I used to wonder why religious people hated atheists. Now, I don't.
Odd, I never used to wonder why atheists hated religious people. I guess we're just smarter
Well I am now. Hamlet was by no means a prick faced bitch.
:ohdear: what the fuck, doublepost
I used to wonder why religious people hated atheists. Now, I don't.
I've never wondered why I don't like republicans. I still don't.
There is nothing wrong with Christianity or any other faith. People believe in what they believe in for reasons that vary person to person. Some people enjoy the sense of comfort that Heaven, a place of perfection in the afterlife, brings them. Others take pride in being able to live a "holy life" and feel like a better person for living under a higher order. The only time religion becomes a burden unto society is when religious fanatics attack those of a differing faith (or lack thereof) for not practicing a certain religion or living under a certain philosophy.
You mean you weren't trolling prior? :frown:
It's been scientifically proven that idiots and trolls are virtually indistinguishable.
The only time religion becomes a burden unto society is when religious fanatics attack those of a differing faith (or lack thereof) for not practicing a certain religion or living under a certain philosophy.
Or when they run a country and use it to impede on the rights of others.
There is nothing wrong with Christianity or any other faith.
Christanity is both logically and morally wrong.
I don't answer to you. Now be a good little Mexican and get back to mowing my lawn.
You do answer to me.
Or when religious people try to stop scientific research because their version of a god might not like it. @Parahex
Even though I agree, in that I believe there is no God, I think you're an idiot for trying to prove it.
Fiscally Conservative, Socially Liberal. FYI.
Then why the hell do you vote conservative?
I don't answer to you. Now be a good little Mexican and get back to mowing my lawn.
Joke's on you, HE DIDN'T MOW IT EVENLY.
differing views? also you can be religious and still be an atheist
I give up. FP has been lost to the elitist retards who plague it like a fucking disease. This is going to turn into the next /b/, watch it.
Even though I agree, in that I believe there is no God, I think you're an idiot for trying to prove it.
I guess you would be an idiot for trying to prove that little Jessica's imaginary friend isn't real, as well. Well, maybe. Because technically, they do exist. But only in the minds of the mentally unstable (Christians).
Christanity is both logically and morally wrong.
Why is it morally wrong?
I guess you would be an idiot for trying to prove that little Jessica's imaginary friend isn't real, as well.
Yes you would because it's up to Jessica to come to terms with reality.
Do you guys know what being religious means compared to being christian, muslim or jew etc.? It's the belief in a higher force and not necessarily the narrow minded dogma it has become today.
Why is it morally wrong?
Incest everywhere.
Slavery, homophobia, murdering people of other faiths etc.
I understand why people don't just think about it logically and agree that God is very unlikely. So many people believe, and have done for thousands of years so just saying woops we were wrong would seem a bit shit.

What about the pope's stance against condoms in AIDS ridden Africa? Or Mormonism's excommunication f anyone with even slightly differing views?
Why is it morally wrong?
You can't argue with these people. They insist they are always correct and simply insult everyone who thinks otherwise. Also known as liberals.
Why is it morally wrong?
Because its morals are outdated.
You can't argue with these people. They insist they are always correct and simply insult everyone who thinks otherwise. Also known as liberals.
Close button top-right corner

And not all religions have a god.
