You said it was a genetic disorder. Since when are genetic disorders contagious?
Contagious? You can't 'catch' gay. Edit: Fuck that was 11 pages ago
why do people call gayness contagious, if no one has ever caught gayness
Contagious? You can't 'catch' gay. Edit: Fuck that was 11 pages ago
That's what I was saying.
why do people call gayness contagious, if no one has ever caught gayness
Ignorance.
I'm a christian, but I'm no where near extremist. Most may find it hard to believe I am, I'm for gay marriage, abortion, etc. And I don't run around trying to recruit people to Christianity. Most of my friends are Atheists, and they're pretty cool guys.
This guy is right. Not all Christians fall behind this sort of intolerance. I'm very much for equality as well.
The whole purpose of life is to reproduce. You can't reproduce with some the same gender as you. We are genetically hard-wired to be attracted to the opposite gender and if you are not, you have a mental disorder.
There is no reason or purpose for life. Everything you know and love is utterly meaningless.
Ignorance.
It isn't just ignorance. That being gay is 'contagious' is one of the many typical lies spread by the religious right wing demographic in order to alienate homosexuals.
I am not a racist, a sexist or a homophobe; I hate everyone equally! Huh? My exclaimation mark vanished.
I am not a racist, a sexist or a homophobe; I hate everyone equally
Misanthropes are funny.
No. A theory is something proven and tested by evidence and can be used to predict future outcomes based on starting circumstances.
That is a law, not a theory. Luckily we just went over the Scientific Revolution in History.
The purpose of life is to end. Simple as that.
That sounds like a commercial for stillbirths

We are genetically hard-wired to be attracted to the opposite gender and if you are not, you have a mental disorder.
Life doesn't have a purpose. It is just the result of a series of accidents. Saying life has a purpose would imply that we are here for a reason, which would imply that some magical wizard or something created us. And as we all know, that is something only a complete moron would believe. cough religion cough
More gays means more gay parades also HIV/AIDS will spread even more!
:sigh: at people who seem to think HIV/AIDS originated from gays, or that gays are the main reason for the disease spreading.
Religion killed more people than Nuclear Bombs have, and have definitely started and ended more wars than Nuclear weapons have, That's how it's fact. Religion is worse than Nuclear Weapons
I think you get that image because religion has often been missused as the reason to do certain things. All 3 big world religions don't even speak a word of killing other people in the name of religion. In fact, the holy war that many muslim extremists prclaim is not to be found in the Coran. Neither will you find a rule or hint in the bible to start a holy crusade against the islam.
You must be one of those morons who believes evolution is a sentient process, as well.
At least those people make an effort not to deny evidence.
There is no reason or purpose for life. Everything you know and love is utterly meaningless.
That's only true when you need someone else to compare to to give things a meaning. I can give my life a meaning myself, I don't need a higher being or purpose. I think the right phrase would be "Life has never been GIVEN a meaning." It gave the meaning to itself.
By this point in the thread, anything I say will be totally ignored, but I'll say it anyway: The argument of "it's not natural" is broken by the fact that eating bread is not natural. We all eat, or have eaten bread at some point, yet, bread wasn't made before agriculture allowed the production of flour. I consider this period, between the evolution of homo sapiens and the advent of agriculture, as being the "natural" lifestyle for humans-- that is, small hunting and gathering tribes in East Africa. So, either stop eating bread and live like it's the stone ages, or accept homosexuality alongside bread, automobiles, and phones. EDIT: Damn, when I said the post would be ignored, I didn't think people would ignore the THREAD too. Maybe my argument is just so awesome it's leaves no more room for discussion.
There is no reason or purpose for life. Everything you know and love is utterly meaningless.
Which is why everything is so wonderful! You can invent your own reasons and sliding scale of importance! Jelly and ice cream is more important than financial success! :D

Homosexuality is a choice, not a locked mind-set.
hahaha, you're pretty fucking naive.
Homosexuality isn't a choice. I doubt anyone would choose to be gay knowing that it isn't natural (I don't mean this in an offensive way) and that they could possibly be alienated by some people. It is, however, a choice to flaunt homosexuality. I'm heterosexual but I don't feel the need for everyone to know that I am sexually attracted to women. The same should apply for homosexuals. Most people don't really know how to act around a homosexual person, and if said person acts very flamboyant it makes it uncomfortable. [editline]07:16PM[/editline]
Take it as a compliment. Imagine if a girl did that.
It's not the same thing, and if a girl did that I would still be a little put off. It was wierd. And I am attracted to girls, not guys. He knew that and he still did it.

If you don't really get what they do completely, it's kind of awkward. The fact that their gay gives it a double helping of weird with a side of sexual harassment. Of course, straight people are totally guilty of this too. I've had several times when people say "Man, women/breasts are great." At this point I'd go. "Yea, those women/breasts." and then change the subject. :/
