It may not be as adrenalinic as a Tom Clancy book, and most probably not what you would normally call "cool". But I do suggest reading it, because like it or not it's an extremely important book, no matter if you are religious or not. Also I suggest reading all the others too (Koran and such) if you are going to read the bible.

Not really. None of the plot ever links up.

Word for word it sucks, if you summarize it it's pretty good. Well, there are are few good lines but it's mostly shit.

I haven't settled on any particular belief in any sort of spiritual manner (I scoff at most forms organized religion, not to be edgy, but because I think they tend to limit the enjoyment of life, and I disagree with a lot of their ethics) but I don't deny the possibility of something other than the physical realm. And second of all, suddenly people are attempting to be "edgy" because they think the Bible is a bunch of bullshit? So I guess that makes a good percentage of the world "edgy", doesn't it? All I was saying is that if the Bible spawns hate and discrimination amongst its believers, then it must be a bad book to look to for morality, not a good one. Sure, it might say "do not kill", but then as I recall from a Bible reading session I went to with my friend (his family is religious, I spent the night on a saturday, and they of course go to church sunday morning), god makes disbelievers bowels explode. What a morally acceptable book. Don't get all butthurt just because I insult your favorite work of fiction.

I'm Christian, and I read it. Some parts were interesting, but some parts are fucking boring. You probably wouldn't like it.

You can get one for free if you go to the right places. It is essentially like an ad brochure in a way.

I find it interesting as a historical religious document, a source for the inspiration of much fiction, and a possible source for information on the Roman Empire, the nation we descend our governments from. Apart from that... it's just a frigging book.

I honestly cannot sit down and read it without feeling like a kid with ADD trying to do his homework on the internet. Not that it's bad or anything, it just cannot hold my attention worth a shit.
