I got a whole setup in my room worth over 10,000 dollars. I love phono... [editline]04:17AM[/editline]
No, because I use FLAC.
I prefer vinyl over FLAC because you actually get to hold the physical copy of the music, along with the artwork that comes with most vinyl records. Like the last vinyl a bought which was a Cap'n Jazz record had 2 records, and a whole bunch of artwork along with biographies from the band and all of that. So... if you are a real music fanatic, it's a little more exciting to have a fresh vinyl coming in from the mail or leaving a vinyl record shop with a big smug grin on your face.
Does anyone buy current music in vinyl format? I know that people like Lady GaGa or..that's all I know for current mainstream artists.. but where do you buy them besides online?

In the US even superstores have vinyls. :frog:
So you just buy older albums?
So you just buy older albums?
Dedicated record stores can sell new sealed records. I have some newer albums on vinyl, also some reissues which are great. Who said I only buy older albums?
No one. That's why I was asking.
I have one of those USB turntables, so I only really use it once per record to convert it to FLAC.
I got a cheap one a few years ago, I was thinking of getting a USB one, are they any good?
I know of at least two Indie record stores that have vinyl around here. They have lots of newer Vinyl.
I got a cheap one a few years ago, I was thinking of getting a USB one, are they any good?
The one I have is pretty good.

My grandpa has a working record player from the late 30s, runs at 78 rpm and actually still sounds good. It is one of those hand crank portable ones.
