 second long recording of my friend pissing, it's amazing
Did you not show me this? think i remember you did
Is 140 dollars considered expensive for an acoustic guitar starter pack?
Well, what's in it?
Is 140 dollars considered expensive for an acoustic guitar starter pack?
depends how crappy the guitar is
right, sorry for the lack of information: its this: ibanez v50njp-vs
$140 is probably the right price for that.
Yeah most likely, ibanez does good guitars, if you have a chance I'd go play it before I buy it though, to get a feel of it and to hear how it sounds. Play through every fret as well to see if there's any buzzing!
Since facepunch is based around gaming, I wondered if anyone knew how to find any mod/game developers that are looking for musicians/composers to write music for their shit, I really wanna get into that kinda shit it looks so fun to do

Look for that type of mod that is in current development and contact the developer. Most likely they will contact you back if they like the music you write.
