Mine is mostly influenced by deathcore, djent, and there's a little bit of trance in it too. I don't think the end result could be strictly labelled as any of them, but if I had to give it a genre I would say deathcore.
edit: Actually I'm gonna keep that one for my solo stuff since it's a little more experimental, I've got another one which again is finished, just need to record which hopefully I will start tonight. Genre would probably be metalcore.

if there's too much death/black metal in this thing count me out.
Even though some more varied genres would be nice, there's no need to be like that dude. I don't like speed metal, but this album is just a bit of fun.

Here is the instrumental version of my brutal death metal song, I think I'm done with it unless someone here has any good reason not to call it done. Now I just gotta find a day where I can record vocals.
SO. MUCH. BASS.
:psyduck:
How fast is that god damn double bass going?

I don't know why it's so bassy, but I can probably fix that.
How fast is that god damn double bass going?
Just fast enough. :c00lbert:
I was going to submit this to the regular collab album thing, but if it works better here then I'd be happy to switch.

It's some type of symphonic metal, so I don't know if it will fit with what you guys are making.
I've been working on an acoustic instrumental version of Skin by Breaking Benjamin, not exactly metal but if you want it i'd be willing to contribute

Sounds like 100% music to me.
The song I'm making for the album.

And here is the latest version of that song.

Would this be considered metal or rock?

I'd say hard rock.
Sounds like 100% music to me.
I thought it sounded pretty neat.
Maybe not exactly metal (everything but the guitar was super bassy and muted, and the guitar had a strange tone), but it was pretty neat.
Anyways this is something I can actually contribute to. I think I might just throw together a fucking shitload of half-finished songs I've done and just put them into a single soundfile and upload, and then let you guys decide if I should even bother trying.
I currently have like 25 or so unfinished pieces. I've recently stopped even naming the songs, so they have appetizing names like "01" and "02." I currently have 10 unfinished tracks under such names. :v:
What do you guys think?

Probably hard rock. The guitar tone is a little trebly and tinny to my ears, but that could just be me...

Holy fucking shit!
This is definitely going on my iPod.
Right now.
The only thing I don't really like is the name of the song.
Alright, I started getting a rough draft on the vocals, but I want to know if they would make the song better or worse. I think the song can stand on its own, but the vocals could make it more interesting. So after a few days of figuring out the vocals I quad tracked it and it is quite bad. What I want to know is, should I not include the vocals in the final version because it would sound better without them. There are a lot of issues with the rough draft, so pretty much what I am asking is if you think it would make the song better given they were perfect takes of the same idea.

so what happened to this
I guess it died out, that's pretty disappointing. I was looking forward to it.
ffff but i'm still working on my song
This thread just needs a revival. If I were a rock/metal producer, I'd help, but sadly I am not.
Yeah is this dead or what
Pretty much.
oh well I don't think anyone would like my song too much anyway
I made three lo-fi acoustic songs for this, I posted a thread but nobody seems to give a shit
Aliens: A simple song, detailing why aliens are so fucking cool

Stupid Dream: Detailing the experiences of a stupid dream

Surfin': A song about not giving a fuck and surfin'

I think the OP completely forgot about the project.
fucking hell, i forgot about this
